Very good work! Every time you make a spot weld grain the crown halfway and then 50% overlap. That is the best way to get good penetration and less holes

I remember my father and I restoring my 1970 bug back in the early 90's. Nothing on this scale. We thought a couple of rear bumper brackets and a front valance was a big enough job. What you are doing here is way beyond the next level. We did not have the room to do a body off pan job although I would love to have done that. Love watching what you do. Can't wait to see the end result. Keep up the good work.

Awesome stuff man, I enjoy watching you get her done! If I may advise that there's a product Rustoleum sells at the Depot called "rust reform" that catalyzes the rust from growing that you could use in place of the brown stuff. It's a black acid primer that converts it to a "paintable" surface.. Thanks for providing us with your videos bro man!

Great job, it is a pity you are not going to show your wonderful job on the top back or continuation of the welding repair done previously. You do a great job, why not show us newbies like me, how to follow your every step. I am very interested in these steps you are taking . Mainly when you start fixing the surrounding areas where the rear window and windshield metal are badly rusted. Where the glasses rest and surrounding areas that touch the rear and windshield glass. Hope I am making myself understood, I am sorry, but I guess you know what I am talking about. I been watching since you started this project and I just cannot get enough. Keep up the great job!

I'm not a welder myself but one recommendation I've read time and again is to keep a tiny gap between the panels for a butt weld, e.g. by running a 1 mm slitting disc between the parts after you've tacked them together at each end. That way the weld ends up between the two pieces instead of on top.
