I cannot thank you enough, as a crocheter who has been too intimidated to actually start a knitting project, this is so in depth and detailed, I'm so excited to start my first knitting project
Crochet boyly here... even if I don't wanna knit a sweater (I'm knitting a sweater vest rn) your voice is actually so soothing to just listen to- time to binge watch so much :)
Thank you so much. This is perfect teaching. I was going to give up trying to knit a sweater, with much regret, but you just gave me hope that I can do it if I follow your perfectly explained instructions. You are an angel. I started a blanket, so for now I will focus on it, but when I am ready to give another try to a sweater, I will refer to your video.
I was literally about in tears trying to find a knit sweater tutorial I could follow 😭 I’m still a knitting beginner and struggle to follow a written pattern. So glad I found your video!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hi Ikoxun. I absolutely love this knitted sweater tutorial. I am a crocheter and tried knitting decades ago but couldn't grasp it. After watching your tutorial, I'm ready to give knitting another try!😊 I love the way you explain everything in detail. Please keep the tutorials coming! I wish you continued success! 🎉❤
You need to be recognized more because of the things you are doing. I have been searching for hours for a tutorial on how to knit and this is the only video that taught me and gave me everything I need to know. Thank you keep doing what you’re doing.❤️❤️❤️❤️
wow so glad I come from a crochet family its so much easier and faster even with a G hook to make a sweater lol I did manage to knit a poncho from my hand spun alpaca years ago : ) This was fun to see come together you knit so well!
AHHHH!! I'm so glad you made this video! I really enjoyed your legwarmer video you made a while back they are always so easy to understand and well explained so I'm super glad you made a sweater one! Spoiling us with all these uploads thank you Ikoxun!
i've literally been looking for a good video on knitting as a beginner and this is perfect!! i have been crocheting for over a year now so i feel like i'm finally ready to take on a knitting project so this is extremely helpful! thank you!!
Thank you so much for this video. It’s by far the best one I’ve come across. I appreciate you sharing all your knowledge with us, I always enjoy your content. Thank you!
I literally just started learning how to knit again (as a crocheter) and have been wanting to knit a sweater. This is absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to get my new yarn and needles home so I can start knitting :D
I have a few sweaters i want to make for myself this autumn and winter, so this came in just at the right time! Thank you for putting so much time and effort into this!🥰
You can try holding 2 strands of yarn. I didn't know it was a thing, but it changed my crafting life! Also, it is hard to tell that there are 2 strands in the finished product
yess chunky yarn is easier since it works up a lot faster. Plus what Cararina said is a great recommendation! holding two strands will make your yarn bigger and help it work up faster
You’re my favourite content creator. You always put so much time in your videos and it shows. I’ve been trying to knit and having a hard time, so this video showing up is amazing. Thank you
oooh i’ve been wanting to knit a sweater and this is exactly how i imagined it to be for my first time. i don’t think i’m quite ready for a raglan sweater yet
excellent tutorial! For the duplicate stitch section, I find that sometimes, using double strands instead of single can help eliminate the white space. It gets a bit tricky while estimating how much to pull, but the thickness works well to make the contrast color stand out.
You and so many other young women are so good. as I’m 63 years old and I’m a newbie knitter and I love it but this just looks impossibly hard I need to be taken to step by step
Thank you so much😊. The one I'm making right now is just going to be a striped sweater, but the one that I've always wanted to make is going to have a sunflower design on it.☺
do you have a favorite brand of interchangable needle set? this video made me realize that the only thing holding me back from knitting sweaters is not having the right needles.
the brand i use is Lykke ! my friend gifted me those but since they’re pretty expensive i’d recommend getting a set from amazon . Here’s the Lykke link www.lykkecrafts.com/
Awesome, i just jumped into knitting 12 days ago, started socks got bored by the foot part, now im starting my dogs sweater, my logic is if I can do a dogs sweater I can graduate to a human sweater
Could I ask, what's the benefit of casting on like this? Is it functionally any different from the long tail cast on method where you make the loops by holding the yarn in a triangle shape with your thumb and index finger and working the needle through? I'm really curious if it's a matter of preference or if one method is stretchier/sturdier/etc.
OMG, I love you. This was a really helpful video 💜💜 I do have a question tho. In the collar and for the end of the arms, why do you have to skip spaces?? Thank you so much for the video, you're one of my favorite youtubers and my fav when it comes to knitting and crocheting
I wonder if you could pre plan where the graph is supposed to go and knit that section of the sweater with the same base color of your graph to reduce the other colors showing through? at that point tho I guess you might as well just knit the graph on.
Idk if you take requests, but i would love if you could make a crochet/knitting video for pet outfits and accessories for the holiday season! Im wanting to make a sweater for my chihuahua/papillon mix! Btw, love you videos! Im currently making my first sweater! ❤
First off all thank you for this nice video exactly when I needed this for starting something for Xmas presents😂❤ I like your explaining and showing everything but I don't understand what you do with the excess yarn like when you knitt the sides together or make the design like weave it in? But that would get loose sometime or not? 😅 Haha OK I wrote this and then u said it already😂thankss
Thank you for this nice tutorial 😊 I didn‘t get the shoulder, when you worked on the first shoulder was the other still on your cable but you actively didn’t work on it?
(Sorry if this is hard to understand, English is not my first language) Hello ! I follow your content for a long time but never commented, i wanted to thank you for all your work !! You are always so creative and chill it’s almost asmr to me ! I crochet since 2022, and i tried knitting before but it was making me insane. Now that i watched this and you guide for knitting I feel ready to give it a second shot ! I noticed that your needles are small and I can’t find this type of needles on the internet (probably because i don’t know how it’s called), could you give me the reference please ? Because I think that the long needles are part of why I hated it since I am verry small it was difficult to hold.
Newbie knitter here… are cables necessary for this project? I just got a bunch of needles for Christmas, but they’re longer needles and didn’t come with cables, idk if I could even attach cables to them.
that cheat for long tail cast-on yarn estimation was actually life changing, i'll be using that forever for everything i do for the rest of my life.
I just started learning how to knit as a crocheter!! Cant wait to knit my first sweater using this video as a guide ❤❤❤
Same!!! ❤❤❤
Right this video was so easy to follow!

This is literally the BEST sweater tutorial I’ve watched! Thank you!!
Gonna go make one rn thank youuu!! Please make a cardigan tut next plss!!
Chunky yarn looks so easy to work with. For some reason, there is only small yarn in my town and I have to do all of my projects with 4mm needles.
You can try holding 2 strands of yarn. I didn't know it was a thing, but it changed my crafting life!
Also, it is hard to tell that there are 2 strands in the finished product
yess chunky yarn is easier since it works up a lot faster. Plus what Cararina said is a great recommendation! holding two strands will make your yarn bigger and help it work up faster
yep, I might try that since winter is around the corner. Thank you
You’re my favourite content creator. You always put so much time in your videos and it shows. I’ve been trying to knit and having a hard time, so this video showing up is amazing. Thank you
u honestly have the best tutorials ever and ur crocheting pieces from films videos go so crazy. never change!❤

The pumpkin sweater is absolutely beautiful 😻
oooh i’ve been wanting to knit a sweater and this is exactly how i imagined it to be for my first time. i don’t think i’m quite ready for a raglan sweater yet
Best sweater knitting tutorial hands down! Just subscribed ❤
I love the way your design turned out!
excellent tutorial! For the duplicate stitch section, I find that sometimes, using double strands instead of single can help eliminate the white space. It gets a bit tricky while estimating how much to pull, but the thickness works well to make the contrast color stand out.

that peach colour is so pretty! 🥰
Thank you so much😊. The one I'm making right now is just going to be a striped sweater, but the one that I've always wanted to make is going to have a sunflower design on it.☺

I never knitted a sweater before but my sister wants a purple sweater for Christmas. Wish me luck 😀
Fantastic video. So helpful!
I love the detachable circular knitting needles 😭
First time learning how to knit/knit a sweater here we go ✊ (it’s taken me a full hour to do 2 rows of knit and purl 😅)
I only crochet at the moment but you make me wanna learn how to knit so bad 😭😭
Love!!
wow amazing tutorial thank you so much!
Awesome, i just jumped into knitting 12 days ago, started socks got bored by the foot part, now im starting my dogs sweater, my logic is if I can do a dogs sweater I can graduate to a human sweater
Youre so smart dude
🤯 this is so informative
after seeing how a cast-on is done in detail for the first time, crochet starting chains don't seem so bad anymore.
Excellent information
Can you also cast of normally for the cuffs and collar instead of using the tubular cast off?
I thought crocheting was harder than knitting, and now that im trying it out, knitting is definitely harder
FINALLY!!!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR MONTHS!!! THANK TOU SO MUCH (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)❤❤❤❤

can you do a more detailed tutorial on the moon and star sweater? tysm! i love your videos
Do you have a pattern for the blue and white striped crop with red hearts at 0:05??! So adorable!!!!
OMG, I love you. This was a really helpful video 💜💜
I do have a question tho. In the collar and for the end of the arms, why do you have to skip spaces??

Cool 😀
Waiting for a sentro sweater😊
What is a good knitting set to buy, hopefully not too expensive
I found a set on amazon with a ton of needle sizes, stitch counters, scissors, and a tape measurer for 16$
where did you buy your knitting needles?
they were a gift from my friend ! but here’s a website for the brand www.lykkecrafts.com/
Do you have to use different length needles? Or will my project be okay if I dont. Thanks for the amazing videos!
What kind of interchangeable needles are those? They look cool! Also thanks for the tutorial ❤️
Thank you for this nice tutorial 😊
I didn‘t get the shoulder, when you worked on the first shoulder was the other still on your cable but you actively didn’t work on it?

the ones i’m using is called Lykke. they’re pretty expensive, but i also used to use some from amazon [amzn.to/48fHfAv]
When you are doing the pumpkin are you doing cross stich with the black
can you join in the round and work like that with just straight normal needles?
@ikoxun where did you get your knitting needle set with the mix and match circular ends and needles
the only question i have idk if i missed it in the video, why decrease for the shoulders?
Can you do a guide for crochet as well please?, cause I can't find any good quides for crocheting sweaters😭😭
Hey girly , i dont know if you have a video like this for crochet , if not can we please get one? I cant knit to save my life.
Newbie knitter here… are cables necessary for this project? I just got a bunch of needles for Christmas, but they’re longer needles and didn’t come with cables, idk if I could even attach cables to them.
Does anyone know how many skeins of yarn are used for this project? Maybe I'm missing it😮
What is the link to your knitting needles kit!?
Hi can I ask do I need to follow the long tail cast on method for this or can I use other methods as well?
you can use other methods :)
