Awesome that you mention the industrial heartland trail system. The peck rd end of the portage hike and bike. Maybe where the trail will be extended to reach warren ohio and the great lake to erie greenway.

I think drilling and bolting would be a better solution, rather than deck screws. Wish they would have made it with bench mount (clamp base.)

I have a 2010 (I think?) Disk Trucker I got secondhand after a car twisted my 35 year old Raleigh Randonneur into scrap. I don't know how it differs from the LHT but it's a great bike. I just wish it had more clearance for fatter tires.

Guaranteed ,in winter, a small amount of rain as the temperature approaches freezing will turn that cobblestone street into a sheet of ice that even salt trucks would find kit almost impossible to climb. I wouldn't want to be a mailman on that street.

You guys were right in my backyard for this one! I've never been that far north on the trail though. Been a weird summer for cycling for me in a way. A lot of the cycling channels I watch don't seem to be posting as much as in summer 2023-wonder why. I guess we all have busy lives don't we?

Without doing extensive research I know El Paso Florentino street in Mexico City has a total incline of almost 45 degrees. It is most definitely steeper than Canton Ave, and yes Mexico is in America. On a recent trip to Cusco, Peru I could swear some streets were even steeper, but then again I'm getting old.

That height was crazy as hell

Love the sound of a 2 stroke on pipe, always followed by the strange thumping sound.

The trick is to zig-zag across the entire road width until the top. It makes the climb much longer but at a much more gradual incline.

I'm building a touring bike (we'll two actually, I have a wife) from a Surly Disc Trucker frame, and I would be very interested in what you use for you gear (Panniers, Racks, Bags etc.).
