I've been using the 301 here in SC for the last 4 or 5 seasons. I've took 9 gobblers total with it. The closest being 6 yds. & farthest being around 40 yds. No complaints whatsoever. I shoot the Federal #9's with the factory choke. Wished this setup had been available years ago!

@DracoLorenz being able to shoot 45acp, 45colt, 410 is a big plus the way ammunition is , price ,availability is going to worsen in time. I noticed I have 450 to 500 hard cast rnfp bullets not included the outher 452 dia hps. as primers are high I have successfully loaded small and large pistol to 100 percent efficiency. papa

Jake you nailed it! Both great guns, both have pros and not so pros😂😂😂😂 I don’t really see cons to either gun. The Rossi is better suited for kids. Rossi uses Mobil chokes like the Mossberg SA410

This doesn’t necessarily pertain to this video but if you had a budget of say $200 would you spend it on more tubes or different TSS brands? It would be nice if a third party sold a “variety” pack of TSS like a box of 5 different brands.

After watching all the vids between the two. I leaned towards the 301. Because of not having that polymer receiver that the rossi has. I purchased a 301 2 weeks ago, a carlson's choke, and some Apex ninja, browning, and federal tss. I plan on ordering the code black choke in the future to see how my gun eats em. But the ninjas outperformed over all thru the carlson. I mean flat out patterned wicked to 40!!! I've got a benelli nova and I shoot tss and long beard with awesome results. But dang that summuck kills at both ends and is heavy toatn around. When my daughter isn't using the .410 I'm gonna be using it for sure. Thanks guys for helping me pick the perfect turkey gun for my daughter and probably myself.

I own two Rossi .410's. One is a youth model with a 22" barrel and plastic furniture and a Limbsaver pad on the end of it(makes the length of pull more adult like). The other is an older model with wood furniture, 28"barrel and no safety. Like you, I have a round in the chamber and my safety is not pulling back the hammer. They are pretty good shotguns.

Im right there with moose. My factory choke on my sons 301 is terrible. After 30 yards its wide a$$ open. I don't let him shoot past 25. With the red dot costing more than the gun and then the thought of a 75 to 100 dollar choke ( thats if you pick the right one that patterns good for that particular gun) i wish i would've just got him the 20 gauge.

    1. the rossi tuffy because of virsitality. 2. I shoot 45acp in my rossi brawler 45colt/410single shot pistol. I use low speed 180gr to 200gr lead cast bullets with the use of metric nitrile o rings from harbor freight sizes 8x2mm and 8.8x1.9 mm slipping over 45acp case head into groove to keep it for falling down the barrel and when action shuts compressing o ring tightly around the 45acp. 3.i keeping 45acp pressures to safe 14,000psi to 15,000 psi it's best to reload 45acp. much reload data out there to safe pressures. out of hodgdon 2024 paper back reloading manual it gives 185gr hdy sjwc ,w-224 powder 5.5 gr 917fps 15,000 psi like the 45colt. 200 gr cast lswc ,cfe pistol powder 7.4 gr 1042 fps /if I properly did the math 500+ ft/lb energy power at 15,000 psi. 200gr spr jhp, cfe pistol powder 6.3 gr 877fps 14,900 psi . these loads printed by hodgdon are safe 45acp loads to shoot in the brawler 45colt/410single shot pistol. I think I have over 150 load data recipes to safely shoot 45acp in the brawler. I have tested the brawler with extreme pressure loads to see how far I can go with 45and will be testing extreme pressure loads for 45 acp , 45acp +p, 45 super. actually I've pressure tested loads considerably hotter than 45 super. this reload data im about to print is for educational purposes only not to be reproduced in any form in any 45 colt firearms because serious bodly injuries or death can occur. I personally tested these loads which did flatten the primers. I'll back off 0,5 to 0.7 tenths grain each. 45colt 200gr xtp, w-244 powder 9.6gr , 14,250 psi, 1018 - 1141 fps , 460 -578 ft/lb energy power. 260gr spr jhp cfe pistol powder 9.1gr 14,350.psi 825- 947fps 393 -529 ft/lb energy power. 250gr xtp cfe pistol powder 9.6gr 14,350 psi, 861_1015 fps 428-595 ft/lb energy. 230gr acme red lrn 955-1019 fps. 487-530 ft/lb energy power with w- 244 powder with 7.7gr 13,500 psi. it's been long comment but informational. papa wishing you well 😊
