Davidsbeenhere You will be surprised to hear that this restaurant, Garden Wada Pav was shut down by the FDA for making food in unhygienic conditions. They were operating without a license.
This food tour is freaking EPIC, my man! Just incredible, dude. I've actually had sugarcane juice before and I loved it. It's so cool to see you visit old forts around India like Shaniwar Wada and share what you learned with the rest of us. I'm such a history buff and I love that you mix historical sites in with your food tours. It really sets you apart from so many other vloggers! I'm fascinated by the palm reading you got. I hope everything he said to you comes true! You deserve it all, my friend. The masala chai sounds delicious. I really like regular chai, so I'm sure I'd lose my mind over the kinds you tried on your trip. I can't get over how gorgeous Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple is. What a beautiful place. The architecture is stunning and I love the carvings on the outside walls. I think this Vada Pav looks even more delicious than the one you tried on your first India trip! You're a brave man for downing that pepper like a boss...and "Mind ya business, dude" had me dying laughing. 🤣 And I love anything made with mango so that mastani at the end looks like heaven! Bravo on one of your most epic food tours yet, man. The amount of time, work, and effort that went into it is apparent and your love for India is infectious. All of that combined is what makes your videos such a joy to watch. I loved every moment!
The alleys around fort you saw are named after days of week somwar( monday) peth, mangalwar(tuesday) peth & so on where you have different markets like cloths, utensils, etc which have their own alleys each ally will have its own commodity not exclusively but 90% shops in that alley will have things related to that particular trade.
Lovely..! I being an Indian, have eaten on streets only twice. Once I had toast sandwich and second time I had Ragada Puri it is like pani puri. I got severe infection after eating that. henceforth I never ate on the streets. we cook everything at home or we eat in a very very good restaurant. U are gutsy David as u eat so much Indian street food.

yes he is making lot of mistakes.. he need to improve. is he indian or not? he uses word like they, indians etc. i will give him benefit of doubt assuming he is doing this first time.
Honestly David, I have lived in Pune for most of my life and have never seen a buffalo walking down the road. Pune is generally very green and clean as compared to other Metropolis of India. The guide though, umm, he is comparing everything with Western Foods, like Vada Pav is so damn old, Indians have been eating it since always even before they knew what Burger was. You should see other good places in Pune like Koregaon Park where there are many Continental restaurants, Pimple Saudagar, Wakad, Hinjewadi. These are Western Pune areas and are way too different than what you saw in old Pune. It is a beautiful city and used to be a cyclist capital of India until the IT Industry boom happened since 2005. Another thing the guide wrongly pointed is Elephant God, he is NOT that. The mouse that is generally near Lord Ganesha is his best friend and it is believed that if you whisper you wishes into his years, he will then send it over to Lord Ganesha. You really should get someone who has been born and brought up in Pune other than this guide, he is ruining the culture and history of this great city and state.
Garden vadapao is always amazing. It was on my list to for this vacation. You came close enough to my house when u visited sujata. You should have gone to the original Sujata icecream to get the most fresh icecream coming out from their machine. The one you went is just one of the delear who stocks Icecream for few weeks so it looses it's texture. More over Sujata original branch was closed for renovations till last week so I think this delear might have ordered one month of Icecream stock. Go to their original shop, you will definitely find a huge difference in Icecream texture. Try Sujata Icecream from their main shop and go for Kalash Kulfi outside central station
