I'm glad to say why I only use the King James Version. If you read Matthew the 4th chapter in the exchange between Jesus and Satan, you will see where the devil tries to "quote" scripture, Psalm 91 in particular. But Satan left out the very important part of the verse "to keep thee in all thy ways". How do I know that? Because I can go to Psalm 91 and read the scripture in context and entirety and find the devil's lie by comparing the Psalm to Matthew. I can catch the devil's lie with the KJV. Try that with any other version. And good people, if Satan has been able to delete that lie from the other versions then Satan must have been whispering in the translator's ear. And the Holy Spirit gives the meaning to Scripture, so I don't need some "modern" in today's language to give me understanding. Brother, you said you wanted to hear from KJV only. Here it is. Please understand the following to be a disagreement on an *issue*. I'm not attacking you personally. Can we agree that God's word is inspired *in the original writings* ? Can we also agree that Moses, Paul, etc, didn't write in English? Many years ago, I heard a preacher say "If the King James Bible was good enough for Paul and Silas, it's good enough for me." The KJV is a translation, dated to 1611 AD. Paul and Silas never saw it. I'm not trying to insult anyone: evidently some well-meaning people need to be informed. The KJV has a very special number of words? That's interesting. Remarkable. But unconvincing. It's a number. One person says he knows the KJV is superior, because another translation is wrong, because it disagrees with the KJV. Well. That's an example of assuming you're right, and using that assumption to prove you're right. Respectfully, I disagree. And especially: the one who said that a Bible translator was listening to Satan whispering. Wow. That's much too close to the offense in Mark 3:30. Do not lightly accuse someone of devilry when he's trying to transmit the Bible! English readers are blessed with plenty of translations. Some are better than others, but they are all translations: the results of human efforts to understand and interpret God's words. Brothers and sisters, I wish to remain in good fellowship with you. KJV has been proven with numerics and in fruit of it's unity and it's evangelism. God has inspired it's creators. Other translations in comparison have translated it in favor of worldly views instead of intended views. Also, other translations take away verses, they bow the knee to authority of trinitarians, and they also have very little effort in honest translation but rather they quickly output book after book for profit and manipulation. As a KJV believer and reader, other translations are the work of the Devil, but I don't relay this to the readers there of. God can use imperfect text just the same as using imperfect people. I hate your attacks to KJV without any love in your tongue. Authorized version, KJV finished in 1769, is a perfect book and needs no addendum. 1611-KJV IS NOT a perfect book. The Elton Anomaly convinced me to switch to the KJV. Go down that rabbit hole and you'll see just how perfect the KJV is.
