I found this discussion very interesting, I was saved and brought up on King James,, As you both said its the word of God and l understand the verse to explain. Love my King James. Thank you both, The LORD bless you both 🙏 ❤️ praying for Israel, from New Zealand 🇳🇿 🙏
I pray that more Pastors listen to this study and others that explain the differences and how we got our Bibles. I too favor the KJV. It's the one I understand most and rely on for my Bible Studies. There is so much deception out there. I certainly would hate to be doing a serious study from God's word and find out that the translation I had took some verses out or changed them. We are not to add or take away from God's word, especially from the Book of Revelation as Jesus Himself makes clear in this stern warning in Re. 22. I pray that all people world wide gain eyes to see and ears to hear God's truth-away from the lies and confusion of the world and the enemy in Jesus name amen. God bless you Amir and thank you for this study.
Father God please continue to protect everyone in Israel 🇮🇱 the IDF Pastor Rick and Amir. I enjoy this so much. Thank you God bless you both all 👪 families
Thank you so much for sharing how various translations can be helpful as we study the Word. I love reading different versions to gain a clearer understanding of scripture but have always been concerned about accuracy and fidelity to original intent and interpretation. It makes sense that since languages are so different, additional translations can be helpful - especially since English is limited compared to both Hebrew and Greek. I'm honestly relieved to hear that it's okay to study different versions as long as they are accurate interpretations. God bless you both and thank you. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Coming to Christ in the 80's I was given " the Good News" Bible being Afrikaans speaking (SA) I was in love with this translation because it reads like a love poem . Easy to understand for me. But i have grown and learn about the KJV and English Standard. Both is good now for me. The I got a gift..The Passion Translation.. once again it reads like a love poem but if you don't have the Holy Spirit's leading you dould fund nothing wrong in this translation..but there are many mistakes in it. So reading in it becomes less and less...'cause your Spirit are seeking constantly the truth. Thank you Rick and Amir for your hard wonderfull work ❤❤
grew up on King James as well and my American Standard throughout high school but there are just some verses I memorized in KJ and nothing can change that :) Regardless God's word is living and does not return void. I do believe that no matter which you read you will hear and see Him. Also, the best one to choose is the one you will read. Shalom
I've read the 1984NIV like six times , KJV twice, NKJV and NASB once each. Now I'm in Judges of the KJV again. I've memorized like 16 chapters of the 1984NIV by the way.

@maximaphily601 You mean, KJV has more blood of Jesus than other translations? Romans 5:9 Since we have now *been justified by his blood,* how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the *blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.* Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place *by the blood of Jesus,*

I was given a KJV Bible in 1952 when I was promoted from the Primary Department to the Junior Department in Sunday school. (The next year they started giving RSV Bibles.) But I couldn’t read it. 😢 Then when I was 18 I had a Christmas job at Gimbel’s Department Store in Philadelphia (I was interested to learn that Dr. Rick studied at PCB 😊), I picked up a paperback copy of the JB Phillips translation of the NT (a frank paraphrase that Phillips himself said wasn’t meant to replace the KJV), and I couldn’t put it down! When I attended Florida Presbyterian College (now Eckerd College) in St. Petersburg, they recommended the RSV. I bought an NASB when it first came out in 1971. I used to use the NIV for my devotions, but since I now read the Bible at home online, I’ve also enjoyed the New Living Translation. I live in Haifa 🇮🇱, so I prefer to use the NASB for meetings, since it’s easier to follow the Hebrew. 📖 I agree with Dr. Rick: the best translation is the one that speaks to you! ❤️
I too, also learned throughout my years of study, that there are quite a few people/ christians, MANY, that throw stones bc of versions other then the KJV also. But, I just tell them how I thank God for them bc they truly got me to a point that I now understand the Holy Bible/KJV. I've always wondered why so many get angry, but .... I'm now understanding this as I listen to Pastor Rick explaining it. And I apologize to Amir, for never being taught Hebrew and for it being so hard for me to be taught it even today w study, but again; I thank God that I'm where I am today.
Dean Odle & Sal Corona has an excellent presentation of how God's Word was seven times refined ..& how the King James is Most important translation next to Original Greek & Hebrew version; God Bless you Amir for sharing the Word to so many hungry souls-- so encouraging! Love you in Christ, from Canada, Manitoba
Amir and Rick have an excellent presentation here. The KJV has translation errors based on the knowledge of man at the time. It also contains extra verses that are not there. So no, the KJV is NOT 'Most important translation next to Original Greek & Hebrew version' Today, young people use words differently 'wicked for example' so a different translation is required. The most important version is one that people can understand. I started with 'Good News' and it was great for the first few years of my Christian life. Then I found it to be too shallow. I looked at the KJV but it was useless to me. It wasn't readable. I looked at the ASV and it was better but still too hard. I settled on the NASB and it has stood me in great stead.

Thank you fellas for this interview vlog. This was so insightful. I have been wanting an expert opinion on this for a long time. I use the parallel Bible a good bit when studying and I often wonder about the differences. Dr Rick really explained his thoughts well. I will have to say, after hearing about the Message Bible, I think that one is in far Left field, if you know what I mean. I scratched that one off pretty quickly. But I probably have a minimum of seven different versions in my house, but I do lean on my NIV a great deal. I'm so thankful for God's Word. It is more precious than gold. ❤️🥰🙏
These guys are NOT experts on bible versions, trust me. This was so poor, really poor. Just shows the ignorance of the body of Christ. One of hundreds I could give: Does the blood of Christ mean anything to you? Col 1:14 KJV In whom we have redemption *through his blood,* even the forgiveness of sins. NIV In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. NASB In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Kjv only,,,Psalms 12:6-7 [6]The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. [7]Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.😊
What are you saying? That these were added to the Texus Recepticus or that these should not be there. I could agree if you think the latter simply because they are not in the earliest Hebrew texts (Dead Sea Scrolls included)
Psalm 12 is about God preserving the poor and needy being oppressed by the wicked, not a Bible translation. Read the context. It's the constancy of God's words over against the treacherous wicked speaking proudly and idly with flattering lips.
@@PhilWatson-f3u I don't get it. Here we are talking about translations and you bring this up. Are you suggesting Amir and Rick are the treacherous wicked, speaking proudly and idly with flattering lips. How else is this relevant?
You know, I was brought up on the Holy Bible (KJV). My GrandParents and the Church we went to taught from it. It was very hard for me to understand, though. (Granted I was very young), but even as I got older it was very hard. I know it got worse as I got older bc my epilepsy and memory. (Even as I read, Ill literally forget often, the sentence i read right before the one where I'm at. Sometimes even just words in sentences, I won't realize they were in the sentence), but indeed, it was very hard for me at first. & I apologize to Amir for my slow ability or memory problems bc it seems as this is being explained, he has had many rude comments about those not understanding Hebrew or the KJV. But, after I gave my life to Christ and was baptized, the first Bible that I read & studied both the old and new testament for YEARS, was the NIV. & It truly helped me understand what I couldn't at first w the Holy Bible. I also studied the NKJV bc I was able understand it better. Now a days, I'm reading my GrandFathers Holy Bible (KJV), which may take slower reading for me for study, but it's truly an answered prayer that I can now understand, what I never imagined being able to. I also know for sure, that Amir, Pastor Mikes and Dr Ricks teachings and readings are a LARGE version of why I can now understand it as I do now, but it did take time for me and different teachers or Pastors throughout my life to get me where I am today.
@private5456 - won't it be wonderful, beyond all imagination, when we finally meet Jesus Christ face to face and He renews our mind and body? I look forward to that with such eagerness! May God bless _YOU_ richly in the here and now ... and even more so "soon" !!

Thank you for explaining the differences between the different Bibles. I use the New King James Bible for everyday usage. Yet, I have my paternal Grandparents King James Bible left to me. I, also, have my Dad's Bible. Recently, as reference material, hubby got me the reprint of the 159o Geneva Bible that includes several other documents from our history. I am interested in obtaining, as reference material, the Renner Interpretation Version of the books of JUDE and JAMES. Dr. Renner just shows by going from Greek to English adds meaning to the KJV. He doesn't change anything. Just adds depth and clarity. May GOD bless. Standing strong for and praying for Israel from West Virginia.
They did NOT explain it, if you are that ignorant, research it. They were so bad. Be careful of the NKJV also, it is RC inspired also (though not as bad as others), like most modern versions. The NKJV deletes important words from the Bible. It deleted “Lord” 66 times, “God” 51 times, “JEHOVAH” entirely, “blood” 23 times, “soul” 137 times, “damnation” entirely, “hell” 22 times, “heaven” 50 times, “repent” 44 times, “New Testament” entirely, etc…
I have found the NASB very good for word for word and readability. KJV is easier to memorize. Bottom line is thank God for all accurate translations!! Thank you once again Dr Rick and Amir!

I love you Amir and I love Israel with all my heart and support you in every way. Nonetheless, I think you should look into the case for the Textus Receptus a bit deeper. There are early manuscripts backing up the verses that are in question. Actually the majority of the Greek Manuscripts read like the Textus Receptus, the Modern Bibles use supposdely older but a minority of the manuscripts. The modern Bible text is called The Critical Text (the name itself is interesting) and it comes from Egypt. And what do we know about Egypt in the Bible? The Critical Text also has Catholic influence. The Textus Receptus comes from Antioch which is the first place we got the name Christians from. Please read 1 Timothy 3:16 and 1 John 5:7 from both the King James and modern critical text translations like the ESV and tell me which one matches up more with John Chapter 1. I would pray about it. I used to believe the modern scholars until I read a book called "51 Reasons Why the King James: A Path from Doubt to Faith" by "David W. Daniels"

Isaiah 14:12 KJV, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" - but in NIV it says "How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!" Morning Star is the title claimed by Jesus in Rev. 22:16 that NIV applies to Lucifer.
@@DebRoo11 yes, I do too. God is the God of order, why the confusions? That's why I prefer to use the original and the most bloodstained book in history, the KJV which converted countless multitudes to faith since the dawn of the church age.
@@eleazarallen292 The original??? Wrong, the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts are the original. The KJV converted multitudes??? Umm, no sorry. The Holy Spirit did. The Dawn of the church age??? What since AD33??? Errrr, no again. KJV was published 1611. You seem to be prone to a little exaggeration.
NIV is a thought for thought translation, remember. The word they rendered ‘Morning Star’ and KJV rendered Lucifer’ is הֵילֵל [hêlêl] in Hebrew. KJV translators knew that the Latin Bible - which KJV was replacing in Anglican Churches (since King James’s uncle and predecessor, King Henry 8th, had broken free of Papal Authority and set up the Church of England) - had translated הֵילֵל [hêlêl] as Lucifer. They decided to keep the Latin “name” associated with the Opponent of God’s good purposes, because it had become entrenched in the Elizabethan cultural mindset. In Latin, ‘Lucifer’ was used to refer to the planet Venus, also known as the morning star. The word Lucifer is Latin and comes from the words lux-lucis (light) and ferre (to bring). Isaiah 14:12 The Vulgate translates the Hebrew word hêlēl, which means "Shining One", as Lucifer. 2 Peter 1:19 The Vulgate translates the Greek word Phosphoros, which means "Light-Bringer", as Lucifer.
@@kymdickman8910 Satan is an usurper of divine authority with demonic pagan goddess Venus claiming the same title of morning star that Jesus claims for Himself. It can't be copyrighted because it has been in the public domain for centuries. However, there are many so-called study bibles using the KJV text which are copyrighted, because the study notes are the intellectual property of the author of those notes, and they have the right to protect their work from plagiarists and pirates.
@@redmane_0725 why it’s not copyrighted is not relevant. What the comment above you is saying it’s concerning because Gods word should be available to anyone without copy right, and IF copyrighted should be copyrighted to God, who would disapprove of copyright anyway. God wants His word available to all. There are definitely evil forces behind the scenes trying to mess things up.
@jamesjun1258 Of course it is relevant. There are organizations and individuals behind any work of translation who have invested many man-hours, and their own resources, into producing these works. Since all workmen are worthy of their wages (a thoroughly Biblical principle) they have a right to recover those costs. That they should protect the fruits of their intellectual labor and scholarship with copyright law is perfectly fine and just.
@@redmane_0725 I see where you’re coming from, but a lot of these men did not put their work in to generate a revenue. They did it of their own goodwill inspired by God.
@jamesjun1258 I made no claim that these men were motivated by an interest in creating revenue. The point is that they have invested their time, skills, and talents, to create a work that will benefit those who have been called out of the world to be joined to Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, His church, His kingdom. There is nothing wrong or unseemly in using copyright law to protect the fruits of their labor.
Sorry for the rockets. So glad you didn’t have to go. We pray all the time we remember you and all of Israel. The teaching is superb. We understand the importance of translations to other languages. For us, however, learning from the original languages has been the greatest blessing in our Christian walk having studied at DTS and Bible College.
Co-incedently something I thought about this weekend and Michael Heiser pointed out in one of his discussions about demons. The language I speak was standardised towards end of the 1920's. The first translation was done 1933 and I was fortunate to get hold of a copy. I will now use this as a reference in conjunction with the amplified (my language and english). The number of translations that are generated concerns me.
The New Living Translation is (in my opinion) such a wonderful tool for parallel studies. When I first truly came to Christ (reborn) I believe the Holy Spirit directed me straight towards the NLT because He knows what works for each and every person growing in the Grace and Knowledge!
@@frenkvortice3858These verses we ommitted because they were not found in earlier Greek text... some earlier manuscripts were found after the King James were written. The KJV is based on the Textus Receptus which only used a handful of manuscripts. Later translations used more than 5800 manuscripts some of which are much older than the Textus Receptus. So, the verses that are not included were not found in the earlier Greek text. No conspiracy, no changing of the Word of God - just based on older Greek manuscripts.
Exactly. Those versions are always being corrected and updated. Can you say filthy lucre? They are driven by greed. Using those versions on line and posting verse from them requires permission. The KJV requires no permission and easier to memorize. Especially since it never changes. Like the God I believe in. The same yesterday, today and forever. Thank you LORD.

I have been a Christian over 67 years. I have watched the increase of English translations. I do not believe that the reasons stated in the video even begin to approach an explanation. There are currently about 1000 English translations. There is absolutely no good reason for having so many translations. As more translations have been produced and our education system has been crumbling and most people have forsaken the King James Bible, we have not seen all these translations create more biblical literacy, but less. It has served only to create confusion and for many people doubt of the legitimacy of the Bible as God's word. The church is vastly weaker and less vital than it was 50 years ago when the KJV Bible was what almost every Christian used. Today, instead of greater understanding of the scriptures and greater fervency of faith, we have less understanding, more heretical beliefs, and less fervency of faith. It grieves me when I see what has happened to the church in the English-speaking world. But now there are several generations which never saw the church as I have seen it. There are probably millions of Christians who have never even seen a King James Bible, much less read one. I think this is a sign of the end times, when the love of many wax cold.
Amir...I met your teacher Shari? Talking at my church in USA ...Didnt know what grade but she gave a good talk to some of the Elders who likely quite ignorant of what Israel is currently going through.
I have been reading the KJV for most of my life, and have memorized a lot of Bible verses in it. I also enjoy the NKJV, but find other translations to be watered down and even missing important truths! For example Philippians 4:13 says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. However, I recently noticed that the NIV says “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Just one word has been changed, but it is a very important word!
Israel is always in my prayers along their gov and military & also Amir and his family. I thank God everyday for all of Behold Israel and also; the hostages and their families are always in my prayers as well. And indeed! Thank you, Jesus for the outcome of the elections here in the USA. God bless
A great segment! I remember when I was in Bible College we were warned about the IJn 5:7 verse, and told not to use it! Your story had me laughing! I'm sure whoever added hhe clarification MEANT well. He's probably still hearing about it! " It's been 800 years, give it a rest!"
Jesus said he was the beginning and the end. If you add up the vowels and the consonants ot the first and the last verse of the Bible (KJB of course) you get as many vowels and consonants as in that verse that declares the trinity of God. Just a coincidence? What would be the propability of that? Made by men? How was it possible, when OT was written in Hebrew, NT in Greek, and this wonder appears in a faithful translation in 1611?
No one added any clarification, that are deceiving you, this was a terrible interview by two people with near NIL knowledge. I can give you debates lasting hours just on 1 Jn 5:7 if you want them!
In a Bible study class the Pastor was asking this question about what is not in the KJV Bible and the NIV Bible. He said it was because after the dead sea scrolls were found and holes were in KJV and then the NIV added more Scripture. God bless you both and Israel is in my prayers. ❤❤❤
Hmmm, I read the KJV all the time and have no issues understanding it. I think there is a decline in education resulting in poor vocabulary and people unwilling to pickup a dictionary. Often times I have seen some translation watered down. Also not all translations are taken from the same text. You may have covered in separate video. Sorry, but I do think many publishers are more interested $$$.
Unfortunately because of the lowering of educational standards, kids don't read the classics anymore. I graduated in 1972. We read Shakespeare and Beowolf. Kids today would burn the books and hang the teacher. I had an English teacher in 9th grade. We actually had books distributed then that you carried from class to class. She issued us a Dictionary on the 1st day of school. Every week, we were assigned a new page. You copied every word, the definition and whether it was an noun, etc. Then had to write a sentence for each definition of every word. Then write the word 5 times. Every Friday we had a test on that page. Anyone who received a D, the next week did the page over plus the new page. She was a strict task master but kids learned. My senior year of English was considered as college prep. So you had to have a certain grade to be assigned to that class. Thank Heaven, I loved English and History. We need a return to basics. Forget CORE. If a child can't read, they aren't going to progress through any other classes. Return cursive to classrooms. It won't hurt kids to know how to actually write a letter. May GOD bless
Shalom Amir. Most modern translations are from a Greek perspective. I want to suggest you investigate the channel "The Writing of God " from a Hebraic perspective
The Institute for Scripture Research bible is the one I have started reading about 4 years ago and I love it over my other bibles . This new English translation includes Genesis through Revelation. Restores the Name of our Creator to the Text in each place it occurs in Modern Hebrew letters. This new version in English is a literal translation. By Institute for Scripture Research, overseen by Dr. Chris Koster. New in the 2009 edition: Improvements to the text - seeking a yet closer equivalent to the literal meaning of the original language. Quotations / Allusions from the Tanakh (O.T.) are in bold type in the Second Writings (N.T.), and are accompanied by the text references - aiding your understanding of the original contexts, and how they influence the writers drawing upon them. Hebrew names of Book Titles are now on right hand pages with corresponding traditional English names on the left hand pages - making it easier for you to find the place, and easier to learn the Hebrew titles. (Hebrew names are also used where possible for annual festival days, as well as being used, minimally, for ambiguous words). Removal of doctrinal comments from footnotes, explanatory notes etc., (including deletion of prophecy in favor of more useful notes - thus clearing away obstacles to your unbiased study of Scripture. Maps, Timelines, Illustrations have been added.
Never heard of it until now. Another Bible critic or critics that does not believe God? I would love to see it and compare the changes. Yea, did Go really say?
Thank you so much for this! There's also the CSB. I hope one day you do a discussion on the Septuigent and the Masoretic texts and why we rely so heavily on the Masoretict. Questions nag at me at times and this is one of them. Thanks again!
From my experience the Old King James is best for study and research because then you can verify other modern translations for comparative and analytical work, and the modern New King James is often best for reading to others.
I just was going to say what Rick Yan said. The gentleman wrote The Living Bible for his children to understand. I remember when it first came out and my children were small.
I find this discussion to be very troubling. I am only interested in what is true. I have been studying bible history for many years. Some of the things Mr. Yohn has stated are completely inaccurate. The Critical Text is not the oldest of the manuscripts. This was Westcott and Horts' concoction which they worked on in secret at Cambridge and said when it is published it will be "too late". Their Sons disowned them for what they did. This took place in the 1800's. The Textus Receptus contains the Byzantine Manuscripts which number 4,000+, these manuscripts agree perfectly together - they all say the same thing. It is these manuscripts that trace all the way back to the original scrolls of the Apostles. Only the Byzantine manuscripts were used in the translation of the King James bible; The Alexandrian manuscripts numbering approximately 116 were available to the translators but realizing that the Alexandrian were corrupt, they did not use them.
I'm KJV 100%, but I don't read anything Scofield. Most of his notes are just his idea or interpretations. I let the Holy Spirit open my eyes to what I study. It may or may not come immediately, but the understanding comes when God sees that I'm ready in my study for it. When someone becomes a new Christian, they can't be on the same level as someone whose been born again and has been studying for years. The Lord gives the understanding in due time. Thats one reason there are *newer* bibles being pumped out daily. They're trying to give their idea of meanings, trying to take the Holy Spirits place. If you don't get the difficult passages in the KJV right away, keep praying and studying, it will be revealed in Gods good timing. Most passages are understood quickly, but some, the hard ones will come in time, just don't give up, and take anyone's idea. Trust in the Lord for everything, without Him we can do nothing. God bless...
This is very helpful for my own understanding, but also to explain to others. I have never cared for the NIV because its bare bones. I love language and the depth and beauty seems removed to me. However, it is very readable and thus a great benefit to many. Thanks for this teaching and your guest, Amir.
Very poor teaching this one. Have seen many similar teachings, this is so bad it is laughable. Would have preferred them to defend one version or another, at least then you know where they stand. Not be lukewarm!
@@maximaphily601 We have to remember that God blesses us and speaks to everyone who reads any translation. I especially love Amir's question at 37:55 and Rick's answer following that. "What ever translation works for you!" I'm now old enough that I've noticed a lot of word definitions that have changed and morphed into something not originally intended. My "personal" language is rooted in the mid 1950's to the mid-70's so texts written in that time-frame speak best to me. I lack a formal "Biblical education," do not read Ancient Greek, Aramaic or Hebrew and MUST depend upon translations (... and I hope, of course, the Holy Spirit's discernment). I grew up with the KJV, then the RSV when I accepted Christ. In college, I read The Good News for Modern Man (New Testament paraphrase) and The Living Bible and then, several years after college switched to the NIV. My preferred is the 1984 edition of the NIV mostly because I attempted more memorization from it than any other so it is the most familiar when I read or listen to one today. Even the 2011 edition of the NIV triggers a reflexive caution: "that doesn't sound right, is my memory flawed or is someone misquoting the NIV?" If/when I "study" the bible, I like the parallel version that lays out the KJV, RSV, NIV and Living Bible side by side. I don't think I've ever truly "depended" upon any of the paraphrases for word for word accuracy, but have often turned to them to hear "the same thing said differently" which aids my understanding with an "ah ha" moment. Thus, I genuinely appreciate hearing Dr. Rick affirm my attempted methodology, though I'm certain I am still significantly deficient. My ultimate hope is that my Lord and Savior: Jesus Christ will soon repair my failing memory as well as renew and focus my mind and memory. I also hope and pray that He will train me to be more succinct!
I'm a 1984NIV guy. The 2011NIV is too inclusive and because of this it's grammatically incorrect at times. In a compound sentence the first clause is singular then the second is plural. Ex. James 1:14 but *each person is* tempted when *they are* dragged away by *their* own evil desire and enticed. I've memorized like 15 characters of the 1984NIV by the way.
@@JesseMgala - Yep. My comment was already too long to add the "inclusiveness" which makes the 2011 ed. seem excessively wordy (and, as you said: grammatically incorrect at times). _(as if I had a right to complain about that!!)_ Glad you said it for me! I wish I had been as successful at memorization as you. Well done!

There is also the Majority Text, based on the vast majority of readings. Its proponents point out that there are many differences between the Codex Vaticanus manuscript and the Sinaiticus, whoes texts comprise the greatest influence on the Critical Text. It appears that the Majority Text is closer to the Received Text in some ways, rather than the Critical Text. In either case, we have good Bibles to show us the truth that sets us free. The NKJV does seem to be a great upgrade to the KJV. I'll explore the World English Bible next, based on the Majority Greek Text. It is an open source translation. Some do praise its quality and readability.
You will see that in Rev 5:9 even Codex Sinaiticus says "redeemed us" of the 24 Elders (in agreement with the majority text and TR / KJV). Yet Wescott Hort and UBS (sponsored by the RC church) decided to change those words to read 100% opposite. The list is numersous. End of days stuff these modern versions.
BTW, old English is not the way they spoke in 1611, when the KJV was translated. Old English is proper English and much deeper than the slang English of today. It was chosen as God directed because it's the best form of English. Every translation from the RSV and late 1800s to today follow wescott & hort, including Jehovahs Witness and the LGBTQ+ interpretation, and all come from Alexanderain text or minority text,, yet they all contridict each other. KJV is majority text and stands alone
"Every translation from the RSV and late 1800s to today follow wescott & hort, and all come from Alexanderain text or minority text,, yet they all contridict each other." THANK YOU! Someone else who knows the truth!
@@papabear562 amen. Check this out: 2 Tim 3:16 the most famous verse for declaring the scripture is inspired by God, right? I 💯 stand on God's Word. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" Well, which scripture is the Holy Spirit referring to here? The previous verse 15: 15 "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." Which scripture did Timothy have as a child? 800 year old Isaiah original? No, Timothy had a copy of Hebrew that was copied into Greek, that is what the Holy Spirit calls scripture. A copy of a copy, that God preserved. Anyone who says 'only in the original language" is either ignorant or lazy, either way, they destroy God's Word
I believe it's Luke that NIB leaves out verse(s) where it says about the Disciples inability to cast out demons, " these come out by naught but prayer and fasting." I think it's unfortunate because fasting is important for believers.
I failed to add my favorite is the New King James. Readable but still retaining depth of language. I agree with the person who mentioned education is not what it used to be, so we need simpler translations. Everyone needs to hear and understand scriptures no matter what education level they are at.
Amir, you cut him off at 39:43 mark of video when he was finishing his answer. Where can I get the rest of his response? Thank you, and thanking the Lord for the amazing work he is doing through you. Behold Israel... praying for you and your family and praying for Israel.
1. Most modern English translations botch John 3:16 by saying "God's only son" or similar. Jesus is not "God's only son". He's God's only BEGOTTEN (human-born) son. God has myriads of other sons called "Angels". 2. Also nearly every modern English translation (except the "The Scriptures" version) misses it in Genesis 1:2 when they say "and the earth WAS without form and void". The Hebrew word in that verse means BECAME, not "was". Became is "high-ta", while Was is "high-ya". The former is used in that verse.
I understand how the Translations came about, however I did not hear this question come up; many do ask... What Author do you choose who Translated, and published the Bible. Wolvery, Tindale, Zondervan, McCarther, Scofield...? When I became a Christian, I was pretty much being forced-FED read the KNV, which turned me off from picking up the Bible to read. It's not that I did not want to read, but I had a learning disability which for years went well into my Adult life having to work hard to read and reread to understand, until I met the Zondervan NIV Translation. I did not make the deciding choice based on Zondervan, but because I walked into a Christian book store and opened each Bible to see if I could comprehend it, and I just so happened to be Zondervan. From that NIV, I was able comprehend the NKJV, because I studied them side by side. LATELY, I have purchased the MacArthur Study Bible, because one of the men of faith I am Listening to suggested the MacArthur Study Bible, and I LOVE IT. Then more Recently I purchased The Messianic Jewish Family Bible, the TLV Tree of Life Translation, and read that Side-by-Side.... So, my Question is, Who would you Recommend to someone without the struggle I have, but to a brand new believer who can understand immediately the NKJV, BUT BY WHAT AUTHOR, OR PUBLISHING HOUSE? I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE?
I respect this gentleman's opinion; however, there is a point when the Word gets watered down and loses meaning. When I was a baby Christian the Living Bible served its purpose. As I matured in my walk, I found the NKJB had greater impact for me. The Message is too contemporary. My church uses the NASB for clarity and accuracy. Read the Word and the Holy Spirit will give you a desire to read more every day. For some, they may move to a deeper understanding and desire for another stronger version.
So the blood of Christ means nothing to you? Col 1:14 KJV In whom we have redemption *through his blood,* even the forgiveness of sins. NIV In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. NASB In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
I was always led to believe that translations were made from existing “original” texts…and, of course, divinely inspired. I currently use an NIV translation, but not the newest one. Perhaps I should purchase at least one other translation…
Todah, Past Yohn & Amir. I don’t trust any translations besides the 1611 KJV. I use it alongside the Hebrew OT and Greek NT to help me. Amir thanku for this program. It explained a lot to me. My concern is that with every new translation, reading it word for word, I find the verses do not mean the same. It does not say the same thing it's a bit confusing. So I ask myself what is right. I myself have a new KJV, and that's enough for me. We pray for you and Israel God bless
In the NASB, 2 Samuel 21:19, who killed Goliath? "And there was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam." That happens in many other modern translations; ASV, CSB, ESV, ISV, WEB, as well.
Matthew 9:13 KJV: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners *to repentance.* NASB: For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners [call them to what, the next booze up?].

Shalom

Isaiah 14:12
The Vulgate translates the Hebrew word hêlēl, which means "Shining One", as Lucifer.
2 Peter 1:19
The Vulgate translates the Greek word Phosphoros, which means "Light-Bringer", as Lucifer.
@@kymdickman8910 Satan is an usurper of divine authority with demonic pagan goddess Venus claiming the same title of morning star that Jesus claims for Himself. The KVJ is the only Bible not copyrighted. All the other newer translations are. That should be enough to cause concern.
@jamesjun1258
Of course it is relevant.
@jamesjun1258
I made no claim that these men were motivated by an interest in creating revenue. The point is that they have invested their time, skills, and talents, to create a work that will benefit those who have been called out of the world to be joined to Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, His church, His kingdom. There is nothing wrong or unseemly in using copyright law to protect the fruits of their labor.
Thank you gentlemen, I watched this teaching before 🙌
Sorry for the rockets.
I was saved with the NIV. I still use it today.
Its missing verses
Amen! I love my NLT Life Application Study Bible. The commentary is so helpful. I still use NKJV and NIV as well.
@01ericak nice try. But i have done my research and you didnt.
Remember, Satan’s attack began with: “Yea, hath God said…?” I would fear about continually changing His word.

PLEASE pray for my wife & I. It is a particularly hard day today. We brought the remains of our four legged CHILD home today. I dare not look in the box which contains my child, tuft of his hair and his paw print. Now I have two of them. My wife and I are fighting the urge to immediately go out and grab another puppy. All I want o do right now is cry 😭😭😭
Hello. I know it is terrible for you both. I've gone through that many times myself. But rest assured it's going to be okay. Perhaps reading a few comforting scriptures would help. God says He is with the brokenhearted. He is with you both right now and won't leave you. Perhaps getting another puppy would be just the thing to do. Maybe God has the right one waiting that will bring joy back into your souls. Take a little time and ask the Lord to meanwhile give you direction. It's seems the darkest right now but joy comes in the morning. Praying hard for you both and sending love your way. 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤

This was a very educational podcast. Thank you.
Rubbish! Terrible
Anyone can print and sell KJB, but if you do the same to NIV or NKJV (I don't know why anyone would), you break their copyright. $$$ indeed.
I grew up with the KNV. now I use the NKJV.
Agree!
I grew up using the KJV, I have no problem with it.
I still use the King James.
Please, please note that the KJV is the ONLY translation that is numerically perfect! 🙏🙏
Brandon Peterson found that out. His results can be repeated and checked.
Don't dare mention that on any Facebook groups of post tribbers, they will ban you!
Brilliant, so interesting g to know how we got so many translations. Thank you.

May the Lord bless and protect you from evil.
Exactly, and Wescott and Hort relied on the spoiled Textus Vaticanus!

We have to remember that God blesses us and speaks to everyone who reads any translation. People are being saved through all translations because they all have the Gospel clearly presented to them.
Let’s not get so critical to think it’s only through a perfect version that God can move! I found this interview refreshing and wonderful instead of critical and exclusive… condemning those who dare to have their own favourite version.
Very interesting. I’ve always read 📕 📖 👓 the Good News version. It’s used in the Church of Scotland 🏴. Quite often the Bible reading is read by someone who has their own version which is the NIV version
The only thing that concerns me is it is written how what will happen if you add or take away from the word of God.. This is why the revival in israel is spreading to all the nations.ITS NEEDED
Even the 2011 edition of the NIV triggers a reflexive caution: "that doesn't sound right, is my memory flawed or is someone misquoting the NIV?"
If/when I "study" the bible, I like the parallel version that lays out the KJV, RSV, NIV and Living Bible side by side.
Well done!
Yes, that is the problem is it not. Whatever works for YOUR carnal flesh. Not the glory of God.

I love the TLV Bible. But even more I enjoy the You version app so I can compare multiple versions on one passage to give me a better understanding.
All the electronic versions make it so much easier to understand what God is saying
Have you checked what the Dead Sea Scrolls have to say where there is discrepancy?

2 Tim 3:16 the most famous verse for declaring the scripture is inspired by God, right? I 💯 stand on God's Word.
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
Well, which scripture is the Holy Spirit referring to here? The previous verse 15:
15
"And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
Which scripture did Timothy have as a child?

Children's Bible's are good to have for children.
Hello from Canada
SHALOM ON EARTH4EVR TY🎉
I respect this gentleman's opinion; however, there is a point when the Word gets watered down and loses meaning. When I was a baby Christian the Living Bible served its purpose. As I matured in my walk, I found the NKJB had greater impact for me. The Message is too contemporary. My church uses the NASB for clarity and accuracy. Read the Word and the Holy Spirit will give you a desire to read more every day. For some, they may move to a deeper understanding and desire for another stronger version.
NIV removed prayer and fasting in Matthew...very important part of battling spiritual warfare

Some translations print the added words in italics so the verse flows better without taking your attention off the verse to look at the reference
KJB does that. It also writes GOD the Father in all capitals, and false gods in lower case.
Unless one knows the Hebrew & Greek languages any other language is an interpretation by those who interpret the scriptures.
