  • In this video, Jim Roese covers (in detail) both hardware and software changes found in the upgrade path of an existing Midas PRO 3/6/9 console to a PRO-X system. For current owners of Midas PRO 3/6/9 systems, this video is a great tool in understanding how money used on upgrading your current console to the flagship of the PRO Series line is a positive investment and money well spent.
Note: To avoid confusion regarding show files mentioned in this video - Generation 3 software will load and operate on Pro Series consoles running Generation 2 software, but all features and improvements found in the newer operating system will not be available on consoles running Generation 2 software. PRO 3/6/9 console software upgrades halted at version 2.6.1, eliminating the possibility of utilizing the newer features of Generation 3 on Midas PRO 3/6/9 systems.

Great Video, Jim. This is the exact explanation I was looking for. Question: is the cost to upgrade the same no matter what console you start with? IE would it be the same to upgrade an 3 to and X as a 9 to an X? Thanks.

    Hi Jim,
Great improvement for these consoles, but what about Pro1 and Pro2?
