In this video I show you how to install a SuperATV winch bumper on my 2019 YXZ1000R. Along with the SuperATV winch bumper I'm also showing you how to install a harbor freight winch on my Yamaha YXZ1000R. The Harbor Freight winch is a Badland 3500 UTV rated winch. The SuperATV bumper is a perfect match for the Harbor Freight winch. The Badland 3500 fits perfectly with the pre-drilled holes in the bumper. Included in the video I show you how to install the bumper winch and also wire up the Harbor Freight winch on my 2019 YXZ1000R. There's a flat mounting plate, with threaded bosses, on top of the frame crossmember, just ahead of the firewall. Looks like it may have originally been for a radiator bracket. Seems like the logical place for the solenoid. Mine fits perfectly, with a bolt and a zip tie. No need to disconnect battery & solenoid wiring to remove plastics, not to mention it's rigid, minimizing vibration, plus less exposure to water....always a good thing, especially with electrical components.

Getting ready to undertake this job on my '21 yxz ss. I'm going to go for the 5k winch, seems they're roughly the same size and mount the same. This was a great guide to get me going, thank you!

Yea i was going to make my own but just decided it was easier to buy one lol And they are not too expensive
is the 5000 lb winch from harbor freight the same bolt pattern as the 3500?
That bumper looks sweet but it looks like it covers up the headlights… must just be the angle

Have you considered installing an Alba air box spacer? Have you replaced your secondary air filter yet, how challenging was it on your 19?

Any concerns about the winch and wiring sticking out the side of the bumper unprotected or is that just the camera angle?
Works great so far. I have a warranty just incase. The wires are covered now with the little rubber boots it came with, just forgot about them when I filmed the video.

I'm very impulsive with my money and I just want to buy an ATV now, they're pretty uncommon over here, I don't even know what our regulations are but for sure it would be absolutely deadly to have one for my videos!

@@BriGuy503 I was on one when I was a kid but someone else was driving and I fell off and they somehow managed to run over my legs, no damage of course and it was a lot of fun and that was way back in the day, i'm from Scotland so i'd love to get one and transport it to the highlands and just shred around the landscape the with one, that would be quite an enjoyable experience! Then again i'm no ATV master so you'd know more than me if that was even wise or a possibility! .

Don't lift it, it will be too tippy

@@BriGuy503 got worse once I added spare tire factory carrier and spare tire and system and lights and rear box loaded ........ Is Weller plug and okay stuff or fabrication involved .... Never heard of it
Check out weller racing. They build some good stuff. The shocks would be plug and play
Stupid go pro… I took about 15 videos riding a couple weekends ago and every one of them were corrupted
