Good morning, video very precise, useful, thank you. I own a 1999 Honda EJ9 Civic VI and I would like to do the conversion, but I don't know where to buy this kit because I'm in Italy. I wanted to ask where can I buy the kit and how high is the adapter plate from the base. Thank you.
Damn you made money on this install thats amazing! Seriously though good detailed video - you wanna come to my house and install the brakes for the mustang?
I just did my conversion last weekend on my '95 coupe. I bought complete rear disc trailing arm assemblies with brakes, lines and cables for $280 on ebay. I replaced the main trailing arm bushing and rotors/pads but I had everything I needed to get the job done
@@ArthurSperotto that doesn't surprise me at all. I'm actually looking for a new shell now to swap all my upgraded suspension, including aforementioned rear disc conversion as well as my JDM H22A swap. Sadly on August 30, 2021 (December 15, 2021 at the time of this reply) I lost control at 55 mph in a fairly sharp curve just outside my hometown, it was bright sunny and dry but what had happened was I had picked up a large screw in my right rear tire; When I took the hard left and the weight shifted right I right away felt it squat too far and It felt to me thinking back back now the wheel rim touched the road due to very low psi. This made me start to fish tail, I tried to regain control but kept slightly over correcting and finally it jerked so hard it ripped the wheel out of my hands. I went across the road started up the hill but this turned into a roll, and halfway into the second roll, while upside down slammed into a tree. I had forgotten my seatbelt leaving the gas station, I broke my back, 2 vertebral compression fractures, just got out of my turtle shell brace a couple weeks back But that day my project car of 12 years died, it hurts just as bad as my back still does. Hopefully I can find another EJ1 / 2 somewhere nearby.
Hey Brother, just watched you video, question what kind of disc and calipers did you use? And also what kind of brakes lines and e brake cable did you purchase? Thanks
Im kinda curious.. aren't the callipers and brake rotors the same from an acura integra... wont be eazy just to buy the brackets for the callipers and go get some cheap parts at the junk yard i mean imvesting 300 in stopping on a slow car .. dont feel like worth it that much

The wear indicator should be at the bottom not the top when installing the inner brake pads, and you forgot to inform on changing the proportional valve, the stock one won't be ok to use, should switch to a 40/40 prop valve
I have civic 97 dx coupe, i bought integra rear arms but i don't what rear line brakes i need to buy, the arms have the e brake cable already but my car is not abs
ThatCivicKid thanks for the video, I'm probably going to do both front and rear. Front so i can have a bigger rotor to stop with, I'm just wondering if the Spoon caliper will fit if i ever want to upgrade to it in the future.
What caliper, e-brake cable, and rotor should I be running with this conversion setup bro.. I got a 99 Honda Civic hx right now and wanna try this method out
I have a serious question man, if possible for you to answer.. Anyways, I have a 98' Civic CX HB & I live in the mountains of Northern New Mexico. It's a daily driver for me, but just recently I was going home in a canyon on a rainy night and hit a rock on passenger side, bending out my rear passenger trailing arm. Any ideas/help on how I can rebend that piece back, it's about an inch bent out. Thanks Tyler (BYBH)
@@backyardbuilthondas1284 Thanks Man, exactly what I was thinking, just needed more of a Honda guy like you for advice. Gonna try it now, maybe I'll get a come-along and slowly tighten to bend back as I heat it..

If I get the SI rear brake lines with SI rear rotors and calibers and brackets will it be a direct bolt on please help bro
Nice job on conversion bro. I was just watching how you jacked up car. I don't see jack stands and your legs are under the frame a bit. Be careful. Safety first!

Lo sto cercando anch'io per la stessa identica auto, l'hai trovato per caso?
Nice job.. Could've used teggy disc brakes for the conversion, there everywhere, Offerup, Craigslist etc etc.. But great job.

you should swap the inner pads so that the indicator is on the bottom.
Hi ! Do you have the référence for the Brake caliper support ,
where do i get the platen for the conversation?
Did you have to change out the trailer arms ?

This is probably a dumb question but rotors & calipers are for si's rear disc ?
The wear indicator should be at the bottom not the top when installing the inner brake pads, and you forgot to inform on changing the proportional valve, the stock one won't be ok to use, should switch to a 40/40 prop valve
majorkin19 i used the stock one
@@backyardbuilthondas1284 What are your feelings about this setup? Prop valve for drums could have some like 40/20 so for discs is not enough i think.
