Hi I'm kinda thinking of getting this as my first ebike. I wanted a surron but not ready to spend that kinda money yet. This bike is more within by budget for now. One question I have for you. I'm 6ft tall 225 pounds. Would this bike be to small for me you think? I know your taller than me and the bike looks small when your on it. Lol
I'm glad I found you, man. I love the energy and attention to consistent detail across the board. Used your code and got the F3X for our 13 year old. Cheers!
It's about time somebody does something to their batteries! I hope this starts a trend with all companies I always customize my boring-looking batteries, awesome bike
As A Ghostcat F2.2 Pro owner, I think the F3X has great improvement for street riding. I think that the next step for Ghostcat should be a 60V battery system, some turn signals and keep the price low to compete with GOAT bikes. Question, did Ghostcat remove the horn on the F3X?
@@justanormalguy9388 I'm 5'3" adn 142 lb, so I usually pedal around 20-28 mph, just use the throttle at red lights when I have to start with a car behind (I don't have bike lanes in my country and we are allow to use bikes on the streets with cars. @@DapperCracker512 exactly! I really love it too. I just hope Ghostcat can make good improvement for the F4 if they don't want to loose market against GOAT bikes.
100%. The Goat bike have disrupted the market a bit. For the same price as this you can get a Goat with a 60v battery, 50 amp controller, turn signals, and I believe the ability to easily add a second battery. This Ghostcat is a hard sell compared to a Goat bike.
I ordered the F3 a few weeks ago with a nice discount. Couldn’t beat the price for under $2 g’s. For someone like me who likes to zip around and not sit on a bike for 2 hours this bike is the one. With its decent weight I can lift it in and out of my car being only 85lbs) it was a good choice for me. Goat was my initial choice but a lot more Money, and didn’t see myself doing 40mph on an e-bike through the streets in my area at a constant speed.
I went back and forth myself and went with the F3X for basically the same reasons you said. The speed limits here are 30mph so the Ghostcat will be more than enough. I also wanted a lighter bike to zip around. I might even get a second battery to keep at work. That way Ill always have one charged even tho I can easily do my 20 mile commute on a charge
I have been watching your channel here and there, just subscribed, enjoying your feed back on e bikes! Thank you for sharing the videos on all the ebikes!
I dont hear anyone talk about the fact that every 60v is over 100lbs and this 52v is only 85lbs. I've never rode either as I only have a 48v but I would think that would be a factor? It seems everyone wants a 60v but I would rather a lighter bike. Maybe im the dumb one 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah the 60v Wired bikes weigh over 100 pounds but they come with two batteries with 2100 watt hours of energy and a peak power of 3.2 kilowatts. The Wired bikes easily go 40+ mph and are only $2000. Plus, you can pedal them and you don’t look like a clown on a kids toy motorcycle.
From my exp I have to go for the bigger bike as a bigger guy. All the heavier bikes have WAY better traction. I get great traction on lighter bikes, but again, I'm a heavy dude. So, I ended up on the WALLKE H9 AWD and I rip all around Chicago on that thing since February. Swapped the tires because they ship with razer thin trash ones. Recently, WALKKE subtly changed up the h9s battery to Tesla cells so it's a lower pack for shorter riders. They made the front motor 1000Watt to match the back (my version has 750W front, still rips. Torquey af). So, if i can find a spot to keep it.. I'll probably try their new h9 setup soon.
I have a 72v fat bike that weighs 75lbs. It’s mid drive. Bigger battery, bigger motor will equate to heavier bike. Some manufacturers use real motorcycles parts (lyric graffiti x) their bike is a 60v 40ah that weighs 120lbs.
I rode the F3 at electrify expo.. yes torqee and bouncy but it’s not for taller riders if you plan on pedaling. I’m 6’2 and my knee were hitting my elbows. Perfect size for my son at 5’4. nice review per usual 👍🏼
24:44 "you know what? because they can." Always my point exactly. One of the barriers for switching to renewable energy is the 1000% mark up put on things in developed countries.
I'm conflicted between the Ghostcat F3 vs the Billy Goat V3. Geared hub vs Direct drive. 52V vs 60V+. Single battery vs Optional Dual battery. 35+mph vs 41mph. Price of the standard F3 is $2100 or F3X $2500 vs Billy Goat $2500. The only reason I'd get the Billy Goat is the optional second battery.
same here, i was torn between the revv1 and the billy goat v3 for a awhile, and now this bike seems like just as worthy of a competitor. I dont really see me utilizing the extra speed on the billy goat when mostly preferring to cruse below 40mph, but i think the second battery option is what wins me over.
i got ghostcat because the look, suspension and the customer service. goat took over 2 weeks to respond to my inquiry. i had a whole back and forth conversation with ghostcat customer service . BOTH are great commuters. I personally am getting one for commuting in DC. GOAT Bikes got the turn signals in front and back. pretty good lighting both sides. if you mess with the settings of the GOAT bikes you can get the torque to be even more than that of ghostcat. That said roads here are rough and so the suspension on the Ghostcat was a great selling point. I prefer the dirtbike look over the motorcycle road bike look. I wish ghostcat would provide fenders like GOAT bikes have as a choice. That said I personally cant wait for my f3x. Customer service was amazing and Ive been aching to ride past traffic and stop driving my car too work lol
I had all the same thoughts and pulled the trigger on a F3X. I dont need 40+. I want a light, nimble bike and my commute is 20-30 miles depending which way I go. I already do that with 48v no problem. I feel I made the right choice
I don't like spokes on my emoped but with this one I might change my mind..love the power and most of all that seat looks comfortable for real..kinda pricey but from this review it's worth it..
Nice, but I'm still going with and saving up for the Billy Goat. Maybe this or that Meelod you recently reviewed 2nd. But that Meelod would be tits if it were 60v with the battery were like 35Ah or big enough to fill the space its mounted in
Ive been stuck between the same 2 bikes myself. Im leaning towards the Ghostcat for the weight and mobility. I don't really want a 110lb bike right now
I'm torn as well...Between this one and the Billygoat... Now I'm leaning more to this one...unless a new V4 Billygoat arrives on scene before end of month
@@rickymahoney6664honestly the weight is such a huge benefit of this one. My ride1up rift is the sameish weight and with how long and tall it is… it’s cumbersome to a degree that’s annoying. But still a great actually legal(read: not cop magnet) e bike for cruising to the bar or to a friends house with some food, great ride for cargo. But holy cow if I can’t imagine how annoying a bike that’s 110+ pounds must be. Just getting it into a bike rack has to be a huge hassle let alone carrying it upstairs.
Solid review Matt, got to test ride the lower version at my local bike shop this afternoon and you were not kidding, that xofo 1500 watt motor is peppy and at 85 lbs with the battery, makes this bike super responsive and nimble. Finally pulled the trigger this afternoon to get me the FX after deliberating for a couple of weeks. $2517 With your code and the Black Friday special and sales tax, can’t wait to get my shipment.
A 60v system would be a good upgrade, but I think this system is fine. If anything, they should just get a custom motor that puts out a little more power and add an option of a second battery to hang below the main one like the Raev bikes. An extra 10ah battery would not be much weight, but it would add a decent amount of range. That with the already stock Tapia seats would make this bike dang near perfect. I would love to have a Tapia seat on my Motor Goat v3 with the dual batteries, and im not doing 45mph barely ever. I'm usually cruising around 38mph anyway. I just like having that extra power on tap if I need it.

I’m only 5 feet tall but man that right is so nice. I wish they made the same one but just for smaller people that are shorter than 51 cause that would be the perfect ride for me. I live in Indiana and I’ve been trying to save my money to get one of these rides because I have work and it’s not too far away but I kind of have my beginner E bike that’s not under power. I don’t wanna go 20 miles an hour and that’s with total assist the original throttle so if I can get one of those rides, but in my size so that I don’t have to pedal as much and I could just throttle more than peddling I would love that if you know of any E bikes that are like the one in this video but in a smaller size that goes 35 to 45 MPH let me know if you find one again my name is Erin Lane and I’m only 5 feet tall. I enjoy watching your videos. Keep them coming they’re fun and they get me continuing to dream so that when I do have enough money to buy hopefully one of those rides I don’t have to worry about saving up any money and I am working my ass off to save up my first true E bike that goes faster than 34 miles an hour
im really not sure if i want this bike or the revv1 DRT which looks amazing.....which one would yall get? the suspension is great on the DRT as well though and both are 52v 20 amp batteries.
Been looking for a e-bike that can keep up with traffic in my town. I used the G-ForceZM but tbh I've been disappointed with the purchase as far as durability of the handle bars(fell one time without the kickstand and the brake levers bent) and overall speed and range This is a similar price to the GForce as well and honestly it looks amazing. Would like some insights from people on if this is a good upgrade.
I'll be interested to see his review on the E cells camouflage bike that was sitting in his apartment during this review previously he reviewed an he sells five star thought it was the best bike he ever written.
Love the detailed video, would you prefer the revv1 or the ghostcat f3x? I am kindof worried about the height cuz I see people saying that the ghostcat is a bit smaller
I swear, every time I see you pick up a bike to run the wheel in your apartment, I'm half expecting you to drop it and watch the bike fly across the room!
Just got mine. I love it. I have nothing to compare it to ‘cuz it’s my first e-bike to own or even ride, but I used to have a little gas pit bike a while back and the feel reminds me of that. It’s awesome. My only question is…. in the advanced settings there’s an option to change the wheel size and the default is 26”, so if this bike has 20” wheels do I have to change that to get accurate mileage and speed reading or do the tires make it 26”? Probably a dumb question but 🤷♂️
great review! I would like to purchase a Ghostcat-f3x with that exact seat, but seams like all they have are a little bit shorter seats on all there bikes. did that one come with the bike or was it ordered separately? Thank you, E. Cain
Been wanting to pick up an e-bike, but my area has a lot of bike thefts, I obviously won’t leave it outside at home but if I’m taking it out somewhere and have to go inside, what kind of security protection do you have in place for this to prevent it getting stolen?
How would you compare the F3x with the Billy Goat V3? Granted the Billy Goat has more power and is faster for the same money but I've heard that the Build Quality, after sale support and off road performance isn't as good on the goat? Also wanted to add that I'm 5'10" with a 31" inseam and 220# so looking to find a bike that fits without having the opportunity to ride them first is tough
F3X has better suspensions and weighs less. Billy goat is faster, heavier, and less capable suspension for off road terrains so you’re mostly going on pavement roads. It depends on your riding style and needs but if you do plan on going long range rides goat is better, while ghostcat is good for mid-range commutes and light off road.
I notice you dont have the front brake line ziptied to the front. Did you find that helped keep brake line from getting scraped by the rims of the front wheel? Ive been having issues with front suspension bringing brake line down too much and then causes it to hit rims.
Can someone help explain the philosophy/use case differences between a pedal ebike like this and something like the non-pedal Surron types? Appreciate it and thanks for the video.
For the price, could you say between the Goat Power V3 or this GhostCat F3X, which one would you prefer/ maybe edges out the other? Thanks for your videos, always done well.

❤ Dude! I just recommended that they send you one on instagram just yesterday! 😊
im really not sure if i want this bike or the revv1 DRT which looks amazing.....which one would yall get? the suspension is great on the DRT as well though and both are 52v 20 amp batteries.
great reviews as always! what speedometer app are you using ?
Been looking for a e-bike that can keep up with traffic in my town.
I used the G-ForceZM but tbh I've been disappointed with the purchase as far as durability of the handle bars(fell one time without the kickstand and the brake levers bent) and overall speed and range
This is a similar price to the GForce as well and honestly it looks amazing. Would like some insights from people on if this is a good upgrade.
I have an Amyet G60 and just bought a F3X. Im hoping for a good upgrade
@rickymahoney6664 from what I've seen it looks good but idk if people are just being payed to make it so etc
To anyone curious, I had tracking info the next day. I can't wait!
Do they ship to the UK?
Yes they do, for 350$.
The site clearly says they do and show the prices like mentioned
Maz psi on fork will be on them with weight to air ratio normally they don't exceed 140psi
The best suspension I have seen. Now put nobbies on it with two motors and boost the volts up to 60 for off road desert riding. 🙂
Then you might as well buy a Suron
There's already bikes fitting that description you can buy. Don't think they're this one though.
Nice seeing Kojak again 24mins 😂
I'll be interested to see his review on the E cells camouflage bike that was sitting in his apartment during this review previously he reviewed an he sells five star thought it was the best bike he ever written.
I'm 150 lbs, so this is in my sweet spot.
Used to think ebikes were junk, but if your a bit younger and cant afford a car or motorcycle there perfect. Even the cheap ones are good
Can't lie all ebikes are if you take care of them. Started with a 36v and now I rock a 72v monster billy goat ebike!
Why do you have to be younger? I'm 51 and ripping around town on e-bikes.
I always get asked if I ride mine because of a DUI. It's just a blast to ride in City traffic and cheaper than putting gas in a car
Im 43 and Ive rode to work all summer. I ride 30 miles a day. I have a perfectly fine Acura and Civic in my driveway. I still take the bike
Bad boy you went through a stop sign.
Love the detailed video, would you prefer the revv1 or the ghostcat f3x? I am kindof worried about the height cuz I see people saying that the ghostcat is a bit smaller
E-bikes are slow and have pedals
This is an awesome E-motorcycle!
I found my new e-bike, im gonna sell my other one and buy this one.
I swear, every time I see you pick up a bike to run the wheel in your apartment, I'm half expecting you to drop it and watch the bike fly across the room!
Hello, I’m wondering if it’s possible to replace the tires on this with the Vee E-Huntsman tires? Thank you and I appreciate your reviews.
Ehh prefer the look of the revv1 but it's still coool
Yep Rev1 is a nicer looking bike but people at Ride 1 up refuse t o give it some power. So that leads me here
With the bumpy roads in the area I live in, I want the largest diameter wheels... these 20" wheels are just too small for ride comfort on bumpy roads.
Probably a dumb question but 🤷♂️
that seat is sick but of course it's $300 extra 🙄
Power Goat Motors. MOTORGOAT V3 ⚡️🐐💪
great review! I would like to purchase a Ghostcat-f3x with that exact seat, but seams like all they have are a little bit shorter seats on all there bikes. did that one come with the bike or was it ordered separately? Thank you, E. Cain
Which one has the better suspension for off-road? This or the Rundeer attack 10?
definitely this one
Would you recommend this over the Rundeer 10 (for off-road)? Mainly suspension wise I know this has better power.
This is better
Basically a moped style surron. If this was 60v it’ll take over the market.
Really need longer range bikes.
GhostCat F3X vs A8 Pro Max 52V Dual Motor. Which do you prefer and why? Which bike is provides a more comfortable ride?
Ghostcat for comfort and reliability
Thank you.
Love your channel and energy in your reviews. Appreciate you.
Can I put pegs on it or just pegals
How much mileage on full throttle
Hey Matt,
would you mind testing the ShockWiz Device on some bikes to improve the suspension?
Cheers
Between this and the Billy Goat V3 which one is the best bike for the money. I do want front and back fenders also.
Front fender of F3X will be presented for GhostCat F3X
Sit on this thang ,don’t worry I got that reference 💧
Is it better than my P51 🤔
Been wanting to pick up an e-bike, but my area has a lot of bike thefts, I obviously won’t leave it outside at home but if I’m taking it out somewhere and have to go inside, what kind of security protection do you have in place for this to prevent it getting stolen?
do you have the link for the tires for the sand you were talking about
How would you compare the F3x with the Billy Goat V3?
One big one is cops enforcement of one vs the other
@@TailHappyTV That helps, thanks.
For the price, could you say between the Goat Power V3 or this GhostCat F3X, which one would you prefer/ maybe edges out the other? Thanks for your videos, always done well.

You got to get a bigniu bgx trust me I mean your tall but it’s a beautiful bike 40 mph stock
19:26 nobody else saw bro spawn in😭
I live in the mountains..a lot of distance between the villages and the city..what would you advise me?? Cold and hot area in the summer
Dual motor for hills
You’ve ridden both the f2/f3 and the f3x. Is it worth the extra money for the front suspension?
Great review. What app do you use on your phone, please?
I use Zillow, Reddit, gmail… 😜 but I think the ones you want to know about are Strava and Speedometer
Yes, which speedo app
does the f3 come with the color display too??
Yes
@TailHappyTV thanks appreciate it
Please review the Freesky Swift Horse! Thanks.
Can you show and explain what the advances settings do. Instructions don’t seem clear enough to what each action does in the advanced settings.
At that price tho I'd probably just get the Rawr Mantis
I agree if I thought I could ride it here without being stopped but I really doubt it. I get enough looks on what I have now which is just a 48v moped style. (Amyet G60)
@@rickymahoney6664 i have the ridstar q20 for now. Also has pedals. Im in a pretty rural area (town of 9k) and cops arent that prevalent. Thinking about the Rawr real hard
Isn’t the Mantis like 5k?
@@brandons772 nah its under 3k. Eride pro ss, talaria, surron...all over 5k.
I agree this thing is garbage.
I have the same cellphone bag
16:42 is driving thru peoples head are normal up there ? 🤔
