Yeah, and even Samsung aside from their foldables, has become quite stale. Mocking the competitors removing certain feature all while too quickly follow the suit anyways. They have become more expensive either. True the hardware polish have improved and OneUI is I think the best thing Samsung could do software wise, gone are the old bloated TouchWiz. But now there is less contender in the smartphone space that are willing to experiment.
If you think about it, Sony is also only the Japanese smartphone brand exist in the international market. Sure, domestically there are more and South Korea might have some few unknown domestic players as well. But it felt like the market has become more homogeneous, except more Chinese brands have become better and already filling up the space. At least they are making some experiments on their phones, all while not charging too much. I kinda wish though some would tone down with their too iOS-like UI skins.

I've been saying this for years I have been a staunch LG user yeah I've used other phones but primarily for the past several years I use LG phones I also remember using the LG Envy I remember everyone had that phone..
But like I remember thinking the last few years that I really hope LG totally revamps their marketing department because that was one of its big issues it had I understand it wasn't it's only issue but it definitely was one of its big issues and I don't understand how a company like LG couldn't see that..
I mean the truth is LG could have kept going and definitely because they make enough money to support their phone division on their other stuff they sell..
So I thought two or three years ago I was like LG needs to go away for a year or two revamp everything and their phone department and come back blow everyone away push this sh*t out of a amazing phone you know spend the money on getting well known celebs and influencers to use the phone so their fans will want to buy it.
I don't know they were doing what's best for them and I understand that but in my opinion I think that would have been an awesome move because personally as an LG user I don't update my phone every year it's usually every two years and that's a common thing with LG users is a lot of us it's every two years before we switch to a new phone which I understand a phone company to compete in the market need to come out with a brand new phone every year but the big thing is that LG users don't upgrade to new phones every year they're not like iPhone and Samsung users that soon as a new phone drops they get immediately.
Like I got the Lg v30 and then I upgraded to the G7 and then I went from the G7 to the v60 was one of the few LG phones I got relatively soon as after it was released but by that point it was almost 2 years since I upgraded my phone and I look on Verizon and if you look on Verizon's website now like Samsung's newest phones have terrible reviews same thing with iPhone Samsung users are pissed that Samsung is doing more stuff that iPhone is doing and they are angry because the reason they like Samsung is because it's not a iPhone replica.. but I remember seeing such good reviews on the V60 and it also had a free dual screen attachment as a free with purchase and even now it has a 4.3 or 4.5 review rating on Verizon compared to a big chunk of the other phones..
Yeah I appreciate it that Verizon kept there headphone jack and a lot of smartphone users and people who reviewed on understood why LG did that because they had amazing headphone jack technology and I knew that they could yeah but with how much hate Samsung got for taking away the headphone jack even after seeing how much hate iPhone users got I don't know why they did it I mean yeah I get why they did it to make more room and to put more stuff in it and to make the phone slimmer but a good chunk of reviews on Samsung's newer phones is that there's no headphone jack among other things that they don't like about it and I understand yeah people have their issues with LG I get it but it's an amazing phone I wish it wasn't going away especially after the LG Wing came out I thought okay this is a crazy phone and that's why I like LG because it took crazy chances and made these crazy phones that yeah I weren't always well received and that's why I kind of always stuck with them because it wasn't like Samsung and iPhone where it was like here's our newest song with just this and this added pretty much the exact same phone you have but it's a newer version soooo pay us $1,300..
Rip LG you definitely were a game changer thank you for the amazing years..
Now when I need to upgrade to a new phone and a year or so I got to figure out which phone I'm going with I'm not an iPhone person and I'm not really a Samsung person either I've tried both those phones and I don't like them so I don't know but we shall see hahaha
Anyways that was my big long rant lol
And everything I stated was just my personal opinion if you own a Samsung or an iPhone and you love it that's great you do you.
    Lol

What a phenomenal video. A lot of big truths in this. I'm looking forward to the LG Chocolate video. I had the Voyager when it was in it's prime. THAT was a great phone along with the chocolate. Everyone in my school district had it. Only a select few had iPhones at the time.

I have to confess that one of the phones that I most enjoy was an LG. Now I have and iPhone 13 mini, ( I don’t like big phones) but iPhone is like having a Toyota, it is a good product, works well but it lacks of character kills me. There is not excitement. Good but not fun. I have been looking for a new phone different and fun. If you have any sugestión let me know.

I remember being on the playground when the LG chocolate was the "it" phone, "she's got an LG chocolate" this, "I'm getting an LG chocolate for my birthday" that - I wasn't into tech as much back then so I was just thinking "huh must taste pretty good". Really was my first taste of phones not only being something you'd want to carry, but a fashion choice in itself. So they've stuck around in my mind for that.

Second RIP my LG Envy. Best phone I ever owned.
I used to exclusively buy LG phones after I switched from Apple. They were great until around the V30+ I started to notice just a horrendous level of bloatware and slowdowns overtime.

I had to suffer so much at my school and work for weeks without a back up phone to check important phone call, email, and messages. What pissed me off most is that their customer service tried blame me for using non LG branded charger. Not sure how using a charger could cause a sould cause software glitch instead of causing hardware problem.

Lumia 950 XL here, the first ever phone with a heatpipe. The only phone I ever had that killed its battery in a single year. Just a few days after the one year mark (battery warranty), the phone started shutting off at 60 - 80 percent. Eventually I bought Mugen's 9300 mAh monster. Still works but I only use it a few times per year to boot WoA.
