      Bingo. No doubt that, like Now, it'll get better. But I've been waiting for Now to get better since it came out, and I still find it pretty much useless (unless you like using your device like a toy instead of to get shit done).
      So Assistant is a nice idea, but not the "wow" selling point it's made out to be.

      Richard Servello sign up for the beta. 7.1.1 is a large improvement over 7.0 for the Nexus 6p. Only downside is you'll lose the Night Light workaround and "OK Google" becomes spotty but otherwise I've noticed faster performance when navigating around and in the camera and more consistent battery. Maybe you could use a factory reset as well.

    Watching this on my Pixel XL - Previously I owned a OnePlus 3 and S6 Edge and this phone just blows them out of the way, theres no going back once you go purist Android.
    The warranty from OnePlus was garbage and I had to refund the phone, it took me over a month for a refund, it also didn't support all the LTE bands for us here in Australia and battery life was atrocious ! I would get 2 hours of SOT on my OnePlus3.
    The S6 Edge was great but I never used any features that Samsung offer from water resistance, SD card, wireless charging.. And It still gave me too many hiccups and lag, I also wasn't a fan of the Touch UI.
    Going to the Pixel XL, everything *just works*, its smooth and clean like Michael Fischer said.. Also I'm getting about 5 hours of SOT for the first time ever! I agree it is expensive, no phone is perfect, but the overall package you get and the experience with it just makes it worth it in my opinion, plus unlimited google photos (at any resolution) is seriously under-rated.
    Edit: Traded it in for an iPhone 7+, I'm an iOS convert now.

      This is the thing most people don't understand. They seem to think that Apple owns the production line of the iPhone all the way down, when they contract manufacturing out like any other company.
      As an aside; I honestly, truly admire your videos. You put well thought out points in them, while also bringing some original content in terms of unorthodox information (For example trying every command in a Pixel ad with Google Now) Not to mention your editing is top notch. Leagues better than MKBHD. He seems to just tell us what we already knew and then promotes a dbrand skin. Which brings me to my point. What would I have to do to ensure that you can keep this quality up, while keeping distracting promotional material down?
      Thanks, and keep up the fantastic work!

    • @danidosie
      @danidosie 8 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      S7 much thinner bezels and, more beautiful, waterproofing, many more features, wireless charging and much cheaper.... i don't give a fuck if app will load 1 sec slower...Overall is a better device

    • @alexts94
      @alexts94 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Not really. The s7 comes loaded with features like a microSD slot and touchwiz features that most "normals" don't care about. That's why people buy iPhone- because of its simplicity. The pixel does just that. Although its hardware isn't as good as the s7, it blows it away in software experience, with zero lag and no extra gimmicks.

    • @danidosie
      @danidosie 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Trexy Smexy micro sd is a feature that everyone use especially the " normals". Touchwiz is better for 'normals' because it has many features without need to install apps. Everything is a matter of taste, but touchwiz is not load with bloatware anymore and it very nice UI.

      @oshiiMIKEY 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bankhead 1 I'm currently choosing whether to get rid of my iPhone 7 Plus and get an s7 Edge or Pixel. I'm concerned over the lag, as every Samsung I've had including the Note 4 lagged and actually the speakers stopped working. Every Samsung I've had has broke. Regardless. I'm not new to rooting but I'm assuming it would require a root? Also why would you recommend the s7E besides the obvious like features and price point.

      Digital to Analog Converter, basically the hardware that turns your music files into something your headphones or speakers can play. The Pixel doesn't have a good DAC, which means you won't get good audio quality from the 3.5mm headphone jack.

    This is the best review for the pixel I've seen so far because Michael gets who this phone is being targeted to. The one thing that both the iPhone and pixel can claim is software and hardware integration making the experience buttery smooth on both. That's why Google and Apple can charge so much and people will pay. Other phones like the oneplus 3 is a much better value. But for people, like me, who want iPhone like consistent speed with the flexibility of Android, the pixel is the only game in town.
