    Tired of people complaining in the comments that this is not a real truck. It has a bed just like another truck... The people who say this is not a real truck: 1) doesn't even own a truck or 2) don't even use their truck for its purposes (off-roading or carrying shit)

      Except it doesn't have a bed like any other truck, the Ridgeline bed is better because it's essentially flat; you don't have to navigate your cargo around the wheel wells.
      The bed is also higher so it's easier to access from the sides of you're reaching in.
      There's also a trunk in the bed. Way better!

    Just got one. It's a very well though out vehicle and the ride and comfort rival any modern CUV/SUV including some of the luxury brands. I had a Tundra for 9 years and as reliable as it was and as much as I liked it the ride and tight parking was getting old. I didn't need a full-size truck anymore but I did not want to give up the bed for my motorcycles and other needs. The solution was the Ridgeline. I drove the others ( except the Ranger) and as much as I like Toyota the Tacoma was not for me. It I was 30 and wanted to hammer it off road maybe but that seating position is not comfortable at all for me and the rest is just a bouncy loud experience. The Canyon is nice but still GM cheap inside and still rides like a truck. The Ridgeline just works. No it will not boulder climb or tow a 8000b fifth wheel but I don't need that capability. 23 MPG mixed driving with a usable bed and a luxury cabin and ride thank you very much.

    Since the updated RDX has a 2.0L turbo 4 with 272hp & 280tq, I'd like to see a 2.5L turbo 4 with 300+ hp & tq and the 10 speed trans. But mostly a more off-road option. A factory suspension lift with 265/65r18 tires and an off-road mode that allows you to lock the center and rear differentials. The Black Forest Pearl color of the Pilot would be great too.

    I wonder when the refresh is coming. Pilot is done so I assumed the Ridgeline would be next.

    Went to Toyota dealership on Friday, to check on Tundras and Tacomas. Window stickers say they are all made in Mexico now. Ridgeline is the only choice left for a reliable pickup.

    I almost bought one, but couldn't stand the media stuff. No volume knob? Have decided to wait to see if there's an update for 2020. There are other things that bugged me as well. The back doors don't swing open very wide, but that can actually be fixed after-market. A $40K+ vehicle also shouldn't have struts to keep the hood open. Fix those things, then we'll talk.

    • @imperexx
      @imperexx 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same here, waiting for updated head unit, wider swing door, safety features, and perhaps a black grill (like Passport).

    • @treads2595
      @treads2595 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      imperexx Actually the expedition is a F150 with a top added but we’re splitting hairs. The true difference is that the expedition which was derived from the F150 feels like an SUV where as the Honda ridgeline which was derived from the pilot feels like a pilot.

      This is a luxury pick up for people who don't want to feed a V8 or pay a 50k MSRP.
      Lots of people in my area have pick ups but rarely use it for heavy work , I see many women using it as a grocery getter and to take their family places . In these situations the Ridgeline would be the lower cost option compared to an f150 Lariat or Ram 5.7 hemi

      Most cars were body-on-frame RWD a couple of decades ago, does the change to FWD unibody make them not cars? "Full size" pick up trucks today are not really pickups either, their beds are too tall and too short to be of any real use. They are really just pieces to show off who has a bigger (chromed plastic) grill.
