I personally think he needs a bit of a buff or rework to the drink meter or minus it to 3 cause its hard to pull it off plus not cool how Manon keeps her grabs till the match is over but Jamie resets 😂
Just wanna say, I adore that you did a tutorial on modern controls. I’ve been a fighting game fan for a while now but the inputs can still be a bit difficult for me so I opted for modern even with some move losses. At the end of the day it’s just a different play/fighting style so don’t listen to anyone calling it a “fake” or “bad” control scheme. Keep it up and thanks again man!

woah, I didn't know I could special cancel the 5LP-5LK-5MP drink 1 unique.
I will gladly start to use and abuse, thanks for the advices.
Another thing that could be told is all special cancelable moves, for example 2HP, 2MK and 5MK, and that 5MP leaves you at advange, which allows you to connect other hits that turn into combos. The hardest part of Jamie is missinput, which will leave you vulnerable after a good connect, and also not use specials so openly, because those are highly punishable on block.

I think it's nice that you're making videos with characters using modern controls, it's a group of players who don't normally have guides made for them.
However, I think it would be really nice if you mentioned, whether in the title or in the start of the video that this is a modern controls guide, as it is an important distinction.

You have to equip his moves in the setting in world tour once you unlock his moves, though I’m not sure drinking is one of em 😅
I don't know if im bad or not but I can't get the drink 4 forward heavy (back heavy) attack to work in world tour could use a tip

Gonna be honest I think gatekeeping isn't necessarily a bad thing but there are some people who are disabled who could benefit from modern controls. There was a sf4 player who played chun li despite having one (limited) hand and he used his mouth to press buttons. Modern controls could help with that even if it will also help people who just suck

Ya gotta hold the last button of the combo to get the drink in and a REKKA Is the 3 hit special move you can stop at at anytime during it.

I'm new to fighting games in general, so i appreciate the modern guide. I have a question though. Do you think jamie is fine for a newbie, or should they really pick up someone else?
Mmmm it’s hard to say cuz some newbies can pick up him just fine. But to be honest he’s a bit harder to grasp and get the hang of compared other characters because of his drink mechanic that adds another thing to learn and keep track of mid fight. If you can handle that then he’s great!

@@onestep bit late to the party but it just feels odd to make a combo guide for a control scheme that auto combos. I mean anyone worth their salt will move on to classic after they get a hold of the game in modern. Classic is just objectively better outside of niche cases.

On modern controls your not even playing the game. Its great for new players and maybe if you want to see the moves for a new character. But you lose acess to moves and tools, and you do less damage overall. No use doing a guide for modern.
