Thanks for the video! Replacement was a breeze. Seems like the filter broke off and my solenoid was stuck in the half open position. After replacing, my engine would accelerate at much lower rpms and generally seems healthier.
Hi, so I changed both intake and exhaust selonoid as well as the camshaft timing sensor and I am still getting the p0014 code. Any ideas as to what I should look at next? Thank you
Change your oil. Continue changing your oil frequently. More frequently than normal. Use high mileage oil. It has oil detergents in it yo help remove sludge. If problem persists it is either the wiring harness, the cam, or the timing chain has jumped and that is the worst case scenario because it can cause internal engine damage.
I have the code p0013-14 on my Buick 2013 lacrosse. My car is also rattling in timing belt. But only those codes are popping up as well as check engine light. If I change the parts to fix codes will the rattling stop? Or is it an indicator that my timing belt is bad? And that need to be fixed

Can this solenoid be the problem of catalytic sensor and speed sensor? That's what Mine has. And I've done all kind of stuff to clear the cat code but no luck

2013 equinox - won't start at all. Vvt solenoids replaced spark plugs, ign coils, and TCV...... still nothing. It did run super rough and now nothing. Starter just whines and nothing. Fuel is good and pump is dead on 60.... wtf is going on with this car? 😐

Intake is the one near the firewall...exhaust is the one near the front of the vehicle!

I have a 2009 g6 .2.4 ecotec. Starts then immediately dies , if I unplug the intake cam position sensor it will start and run.

But?, any time you erase codes on scanner there will always be no codes? now you must drive a vehicle to see if the codes return.

it's never ever the solinoids, this is a timing chain code, $1800 repair.

No it's not! Simply unplug, unbolt, slide it out...reverse for install. Any idiot could do it. 😉
