    Well done but just a doubt: you say that ion channels do not bind, and do not modify their structure.. so are not considered carrier proteins... but then you state that the ligand gate has a receptor that binds with the ligand making the gate open. So according to the binding is it considered or not a carrier protein or carrier proteins are those , as the word say that carry inside the molecule?
