Got a 1987 Chevrolet Cavalier Z-24 that my wife bought brand new. Just gave it a new paint job. Everything is 100% original. No after market junk on this car at all. 185,000 original miles. Every day runner
Had once owned a '87 Z24 with the air induction hood 2.8 automatic. White exterior blue cloth interior. Through on a turbo muffler to give the V6 some deep rumble when stepping on the throttle. Did add a power chip to the computer plus went with a cooler thermostat that was recommended. That definitely woke it up. Bought it used back in '91/'92. Kept the bowtie for about four years as a daily driver. Now after all those years, still wish I had had it back! Would've been a good car to drive to shows or cruiseins.

@@wesv6037 A few years ago I drove my 93 Z24 passed a couple kids and they were like "ooooh five point... oh nevermind". I always thought they looked more like the bimmers of their time.

@@JesusSaves86AB hell yeah bro mine was owned by this old lady and bought by these two old brother, they bought it for their dad, the dad ended up passing mid restoration and one of the brother passed as well, so the remaining brother sold it to me, all the emblems were replaced with modern RS ones so it’s REALLY unidentifiable 😂 but they restored it to about 85%
if i had big money, my whole fleet would look like this, 93 maxima, a 99, early 90s grand prix, i love seeing cars like this on the road with over saturated crossovers

Not sure I like the lime green carpeting, or is that extremely bright lime LED lighting? Still, it doesn't work with the "theme" of the car? Beautiful example of a classic Z24. That would look good in my garage next to my time capsule unmolested 1984 300ZX Turbo w/7,000 orig miles.
I went to school with a girl in 2004 or 2005 before I graduated that had a z24 or whatever z designation it was at the time that was this body style with the 2.8 V6 was a neat car. I wonder how they compared in performance to the 2.8 Camaros from the same era. My friend Daniel had an 87 Camaro with the 2.8 we thought was hot stuff at 13 years old not realizing what a low powered engine it was or not knowing that it was a V6 until we got a few years older. It has a rusted out muffler and sounded neat to us at that age. I honestly feel like the cavvy could have taken the Camaro or maybe they are around the same weight?
My brother had this exact same car, digital dashboard as well. Had to replace it twice. A little under powered too with the 2.8L. Nice car besides that.
I had a 86 cavalier rs 2.8l v6 convertible (white).. my very first car.. in 98-99 . I just had it partiallyrestored> brand newcanvas top, new exhaust.. i had the originalrims re painted chrome & center gold..but. i had head on collision as someone pulled out on me. I miss the car.. it was already rare then.. i can't imagine what the value would be today in mint. Maybe less than 50 ?

sleeper, long-overlooked now most used up and crushed. 5 Sp with V6 definitely a nice setup.

It’s actually all gray carpeting. I have LED lights to match the green digital dash.
Im wondering if a 3800 turbo V6 could fit. That's usually what they'd put in the Fieros instead of its 2.8 V6
