Game developers start to resemble car manufacturers, those who still charge for optionals like electric windows, air conditioning or car stereo, basic things that should included in the entry package.
To be honest I'm starting to become convinced that the Enix side of Square Enix is just doing their damndest to just kill off the Square side of thier company. InfernusKnight Such as? Just curious. Never really knew what happened to them afterward. Are any of them currently a part of anything exciting or did you just mean that they decided to leave peacefully and such?
"At which point I grip up the fucking cashier, take him over the fucking counter and proceed to pound their face into something that looks like oatmeal" XD
Next you'll have to pay to be able to pay for the game. "You want to buy the game for $60? Well you have to pay $10 for that privilege... plus the $60 for the game."
Fortnite has a hidden DLC that doesn't pop up until you purchase the $120 super DLC. (It's ~$200 on it's own too.) It's happening, two years later, kind of.
Some games in the past were released using the "pay per episode" format. If the released game were $49.99, then a $9.99 DLC finished the game up, it's still essentially a $59.99 game. There is no additional cost. Like I said, it's not ideal, but it's no loss to anyone either way, since it is ultimately the same price for the same content, just with a difference in time.
There should be a law regarding DLC where a game must be able to be fully Completed story wise without the need to purchase any DLC.. Extra shit is fine but that basically amounts to buying a book with some of the pages ripped out and then having to go back and buy them..
I hardly consider Caius one of Final Fantasy's best antagonists. He doesn't even break the mold of the typical FF bad guy that they've been using since 7. I honestly think Kefka is the best bad guy in the series.
The gaming market needs another crash. Unfortunately, it's become too mainstream for that to ever happen. I expect the DLC nightmare to continue getting worse.
ff13/13-2 were abhorrently terrible anyways. Anyone that plays that linear piece of shit game and thinks its good enough to get to the ending kind of deserves to pay more for it anyways. SQUARLINEARNIX
out of curiosity what do you see in the FF13 series? i got to terra in the first one n realised i really didn't care what happened anymore and stopped playing.
CubicBurrito45 see for me story is really important in an rpg, either that or heavy strategy or lost in exploration, which i didn't get from 13. might give 13-2 a chance but lightning returns really doesn't sell me. Have a try of the persona games if your still into turn based rpgs or most of the things from atlus
if you have a vita, get 3 and 4. never bothered with the first 3 (2 was split into 2 games) and the games aren't directly linked as such so missing story stuff doesn't matter.
I've given up on Final Fantasy as a series. As sad as that is as it was my favorite series when I was a kid. I've lost all hope for them. Square used to be such a great gaming company.
Anybody who actually played the game, knows that they not take the game's ending, its an epilogue, to present the upcoming sequel FFXIII Lightning Returns, the only thing FF old fans are still rambling about is nonsense child issues, games evolve, the same franchise as evolve several times, move on, the story is great, the music is one of the best in the series, the artwork is fantastic, it's ok you dont like the gameplay mechanics, but you are holding on to a system that as been deliver to you abot 10 times already, is not that enough?, is the same ResidentEvil4 bullshit again, embrace the good thing they are offering
In 2012, 10 Years ago, the last videogame I have ever played & finished was Shadow Hearts Covenant for the PS2. My friend at the time showed me this video before I bought a PS3. Even though he isn't my friend anymore this was the #1 reason why I have never have played a videogame ever again. Addicted or Not, haven't played a videogame since. Today, 10 Years Later...Still happy that I made that decision.
I sat through till the end Alpha! XD And screw the FF13 series. Ok the first one wasn't that bad. The second one, I was actually happy Sera died. Couldn't bring myself to finish it and my brother did while I watched the last half. Definitely a good thing I didn't bother buying the third game. Hate stupid DLC like this. WTF, who even came up with the idea of charging for an ending. That's like someone buying a book with missing pages at the end!
They didn't charge for the ending. The Lightning Episode merely details what Lightning did after saving Serah and Noel near the end of the game. It's basically just her fight with Caius, some closure on her and Serah's relationship, and why she is a crystal in the game's ending. It also teased "Lightning Returns" by assuring us that Lightning would be back. Basically, the DLC is fan service for Lightning fans. The "to be continued" in the game's ending is for Lightning Returns.
You can bitch about how stupid FF13 and its following is but when it comes to me I liked them. Now if I compare them to other FF's in the main series then I feel 13 needs to be broken up into pieces to be compared 13 itself is by story line a very good story line. It was simple and very easy to follow and even though it had some complexities that you had to pay attention to to understand, it was still a good story line. I would give it a 8 / 8.5 out of 10. The game mechanics of the battle system on the other hand was something more misunderstood. It did have its good spots and even bad spots. The limited growth you had in the beginning mad any grinding kinda useless. The weapon upgrading was a good thought as you can make the weapons the way you want to fight but it takes so long and tedious to even get one weapon done. Then the final bite in the butt was the lack of money to get items. That being said the battle system if you learn all the fine point then it is not a bad battle system but it does limit your effect in battle if your not prepared. FF13-2 and FF13-3(Lightning Returns) The story line went to shit. The battle system was a lot more fun to play with and you could really mess around with things. The Monster fusion was fun but had its problems with the abilities that took a while to figure out unless you had some help ;) FF13-3 on the other hand did its best to fix FF13-2's storyline but I have to say this besides the storyline the game was good. Damn good. the battle system was much like a direct combination between FF13 and FF 7 CC. You had lots of power and battle ideas to use and could get a lot of what you need and even upgrade later on to make your weapons more about what looks better than just a singe weapon of power and has one look. Kinda wished they made the outfits upgradeable as well. Also when hearing about the time limits kinda put me off the game but when playing atleast on easy mode you can screw around for a good bit of the game. I do like the time based parts but the whole game stricktly controlled makes you overlook things in the game. But it does make playing through a couple times worth it though. FF13-3 is one of my faves just by game play alone. I have said all I wanted to say.
I'm kinda with you. The battle system was fun, although I'd say the story becomes shit in chapter 10 of ff13, the moment Cid turns himself to crystal and breaks the game. After that, it's like they had no idea what the fuck they were doing anymore and continuity gets thrown out the window. I was completely put off by lightning returns, even though I have heard it's battle system is quite fun, because of time limits and stupid plot.
+Patrick Murphy Acturaly if you were to try FF13 Lightning Returns. The time system worried me at first but I first played it on easy to get a handle on things and the time thing was no real problem as you can suspend the time by getting points from enemies. It keeps you from staying in a single place to long and missing out on things. Normal play through shortens what you get on points by almost half but you get more gil and powerfuler drops from enemies and hard mode does the same off of Normal Mode. The time clock runs the game much like a real life event form so you want the clock to play through quickly if you want. You can spend hours fighting and the clock stay within a single hour if you wanted. Makes the game more fun but keeps up the difficulty to keep pushing you to get stronger. The plot was odd compared to the rest of FF13 - 1 and 2 Its plot is much like a different game and carries on to the end of which right at the end it gets stupid. The plot made sense to the game more than trying to connect to FF13-2 Almost made me feel like it was a carry over from FF13-1 if anything. I would diffidently give FF13-Lightning Returns a try on easy mode and you can use a little help guide from Gamefaqs. The following playthoughs after the first play are worth doing as your accessories upgrade to max in 2 more playthroughs and you can upgrade your weapons and even chose which weapons you like to keep even though they start weak upgrade with the others in their class to be equal to the strongest.
Adamantian Gilga I did hear the battle system was quite fun. But yeah, the plot sounded really, really dumb. And I also heard in order to level, you need to do side quests, and in order to do side quests, you need to wait, burning down that clock.
+Robertson ponce Nothing wrong with someones opinion but when people try and make their opinions as a fact then that is a problem and when people suggest to play a game or not to play a game they tend to make it seem like their opinions are facts! My assessment of the games is an honest opinion. There are facts in there but all in all its my honest opinion.
At the store "So sir what do you want?" "Well i want the intro, the middle.. and.. the combat system.. Well for now it's all, later i'll buy the ending"
Well, I don't know if they have put back the ending of the game then, but I never had to pay to see the ending. So I don't really understand what you're talking about. It's been a long time since you released this video, but I played the game almost when it came out.
I don't think this was Square's intention. The Ending is there. After finishing XIII-2 and getting all the fragments and Paradox Endings, that's when the final/"true" ending happens, I think. It's supposed to follow right after the "To Be Continued." The only DLC that is there is what it should be, optional story lines, costumes, and colosseum monsters.
I can understand the reason behind this DLC. They waited to see the sales on FF XIII-2 to release an ending because they didn't know if it was going to succeed or not. Since it DID succeed, they developed the DLC they had intended to produce a sequel. It's very easy to break down the process for such a thing. Anyone else see this as logical? I do. They made an ending that could go both ways. Everyone kills the boss and it's happy time land because they have to finish. Or what they gave us.
Lightning's whole monologue is her asking whether or not she has the strength to continue fighting, the DLC pretty much sets up what would be the antagonist of XIII-3 that she would combat. But you have to realize that it wasn't meant to give proper closure, it was meant to explain her crystallization, which it did.
The DLC explains and shows Lightning's crystallization, and then runs the normal ending of XIII-2 with a monologue by Lightning. It then rolls the credits and after they're done another scene plays (this is a secret ending, you have to 5-star Chaos Bahamut to get it) with another monologue by Lightning and *SPOILERS* it shows a subtitle that reads "in a distant future" and shows Lightning awake in the dying world, which looks a little greener.
I completely understand your point, and i really appreciate the mature response. About Tidus though, after all he DID come from a city so massive that there was never any need for combat training. You wouldnt expect a pro football player to pick up a machine gun at a moments notice would ya? The game was trying to put the idea out there that citizens in Zanarkand had it so easy that the moment Tidus had to fend for himself, he was completely clueless.
It's two and a half years later, but that so called "real" dlc ending was really just more of an epilogue that leads to what's more to come in the final game. That said, this probably would have been a much bigger issue if the storyline in these games were you know...good.
the only dlc i feel is legitimate are new campaign/story mode content, or even adding new characters to a fighting game as opposed to stuff like super street fighter 4 where it was the same game with added characters for over half the original price of the first game if i recall. if, given the times we are in, the new smash brothers game had a way of adding new characters after the game comes out via dlc, for a reasonable price, that would be pretty cool
dude, one day a game will come out where you start in a main area with a number of doors (like gauntlet for example) and each door you approach has a price. In order to complete the game you must AT LEAST get a particular combination of items, one of which you have to buy AND its only compatible with a HD connection. Also it saves the game to a cloud synced on XBOX live or something and you have to pay for the space.
Forgot to mention that FFXIII is my favourite game ever. Never before have I been attached to a group of characters and their journey. The story, characters, gameplay, music are all amazing, and the linearity and lack of towns does not bother me one bit, it really made me feel and connect to the isolation that Lightning and co. were experiencing. It added a whole new level to the atmosphere of the game. Just amazing.
@SamusDrake I haven't heard word of an actual new ending but after I beat it my first thoughts were they were going to try to sell me another one. There are a few questions left to be answered (perhaps up to interpretation) and it says "to be continued". At the very least we're getting new DLC episodes with side stories involving other characters.
They didn't really sell the ending as far as I can tell. Requiem of the Goddess (which everyone thinks is the ending) wasn't supposed to be the ending, it was meant to explain an aspect of the ending (which it did) but at the same time it hints at XIII-3. At this point they can either just leave it there (in which case I'd call it an awful ending) or continue and make XIII-3, which I would welcome and be all right with (XIII-2 sold over 2 million copies so it's not a stretch to imagine).
You know, I like this guy. I really do. He's an excellent vlogger who speaks fluently and has some very coherent things to say. The one thing that's really starting to bother me though is the amount of times he says ''fucking''. I mean he says it so many times, it doesn't even mean anything anymore, it's just a word he throws around in a lot of his sentences and it's not necessary. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the type of guy who's against vulgarity, but this kind of plagues the content for me.
I'd be OK with DLC endings or continuations is the original box purchase price reflected this! For example, if I paid $49.99 for FFXIII-2, and then they released the ending later for $9.99, I'm okay with that. It's not preferable, it's not ideal, but it's OK. But charging $60 for the game AND then charging for the ending? No, you don't do that!
DLC is going to ruin gaming as we know it and developers are going to take it further and further until no one is willing to buy their stuff at all, thus it will collapse, which is not what should happen
Fly2theSora, great minds indeed think alike. I was quite upset with the secret ending. I dedicated 1 solid week of collecting all 160 fragments. The "Monster Professor" quest took far too long. I thought the secret ending was the actual ending to the game.
you can't be the real ending. Because they never sold it. What he is saying is partly true. at the end, when pulse become mixed with the chaos of valhalla, just before it says "to be continued" you see a crystallized Lightning. This "ending" he's talking about is how she became as such. The ending of this game is now going be "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
Ok guys chill out for a second, it's not confirmed that you have to buy dlc to see the ending, there had been speculations and hints by square for another sequel, even if they do release a dlc ending for xiii-2 other companies and square themselves will not do it EVER again, what we have to do is not by the episode dlc that comes out and just watch it on here -_-
So I don't really know where I stand on this, XIII-2 ended on a cliffhanger and I instantly knew XIII-3 would be coming, so if I think about ROTG as a sort of teaser trailer for XIII-3 (which the scene after the credits screams) then I'm all right with it as XIII-2 ended with a cliffhanger and therefore always had it's ending included, it just happened to be a cliffhanger which would lead to an already planned third game.
so.. ninty is the only one doing dlc right? mario kart 8 dlc looks beast. 50% more tracks. blue falcon. link. villager. isabelle. skins. MONTHS after release, when people are getting tired of the already amazing entry in the mario kart series (with the exception of battle mode).
That's because each FF game is it's own self contained independent story. A few games in the series like 10, 7 and 13 have had sequels, or in 7's case, multiple sequels.
Next it will be menu options at $0.50 per selection, gameplay charged @ $1.36 per minute, special moves $5.00 each. That is after of course you pay your $29.95 monthly subscription fee to play the game.
Don't worry, like Kingyleon said, you aren't actually paying for the "real" ending. It is a bit of an epilogue and not at all needed to understand the story. The way AOS frames it here though is that it is only an ending. It's actually has more to it. It's an additional boss battle w/ Lightning being the playable character. If you 5-star the fight, you get her as one or your monster crystals. I enjoyed it. Lightning in that battle is more powerful than Serah or Noel fully optimized.
if this happens, it'll be on youtube the day after the game comes out. even if they delete the video over copyright you would be able to find the video on some other loop hole of a website.
Considering how open ended, and multi-routed ,most games are in Japan, this was bound to happen sooner or later. .. . .many amazing games made in Japan from Fate-stay/night, Higurashi,corpse-party, to stein's-gate were multiple routed [yes I know these were .. .. ummm indie games>?"] This is so prevalent that this was almost guaranteed to happen!
In the future, whenever you have a choice to make in RPGs, you'll have a number of choices each with a different price, and free ones that lead to bad endings. Yep, you'll have to pay up if you'll want to save that character that you like so much in that game you're a fan of.
Honestly, I can understand why they're releasing DLC endings. They travel through time and when you travel through time you create paradox endings, which is exactly what they're doing. Releasing all the different possible endings.
Oh and the very last words of the scenario is Lightning saying "So I dream, waiting for the end of eternity" then it shows her awake "and the day that I awaken once again."
I'm right at the end of chapter 4.. It's disappointing knowing I'll have to wait until final fantasy 13-3 to come out next year to find out what happens. This sucks man
I stopped playing FF after 10 so I don't know, but people say that this is technically an alternate ending. Even though it's the "true" ending. From what I understand, the game has multiple endings, not counting the DLC ending. To me, that sounds like an alternate ending. Now really, other than the bosses (optional bosses), the ending can just be watched on the internet. So it's not like you have to pay for the story in the alternate ending. You would just be paying for those bosses if you really wanted to fight them. Which is cool. I like when I finish a game I enjoy, and they offer me some new challenges. Again, I didn't play this game, but I'm sure tons of people enjoyed it and were more than happy to pay for two more bosses.
Asura's Wrath also withheld the ending and sold it as DLC. It's an awesome game but people need to be aware that they're going to have to pay more if they want to play the entire game.
The ending that you have to buy from DLC is the lightning episode, and it's basically the same ending as the main game, just from lighting's point of view. The story was left at a cliffhanger, it never was concluded, not even with DLC. Well, I guess they can say it was concluded, but that would make the list of one of the worst endings of all time, so 13-3 must be on the way.
There's this wonderful thing called "walkthroughs." If you don't like Lightning, don't buy it. I'm a Lightning fan, and I bought it because I wanted to play as her. It was also on a day where the DLC was half off, so it wasn't like I was paying an arm and a leg for it. Like he/she said, it's not the ending, and SE certainly isn't forcing anyone to buy it.
People FF Type-0 for the PSP is an action RPG with an open world map and an epic War Story line that hasn't gone out of Japan and they are already planning FF 13-3! Type-0 has 40 hour story line and 3 multiple endings, i repeat: 3 freken endings with a real conclusion, just pick the one you like and roll with it not to mention that the game includes online play with the PSP Ad hoc party and a New Game+ mode to carry over everything, demand the game to Square NOW please help save FF!
Ff14 will include 22 missing contents that were taking off the game and will be charging 20$ each. Oh and also you can only get ONE of them in a limited edition pack of the game which will cost 110$ and ask you "would you like the dlc with that". So total the full game will be 2,000$ about and but wait that's just the story behind it. We will also release 30 parts of the multiplayer contents of you to enjoy the SE experience. :). Oh and it's timed exclusive until 7 months for no platforms.
@123bladeron The difference is the story. All the other DLC doesn't change the story of the game but the ending is pretty huge compared to the DLC you mentioned in the other games.
It would be one thing if they intended to take the story a whole lot further, making the game twice as long, but if it's literally just a DLC for the ending, that's pretty nasty move. They could have at least had the courtesy of making the ending an actual ending. At this point, I'd rather see them make a straight-up Final Fantasy XIII-3.
I agree, first Capcom with the in-game DLCs and recently with the cheat codes, now SquareEnix forcing people to pay to in order to see the ending for FF13-2. It seems that game companies never learn their lesson.
AGREED! Imagine if the classic Nintendo had DLC and a classic game such as Contra and removed the Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B,A, Start code and made you pay $5 for 30 lives!
4:51 - Skylanders are doing that with pretty much every character (and vehicles for SuperChargers) except it's physical DLC and charged it for even more money. I miss the old days when you can unlock every character within games. The newer generation of video games emphasis on preorder exclusive bonuses & DLC instead of unlockables by playing the game with no additional fees.
The way I also see it, is that although North America can be more profitable, it's still a japanese company. If Japan likes the game, that might be good enought for them to make more sequels.
Yeah,it's just bad. When i beat XIII-2 and saw that sad ending,i was shocked.Final Fantasy with a bad ending? That's a first.I didn't really look into it back then,so i didn't know what was up.And now i learn about the reason why,and just hate it. The problem is that the companies are too big now. They do whatever the fuck they want. It's not like when they started,it's not the same situation. Now it's just corporate greed.
To be bluntly clear for you, that was NOT the ending to the game. It was just meant to be an extra battle for Lightning. Also, in the end of the regular version (Basically meaning the game w/o the "ending" that you call) they SHOW lightning crystallized. So no big difference at all from the other "ending". Like said, it was meant to be an EXTRA fight, not the "true" ending yo.
for dlc i think that it should never be stuff that pertains to the story but extra stuff that they thought might just be fun to add on. like an extra side story that doesn't warrant a game but will work as dlc yet doesn't affect the main story in any way.
oh man I remember times when we joked around and said things like: "what they're charging for new balancing (MvC3), soon they're gonna charge us for difficulty modes and game endings" ...
I agree with him on this subject and it was ridiculous that people had to also pay to have new weapons,no wonder Chocolina didn't have any new weapons for a long time.
Well you also have to keep in mind that there may be additional DLC yet to come out for it. I haven't even touched the surface of that game and i've poured in at least 100 hours. I also haven't downloaded the dragon born DLC yet either which lets you go to the coast of Morrowind i hear. Which is fucking epic because i worship Morrowind!
Chopping up a game and selling it as DLC is a dick move but another questions has to be asked...
What happens when you cant buy the DLC any more?
this is why people pirate games
Game developers start to resemble car manufacturers, those who still charge for optionals like electric windows, air conditioning or car stereo, basic things that should included in the entry package.

"....that's like charging for every character.."
*checks wikia, sees Final Fantasy: All The Bravest*
AlphaOmegaSin, what have you done?????

It has nothing to do with Enix, it has to do with everyone involved with the old franchises having moved to greener pastures.

93 people disliked this video so does this mean 93 people want to pay for videogame endings?
good point Dio
I mean fact
good fact Dio
"I'm done. Retro gaming here i come." - My thoughts exactly.
Next you'll have to pay to be able to pay for the game. "You want to buy the game for $60? Well you have to pay $10 for that privilege... plus the $60 for the game."
GuruSUPERmaster don't give them any ideas, someone might actually try that. 😞😨
Fortnite has a hidden DLC that doesn't pop up until you purchase the $120 super DLC. (It's ~$200 on it's own too.)
It's happening, two years later, kind of.

I hardly consider Caius one of Final Fantasy's best antagonists. He doesn't even break the mold of the typical FF bad guy that they've been using since 7. I honestly think Kefka is the best bad guy in the series.
kEFKA ....greastest villian ever
Having people "pay" for the ending of ANY game sounds like the number 1 video game publishing sin in history.
The gaming market needs another crash. Unfortunately, it's become too mainstream for that to ever happen. I expect the DLC nightmare to continue getting worse.
Ubisoft did that with their attempt of a prince of Persia reboot. that pissed me off and the fact that square did that is kinda sad
wait i seriously have to buy the canon ending?! No...no...no
What is worse was the secret ending when you get all the fragments.
ff13/13-2 were abhorrently terrible anyways. Anyone that plays that linear piece of shit game and thinks its good enough to get to the ending kind of deserves to pay more for it anyways. SQUARLINEARNIX

I like how this guy speaks the truth 11mins without cutting/editing the video. Straight up Square Enix!
still not as bad as Capcom
Capcom: Hey!!! We're Getting Back On Track At Least I Pity Those Suckers For Buying This Shit
I've given up on Final Fantasy as a series. As sad as that is as it was my favorite series when I was a kid. I've lost all hope for them. Square used to be such a great gaming company.

Agreed. So I was happy she died in that second game of hers :3

+Adamantian Gilga and he won't bother reading it is his opinion i hated the game is garbage again MY OPINION
At the store
"So sir what do you want?"
"Well i want the intro, the middle.. and.. the combat system..
It's supposed to follow right after the "To Be Continued."
The only DLC that is there is what it should be, optional story lines, costumes, and colosseum monsters.
alphaomegasin YOUR GOD OF VIDEO GAMES
I JUST CAN'T THINK OF SOMETHING ELSE TO SAY
YOUR YOUR YOUR i respect you man respect
I can understand the reason behind this DLC. They waited to see the sales on FF XIII-2 to release an ending because they didn't know if it was going to succeed or not. Since it DID succeed, they developed the DLC they had intended to produce a sequel. It's very easy to break down the process for such a thing. Anyone else see this as logical? I do. They made an ending that could go both ways. Everyone kills the boss and it's happy time land because they have to finish. Or what they gave us.
DLCs are fine as long it's not true ending of the game or an reason to cut content from the game only to be added later "non disc dlc"
It still baffles my mind they did that
Forgot to mention that FFXIII is my favourite game ever.
Final Fantasy 13-2 is going to be rereleased in Japan with ALL DLC included but there is no word if it is going to be Japan only or not
Not really, it's more like paying to decorate your house...
It's optional...
*Right-click*
*Stop Download*
That expression said it all
DLC is going to ruin gaming as we know it and developers are going to take it further and further until no one is willing to buy their stuff at all, thus it will collapse, which is not what should happen
You're ranting on FF XIII-2, yet Asura's Wrath did this EXACT SAME THING before this DLC came out...
so.. ninty is the only one doing dlc right? mario kart 8 dlc looks beast. 50% more tracks. blue falcon. link. villager. isabelle. skins. MONTHS after release, when people are getting tired of the already amazing entry in the mario kart series (with the exception of battle mode).
@Fly2theSora Then through that, the fact still remains that the ending is there and won't be DLC.
And I really wouldn't consider square enix dead at the moment. besides final fantasy, they have some good titles (dues ex, sleeping dogs, etc.)
The thing that makes it funny is that the lightning dlc which is the supposed ending ends in the same place as the normal ending
Before you know it, we will be having auction houses for patches and concept art for our games.
if this happens, it'll be on youtube the day after the game comes out. even if they delete the video over copyright you would be able to find the video on some other loop hole of a website.
Next, the whole game including the ending will be on the disc except for the beginning, so if you even want to start the game you have to buy the DLC
Love the intros man!
I could easily see Square-Enix selling a future FF in episodes.
Oh, and there will be DLC for each episode.
Oh and the very last words of the scenario is Lightning saying "So I dream, waiting for the end of eternity" then it shows her awake "and the day that I awaken once again."
Either way, you can't make every fan happy, no matter how hard you try.
I'm right at the end of chapter 4.. It's disappointing knowing I'll have to wait until final fantasy 13-3 to come out next year to find out what happens. This sucks man
To be fair, the PS3 version (Blue-ray) fits on one disc while the 360 is two discs long. So to an extent, it depends on the console.
Your Bowser's Castle example was simply hilarious XDDD
Well... I WAS eating oatmeal at the beginning of this video...
Type-0 has 40 hour story line and 3 multiple endings, i repeat: 3 freken endings with a real conclusion, just pick the one you like and roll with it not to mention that the game includes online play with the PSP Ad hoc party and a New Game+ mode to carry over everything, demand the game to Square NOW please help save FF!
that dance at the end just made me relize how awesom a metalocalypse game would be
I bought this game, just figured this out, and I've never felt so ripped off. I can't believe this.
The darkness does make you look cool btw, and the tune you used started sounding like the opening of Duck Tales.
I agree, first Capcom with the in-game DLCs and recently with the cheat codes, now SquareEnix forcing people to pay to in order to see the ending for
FF13-2.
Like said, it was meant to be an EXTRA fight, not the "true" ending yo.
for dlc i think that it should never be stuff that pertains to the story but extra stuff that they thought might just be fun to add on.
like an extra side story that doesn't warrant a game but will work as dlc yet doesn't affect the main story in any way.
oh man I remember times when we joked around and said things like: "what they're charging for new balancing (MvC3), soon they're gonna charge us for difficulty modes and game endings"
...
If the NES had dlc
Toad:"sorry mario, but the princess costs 10 dollars"
.....That still sounds like they are charging for the ending and an important part of the damn story
That light reflecting in his glasses makes him look like a blue eyed terminator.
In FF 13-2, they added quicktime events. R.I.P. Good Old Final Fantasy.
