Thanks for watching SoloFamGangArmyWarriors! Hope you liked this episode and the origins of Paul Bunyan! I had a lot of fun during the research portion of this one. I thought it was hilarious/awesome that our boy Paul may have actually been a real dude AND that the stories about him basically served as a gentle hazing for greenhorns in the woods 😂 Learning that simple camaraderie between “blue collar” workers gave birth to an American legend is one of the many reasons I love the series. Don’t forget to comment YOUR thoughts down below along with any recommendations you have for future episodes!

I’m a 6th generation logger. I grew up hearing all the Paul Bunyan stories in logging camps from Canada to North Carolina. My Grandpa even loved to tell the new guys that he had worked for Paul’s grandson when he started and had “Bunyan” carved on his ax handle as proof the he had got the ax from his grandson.
That sounds cool. Being a logger sounds like an interesting profession, as is listening to the stories as they would have originally been told. Like listening to a bard sing the Iliad in Greece.
