@@cutiebirb2853 Im by no means an expert, but my personal experience was that, if you get the male as a pup, while you already have your female as a young adult, she's the boss and treats the male however she feels like, and it ultimately led to him reacting really violently because he was fed up from years of bullying, and it was actually really dangerous, beacuse by the time he fought back, he was a cerberus sized Corso, he almost killed her, the only thing that startled him was my moms crazy screams lmao.

My smallest female shepherd established dominance over the larger females from day one. I have a male Alaskan Malamute who to date stands at 140 lbs. He has extremely high dominate instincts even as a young pup. Obviously he dominates my females. I swell with pride when I watch him assert himself among the females. He is not a bully but a fair minded alpha. He settles disputes among the females quickly and without hurting them. He's highly intelligent and takes his role seriously. I do notice sometimes and at quiet moments he'll call the females over to him for nothing more than to have them praise him lol. That'll include allowing him to sniff their Hind quarters, Lick his face, bare their bellies and eventually just lay next to him. Understanding his need to dominate meant we began working intently with him as a young pup. Particularly with his food aggression. He was going to be around children and would growl while he was eating specifically if a child was in the room. Once I established myself as the dominate I began working with him with the children. As I stated he's highly intelligent and has taken to his training quite well. Now instead of trying to dominate the children he's very protective of them.
When the rottweiler put her front foot on the doberman's shoulder, she was attempting to assert dominance. The doberman may be smaller, however most of them are ferocious fighters.

However, if a dog come into our yard that he didn't like! they were in deep shit!! neighbors had fighting dogs and they got through the fence and went after my mother while she was hanging clothes out on the line! Duke took on all three to save my mother! He messed them up and held them off while my dad came in to stomp the living hell out of those dogs! So question. I have 2 Male American Bulldogs. They are litter mates. There was an incident and they attacked a dog together. Now they have had three moments like this. But neither back down. They end in us separating them and reintroducing. No bite marks and they intensely love one another. Is this just normal?

He's socialized from a puppy under no circumstances would he allow another dog to sniff him or mount him, I've taken him to many dog parks it's just not allowed by him ever and he is 6 years. He doesn't like humans to touch his backside and I can touch his backside with no problem but I don't because I know he doesn't like it so I don't do that to him. Dogs let you know what they like and dislike.

Amongst Canidae size does not determine social status. Their position within canine hierarchy is determined by the personality of the individual, and not necessarily the breed itself. Regardless of the breed, it's natural personality traits which the individual dog is born with that determine it's position of dominance. Even a Chihuahua can dominate a dog much larger than itself, as long as they're both part of the same pack.
