Love Heidi peppy personality! Can't wait to do the Allegheny Trail, already did the C&O from DC to Cumberland, what do you recommend for bikecamping as this will be my first!
Awesome video! You must have done the GAP/C&O right before me and my friends in August. Really cool to see it from another perspective. Thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed your trip and your quirky personalities! Keeping it real! Thank you for sharing! Bucket list for sure! I’ll be checking out your other videos! Peace and blessings!
Your journeys seem like a vacation you stop and smell the roses. Biking as far as you do might seem like work but your pedal pace seems easy going. I never see any flat tires tho. Maybe that’s good!
We live our lives out loud !!! It is such a joy seeing the country by Cycle! So far, so good on flats so fortunate. We used Continental and Schwalbe tires, no issues, no added stress there ! Thanks for the comment.
I'm super stoked I found you guys! I'm 53 and just started riding BMX this past year (2023) and have also gotten into riding rail trails. I've been trying to convince my husband that we should ride the Allegheny Passage and C & O Canal Towpath and your video got him interested in the ride. You made it look super fun!
I've done Pittsburgh to DC ride! It's great. Thinking of doing the Katy but it looks a bit boring. I watch your Katy vid and your video was great but the trail itself....not sure.
OMG! We run into some guy that had a broken chain about the same miles in. We fix his chain. I had an emergency chain repair link. He told us trail magic would follow us though out our trip,
We did this one last year in June, before the Katy Trail. I struggled in some areas ( Meyersdale up to the Eastern Continental Divide), but overall it was the best trip we have had. Spoiled us for Buffalo to Pittsburgh this year LOL)
Most definalty love the Katy trail. We just got back a few weeks from there it was a wonderful experience. O, I bet that's a climb, I love the biker friendly towns along the way, very accommodating. The whole ride from Pittsburgh to DC had a lot to offer and would definalty do it again.
@@ReimaginedAdventures we would definitely ride it again too, but I think I would skip the section from White’s ferry to DC. We ended up rolling through on a Sunday, which was Father’s Day, and Juneteenth and the trail was just so congested with bikers and walkers and tourists.
Can I ask what kind of shoes you are wearing and about your raincoats? Looking for shoes that work for bicycling and not worrying about getting wet. Also, do you have a seat you recommend for riding that long in a day? Loved your video! @ReimaginedAdventures
Nothing crazy on shoes. We wear sandals sometimes, converse any flat sole shoe works good for us. We got some hand me down rain coats from a friend they are frog I belive you can pick that up at a local Walmart. As for seats, we did send some money on those and got the brooks Saddle b17 that have been amazing for us and become more comfortable. The more we ride with them, they seem to hold up well. Thanks for the comment !!
We have encountered a few flats along the way. Luckily, they have been on short rides. We run Marathon tour tires, and they claim to be puncture resistant.
Yeah that have really good to us. No I issues in 8,000 Miles we have them serviced every year and they are tuff bikes. Deffinalty not light or fast but after we put all are gear on the ride very comfortably and roll very safely so that what are goal was . Yeah I think they only make the dist trucker now to, I'm think these were the last year for rim brakes
th-cam.com/video/hZCw0gcn2r0/w-d-xo.html Im sure you 2 have seen this if not its a treat! I cant believe how far you'll rode the second day! Ive rode most of the Allegany pass. This video is so wonderful!
Wow, now that's some early video crazy the way it looked and how they used it. Yeah, the second day was a haul ! Isn't it a great trail, another one we would definalty do again.

@BMad-we6qf not able to this year😭 it is on the trips to make tho. Have you been before?
@@ReimaginedAdventures I have not, this will be my first, but my partner in crime went last year. He had a great time.
Very nice video. What happened to the scene of Heidi falling into the ravine?
O man ! Of course, the camera was off. It was quite the scare.
I would of eaten at the many restaurants in Ohiopyle , before I have an MRE
Yes, lots of options!!

Congratulations, were are you from?
Pennsylvania!!
Courious do you run your tires with Tannus flat prevention inserts? On your long days I’d hate to get a flat

@@ReimaginedAdventures I love marathons
How do you like your Surly’s? Do you notice the weight? Wish they would make the smaller frame sizes with 700c wheels.

Could a mountain bike tour without mountain biking lol .?
Of course it's all about the adventure!!
Might as well not be wearing a helmet if you've got it that loose.
Yup
