Brisbane Art Shed has a huge range! But if I'm buying online I tend to go for linen-covered panels.

Oh nice! Yeah I order from them sometimes for our school. I'll have to take an actual visit someday; they're super helpful and have a massive product range 👍 Jess

Would you suggest painting with the canvas upright or horizontal. For these demos your painting surface seems to be horizontal. Does it matter?

Generally speaking, it doesn't matter for "normal" painting. But if you're trying to achieve different effects like dripping, then change how you place your canvas accordingly. We have a student who loves doing huge canvases with thick paint, liquid paints, lots of texture... she will work horizontal or vertical depending on her aim and what she needs the paint to look like at the end.

We've got a really old video on our channel all about making your own canvas boards. A bit of an oldie but a goodie! It's the kind of information that will never get old. Check it out: th-cam.com/video/t8CBUKLM95U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=wW9U8rFDaCp9hWXa 🙂 Jess

I've heard of that store! I think it's American? We don't have it here in Australia ☹ But maybe our best comparison would be a shop here called Spotlight.

*QOTD: Where is the BEST place to get canvas from?* Here in Australia, we tend to go to art shops, Spotlight and sometimes $2 shops depending on the use of the canvas. But tell us in the comments where you go, and that can really help others out 🙂 Jess
