Hey David, I am from Pune and I live in California. I haven't visited Pune since February 2020 because of the pandemic. It feels nostalgic to see these videos especially when you are not able to visit parents and when you miss food. I'm bummed you did not like the Bakarwadi (its my favorite). Also good job on the pronunciations, those were bang on especially when you say Pune. In case you come to California (especially to Northern California - San Francisco Bay area) I would love to take you to the Indian restaurants here :-)

They pour the chai from one cup to the other sometimes to cool it down if it's too hot, that's what he's doing when he pours it over the tandoori cup (to give it the smokey tandoori flavor from the clay of the heated cup)... so I think he meant that it cools it slightly from how hot it's usually served but it's still hot. Good to see you back in India!

Okay 1st thing you went for things to try in pune with a person from mumbai that's really really sad... i mean instead of parvati he could have taken you to taljai which is soo soo beautiful and green..and exactly behind parwati...hill...2nd thing its small small details he missed like when you guys got down from the hill exactly behind you was NIRA a refreshing summer drink... which is 10rs per glass...he should have made you try that...instead of regular coconut water...and tandoori chai he really should have taken efforts to take you to the original place...!
And i would be exploding with anger if i hadn't seen you try misal and other things... in pune just cause i know you have tried...other things as well i am a little better... its my hometown... and i am your regular viewer ..... also a huge fan... its really heart breaking when there are no right people to guide you around the city
