OMG! I didn’t expect to make such comfortable undies in my first attempt. I really can’t believe it. Your course is amazing, so well explained and well taught. I’ve made myself a pair of period undies using bamboo towelling and pul as the gusset. Mind blowing 🤯 Thank for letting us access your content.❤
I like this idea for when my skin's being oversensitive to the texture of the elastic or the side seams. And thanks for the suggestion about ruffles, I've been contemplating putting ruffles on swimsuit bottoms but haven't thought my way to a solution yet.
I make cloth diapers, so I do enclosed elastic. I stitch right over the elastic when I sew the right sides together. It works nicely! I love how you think, and I'll be drafting my underwear soon! ❤
Wonderful tutorial❤ I like your tutorials so much especially the pattern making it is simple to follow 😊 Regarding this part, may I ask you regarding the elasticity of the bra, for example do we have to reduce the 20% based on the fabric as same as the panty? Or for the bras we don't have to deduct the -20% even if we are usig elasticity fabric to make our calculation to draft the pattern?
Since I made a bikini bottom based on underwear, there's no reason it shouldn't work the other way. Just be aware that the 4-way stretch fabric used in most swimsuits is a lot stretchier than the jersey you'll be using for undies.
Hi, I'm a seamstress and yes a coverstitch is nice to use for elastic garments and/or sewing elastic on plain fabrics. Use it with two needles and soft polyester thread on the underside. Also keep the tension on the elastic very light to avoid breaking the needles (been there done that lol)

With these instructions I could make a bikini bottom, couldn't I?

I'm new to coverstitch machines, but I'm curious: Could a coverstitch be used instead of a zigzag around the top?
