This series should be on main stream TV! The wife’s out, beer on the go, feck all of interest on TV, Amazon and Netflix...chuffed to see you’d uploaded so sat back and enjoyed...says it all, keep ‘em coming!
James is a proper old school mechanic, my dad was a bike tuner back in the classic TT days, watching James is like being back in the workshop with my Dad. Great series glad I stumbled upon this wealth of content
Long time viewer, first time commenter, the budget bike vids are your best work. I look forward to each new episode. Eager to watch you guys smash it in 2018. Cheers.
Literally, my favourite series on TH-cam at the moment. And as a bonus, having gotten a 98 bandit 6 months ago, this is some very informative shit for a novice. Noice.
You're right! It will just leave it! He should do the airbox mod too. But I can't remember if he has a Power Commander on it now or not? If he don't have one it will really starve of fuel
@@phille042 if its an FI, than it wont starve, cause mine has the airbox mod, almost completely open exhaust (delkevic) and its running RICH on the track
So I'm just home from work, and it's a toss up between the Grand Tour and the BBB. You boys win, no real need for a toss. Well, I might have one later 🤜
Great stuff, excellent videos, compulsive viewing. Good to see the real grime, grief and rust of owning these machines along with the fun in the previous episodes. As an owner of an old K3 SV650S I am getting familiar with seized nuts, getting f***ing oil filters off and brake caliper rebuilds. Keep going guys this is so much more real and watchable than those Top Gear/Grand Tour tossers.
Thing I like about it, is they don't start with "Here is the full superbike spec Ohlins front end, which we got earlier, and the cases are out getting line bored and cleaned up after crack testing and X-rays, and then we're going to get them bead blasted and sprayed & baked with super Cal-Guard mat-black coating for racing, which is 1/500th of a mm thick and only costs as much as a house..." These are the sort of bikes ordinary people can buy, and the sort of tidy up / improve ordinary people can do. The front calipers on there didn't come off Rossi's old race bike...
This, this i like because i fell like i'm leaning something. Good shit boys! So here's an idea. you can have it for free. Do a series with guru James, on bike basics, like service, what to do, what to listen for how to do it and do it properly. and the slowly become more advanced. Idea 2: Lets call it tea time or 44Tea. you invite or go out and have a talk like you did with Scott in the back of the van. And you just talk about bike and your love for bikes.
James has been building my race bikes on and off for the past 10 years - including TT bikes. If there was a monetary value owed to him, it would be millions. They are a top bunch there
William Fogg where in US are you? I have a old srad 750 and am after some 4 pots. Currently in the states with work and would be interested in a purchase if local enough. Have transport in ky at present.
Another great video! Can't wait to see what Chris has done to the zx7.. been loving this series! Anyone else want to know what bike was on the dyno? Sounded mean 😁😂
Best channel by miles.....been waiting for more of this challenge....its such a great idea. Brilliant entertainment and informative too from James..... Tell us a little about the Honda VF750 In the background please ?
I think James is the only guy I’d let turn wrenches on my bikes. Problem is I’d have to fly them across the Atlantic! True mechanics like this are a rare breed.
That mechanic loves to teach his trade, and I really like to see that and learn a few things too. Can't wait to see more of the build of both bikes, and the trips. Next time, for the same budget try and get the best bike possible, 600cc+ but see who can get the best looking, lowest mileage, well looked after machine rather than the most iconic big sports bike of a certain era :)
This would be the best thing on TH-cam had I not uploaded a video of my miniature schnauzer chasing a laser dot when she was a puppy. She’s 12 now bless her little heart. Please don’t ever get too famous and change.
That project seems like a great amount of fun to restore. So much satisfaction to be had by taking an old homper and fixin' her back up new. I almost feel bad I'm on the outside watching in - the brake caliper job, if given to me and no deadline, I'd do that for free just because it's interesting.
Brilliant. Old school 750's proper road bikes. This has the makings of wheeler dealers for bikes. Glad there was a responsible adult present. Cant wait for the next episode
I just put that exact same front end on my 1st gen SV650. those 6 pot calipers are not bad, i did a full rebuild on them and bought a dual banjo bolt from the master cylinder so I could get rid of that cross over brake cable. gives a bit better feedback and makes bleeding the brakes easier.
that oil leak is from the inner o ring on water pump. had same leak on mine. hiflofiltro hf138 is what i use too. love watchin ya AL . even on the older superbike school , you kicked ass man. big fan
Fagan, I was an avid reader of FastBikes and was gutted when you left and I stopped buying it shortly after. I had wondered what you were up to so I was glad I found your channel. You and Chris are very entertaining to watch and I love your vids. The behind the scenes stuff, like this video contains, are very informative and entertaining so keep up the great work. "Obviously you're bit of a chubby lad", smashing.
This series should be on main stream TV! The wife’s out, beer on the go, feck all of interest on TV, Amazon and Netflix...chuffed to see you’d uploaded so sat back and enjoyed...says it all, keep ‘em coming!
Richard Fellows
Sounds like if you have absolutely nothing else to do, this is the show.
James is a proper old school mechanic, my dad was a bike tuner back in the classic TT days, watching James is like being back in the workshop with my Dad. Great series glad I stumbled upon this wealth of content
I like that guys attitude, "nothings an issue".
Fucking brilliant, those guys at JHS know their stuff!
Probably the best series you've all done on 44Teeth. Love it. Thanks.
Mike
Agreed!!!!!
James is 'the man!' Top Video! Thanks for posting.
Long time viewer, first time commenter, the budget bike vids are your best work. I look forward to each new episode. Eager to watch you guys smash it in 2018. Cheers.
I live in Australia and I want JHS to service my bike! Great crew... This challenge is the best feature yet on the channel. Love it!
I'm super excited about the Africa trip, best of luck!
This series is the best since 44 teeth started. Love it!
Literally, my favourite series on TH-cam at the moment. And as a bonus, having gotten a 98 bandit 6 months ago, this is some very informative shit for a novice. Noice.
best series i have ever watched
think i might need to get my srad forks redone by this guy. quality vid
If Fagan puts some k5 headers on that it’s going to leave the Kwak on the other side of the channel
You're right! It will just leave it! He should do the airbox mod too. But I can't remember if he has a Power Commander on it now or not? If he don't have one it will really starve of fuel
......carbureted.
SeraphinoII 98 and 98 srad 750 fi.
Right i thought i heard from them that it is carbureted. But i guess i got confused with the kawi.
@@phille042 if its an FI, than it wont starve, cause mine has the airbox mod, almost completely open exhaust (delkevic) and its running RICH on the track
Absofukinlootely your best vid yet... Can't wait to see what Chris has done...
So I'm just home from work, and it's a toss up between the Grand Tour and the BBB. You boys win, no real need for a toss. Well, I might have one later 🤜
Suzuki for the win Im thinking!! Classic parts program is a godsend for you
This was one of the funniest videos I have watched in a long time. PLEASE keep this series going.
class. jhs racing seems awesome.
Awesome. I find bike/car rebuild videos very satisfying to watch.

Excellent video JHS looks like a great place, looking forward to the next update!
Love this feature!
If you put worn fork bushes back in to rebuilt forks with new seals, the new seals will leak again within a few days.
One of the best uploads yet. Great content looking forward to more like this
Love this series! I’m sure I saw him down centre parks today 🤔
This, this i like because i fell like i'm leaning something. Good shit boys!

Agreed.
nah you'd never understand his Brizzle accent, been taking my bikes to JHS for years, no nonsense, down to earth people, i wouldn't go anywhere else
Love this, I would rather watch this then watching a race 😄
Brilliant video, looking forward to the next episode already!
Highlight of the week right here, just in time for the weekend!
I need to watch that one a few more times. Amazing watching him do the forks.
That "Budget bike battlllllllllllllllllle"
Makes me laugh every time and I've watched em all a couple of times. Brilliant lads, thank you
The guy fixing the bike absolute legend. You know you've got a man who's decent with a spanner when he's good with the craic and a bit mental.
That was definitely worth the wait lads. Come on BVG yours better be good too 👍🤟
Loved it, looking forward to the updates, can't wait another month! Well done guys
JHS seem like a top bunch!
Love JHS, if I find myself overseas in the UK, I want to just stop by the shop and creep out.
They do work for Fast bikes magazine I believe. Fagan is a journalist for the Magazine so it makes sense they have a professional relationship.
James has been building my race bikes on and off for the past 10 years - including TT bikes. If there was a monetary value owed to him, it would be millions. They are a top bunch there
Very good lads as we’d say here
Jim 86
Love the vids Alastair and Chris have done in the shop. Can we have more please?
Been Team SRAD from the beginning really enjoyed this video. Own a Suzuki and know first hand the cheese quality of a lot of the parts! Keep it up!
It didn't end well lol
so hyped for this build series
Still can’t believe this channel has sub 100k subscribers. Best bike content hands down on TH-cam.
Team Statham! for the win
As a SRAD owner, it’s awesome seeing one being sorted out in a feature video! Srad for the win!
Also, I’ve got several sets of 6 and 4 pot brake calipers for a srad 750 as well as yoshimira headers I would donate but I’m in the US!
We'll pay the shipping!
Well I'll run to my shop Tomorrow (Saturday for the US), They've been on the shelf for a while so I'll make sure they're good to go.
Team SRAD because I'm bold as well.
William Fogg where in US are you? I have a old srad 750 and am after some 4 pots. Currently in the states with work and would be interested in a purchase if local enough. Have transport in ky at present.
Best bike-related show on TH-cam. You guys deserve ten times as many subscribers/views etc.
Loving the series so far boys! Keep up the good work. 👍
Another great video! Can't wait to see what Chris has done to the zx7.. been loving this series!
Anyone else want to know what bike was on the dyno? Sounded mean 😁😂
2018 GSX-R1000R in race trim
Yay! Been more excited about BBB than Xmas!!
This is awesome more of that guys
I wonder what Sue Perkins has in store for the ZX-7R.
Best channel by miles.....been waiting for more of this challenge....its such a great idea.
Brilliant entertainment and informative too from James.....
Tell us a little about the Honda VF750 In the background please ?
Bad ass episode Jason!
Richard hit the nail there - get someone to put this on TV boys its gold gold gold
Great video, can't wait for the rest.
love this series
Bloody awesome content!
It’s 3am and yea I woke up to watch this !
I think James is the only guy I’d let turn wrenches on my bikes. Problem is I’d have to fly them across the Atlantic! True mechanics like this are a rare breed.
I love this series!
yes..I have lost a day on these two clowns ! its brilliant !!!! maybe I should do some work !
This is a great series, sometimes the simplest ideas are the best, Brilliant
This would be the best thing on TH-cam had I not uploaded a video of my miniature schnauzer chasing a laser dot when she was a puppy. She’s 12 now bless her little heart. Please don’t ever get too famous and change.
FINALLY... You replace that hedious blue windshield..The new tinted one look PERFECT
Damn you guys are funny as shit. Best moto channel on TH-cam.
That project seems like a great amount of fun to restore. So much satisfaction to be had by taking an old homper and fixin' her back up new. I almost feel bad I'm on the outside watching in - the brake caliper job, if given to me and no deadline, I'd do that for free just because it's interesting.
Best series ever!
Seriously the top gear/ grand tour of motorcycles. I would pay to watch this.
Best one by far. Love the technical detail!
Absolutely loving it, cant wait to see how it goes in Africa
Good job boys. laying the groundwork for a great series.
Love the Jamaican big brother presenter accent:) great vid btw
Jamaican?! Geordie more like!
Luobo Mu Yeah, Geordie Jamaican 😂
I lost it when he said "Its like chicken shit mixed with Pneumonia".
These blokes will be the first, nice, intelligent motorcycle mechanics I’ve personally ever seen.
Brilliant. Old school 750's proper road bikes. This has the makings of wheeler dealers for bikes. Glad there was a responsible adult present. Cant wait for the next episode
This definitely has more than a taste of new-old Top Gear, just with bikes! Love it, fellas, keep it up!
Re watching this series for probably the 4th time, as I patiently wait for the 2021 budget bike battle!
Brilliant episode entertaining and educational at the same time. Thank you! Looking forward to team green although I am bound to support gixxer!
I love this series and this channel. Great stuff, guys! You have viewers from the U.S.
As part of this series it would be awesome to see you take them both on track and see what lap times you both can get on both bikes
Great series!
I can't believe I just discovered this series. HOOKED.
Great vid mate. Love watching professional's working on bikes :)
Found this channel randomly and i love it
Amazing work look forward to the next instalment
Finally it’s back. YES! 👍🏾
Love these videos, great series !
I learn so much from this series. Love it.
Never clicked on a video this fast
Awesome video love the series!
I wish I had a fraction of this guys knowledge. I'm a full tater when it comes in motorcycle mechanics.
that oil leak is from the inner o ring on water pump. had same leak on mine. hiflofiltro hf138 is what i use too. love watchin ya AL . even on the older superbike school , you kicked ass man. big fan

Really good channel. Love this mechanic 👌👌 clearly knows he knows..
Alastair “is that normal” Fagan!
Cracking content!
Do the headers! Been waiting weeks for this just made my day !
Al’s face at 2:53 is priceless... with the Muffin Man song it just trips me out
Always a good watch, cheers lads for the quality content.
Fagan, I was an avid reader of FastBikes and was gutted when you left and I stopped buying it shortly after. I had wondered what you were up to so I was glad I found your channel.
