Thanks a lot.
Its a pretty collector knife, and with acknowledging that fact. Its a win. I have plenty of user knives, so I could add this to my collection and love it for what it is.
That’s fair.
I love it as a user. Soooo thin and slicey! One of my (if not my most) used knives!
I've never had one. I'd like to check one out someday. Great video 👍
BM! Hah that blasted screw!!!!
Definitely a wildly different finished product vs a stock Bugout, I thought the Zirc scales and super slicey blade would win you over and perhaps finally find a bugout ud be into, hah but no such luck.
Best part of your reviews are your candor and authenticity. They (knives) cant all be winners.
Also side note: buyers are generally way better served buying a custom knife over modding a production one.
Your money will go way further and youll have a much better resale.
This particular project was a labor of love to try to upgrade/mod a particular gift knife and get it up to the custom knife level.
BM - my dad loves his bugout. They’re good knives, just a little vanilla for me. If you ever do a pm2 I could see it with matte black zirc scales to match that light.
Yeeeessss
PM2s are freaking awesome! Menton does offer his Zirc Scales in a matte finish.
@@elgato3535 ahhhh welll hmmmmm
Agree 100%. Bought a spyderco native 5 in Rex 45 for $115. And it’s a better made knife with better qc
Spyderco does great work!
BM Zirc scales makes it a bit heavy. The Bugout and any other similar knives have a spot for the slim lightweight knife category. I can see why. I still like that reblade.🤤
Definitely a winner in my book!
Actually I love my Bugout...I think it's a great EDC knife but I also think its biggest downfall is that it's made by Benchmade, because if it was made by any other knife company by now there would be a liner lock version and a frame lock version and button lock version and titanium scale version and micarta version and not only version with Benchmade patented locking mechanism and basic handle materials!
In my mind that is the problem with almost all BM knives
Good point.
Yeah fortunately there is a robust aftermarket for Bugout parts. Unfortunately alot of the time they dont necessarily all / each work seamlessly together.
Axis Lock patent ran out long ago
Meton boss they’re located in Atwood ca
Ahh not far from me.
Nice!
BM
Nice ascetics i think. But i am a girl lol. Thanks for sharing! 😺⚔️👍🏻
Definitely a personal preference thing but I absolutely LOVE this knife aesthetically too!
Dirk doesn't give a flying fuck about your feelings...
Sometimes yes sometimes no lol
Hahaha he tells it like it is!
Bugout is only tolerable with metal scales.
Agreed
Truth
Meh, CF scales are where it’s at. Gives the strength of metal and the weight of FRN.
BM
Bugout=meh. But this one lost me immediately because of a different reason. A hole as an opening mechanism is a no-go for me every time. Every. Single. Time.
Holes > studs!!!! 😂
MEH 😂
