Same was born in 1993 but was a hand be down vhs from my brothers. Been stuck in my head for sooo long, I’m from the UK so not a story anybody knows about. Even my brothers can’t remember it telling me I’d made it up
I remember seeing this so many years ago, back when I was in Kindergarten and First Grade! I mostly remember it for that fiddle music which was playing and the chopping context between Paul and Pete! Good to see it here!
pauls ,character, reminds me of my neighbor .He tells everyone he meets, everyone used to call me little Dougie, but now the call me Big Dougie. And my friends ask me why I lift so much weight in the gym and I say because I CAN.
Man I have not seen this animation since I was like, 3-4. I thought it was silly then and it still is. Animation is like the old Rudolf and friends stop motion movies. Appropriate for a tall tale like this.
Why is it that the 1958 Paul Bunyan cartoon is better than the 1973 version...? Not a bad show by any means, I'm just confused at how the animation techniques seem to have regressed.
Savage Source me too! Found this cartoon yesterday and this cartoon has been on my mind for years! And the music kept reminding me of this fabulous cartoon!
BearclawsVillage It's so weird how the end of every little tune , like in that clip you sent me, seemed to fade to just some , weird , demonic pitch at the end.
A time where children's cartoons were the way they are supposed to be. Something wholesome for children. Not that "Mary has two mommies" crap. No queer hour story hour. Leave the children alone. No pervert agendas.
This video is so horrible, I stopped barely 20 seconds in. I got the link from a Christian homeschooling site, and I have no idea how it got there. My son, Leo, is learning about treating nature with kindness and respect, and the trees being cut down at the beginning was a terrifying sight to see for my little innocent child. I will no longer be reading the tall tale to my son, and will stick to scripture reciting. This video does not follow the rules of Christ. All the poor souls that have seen this video, I am deeply sorry. Amen.
Ah... the old classic cartoons and films. Brings back childhood memories.
Thanks, I saw this as a kid. Wow can't believe I'm seeing this again

style, done ENTIRELY in rhyme! I remember watching

But Rankin-bass can RUIN them.

This is my 1st time actually watching this in its entirety! I was born in 1986 so I wasn't too familiar with it. The legendary giant!

Because this was made by Rankin Bass, whereas the 58 version is done by Disney, if I recall correctly

Paul Bunyan the American Kiaju.
I was looking for the music not the cartoon - _ -,
I just watched the whole cartoon and was disappointed by the end. How can he be called a folk hero if he loses?
If you watched the whole cartoon, then you should know he doesnt lose. Lol
@@johnnyfuture3524 This was the first time in years that I had seen the cartoon, so I had forgotten the ending.
