    I actually had to replace my crossbar and 4 gussets on my new to me CHII. Yes, those were overkill like you said hahaha!! But they're there. Nice job man, been enjoying the challenger vids. Hello from TN.

    Don't try to strengthen the nose gear support structure too much, or it will just transfer any landing overloads through the cheap-to-replace support bracketry into the expensive-to-fix longerons! You really want the brackets to fail first! (BTDT!)

      Interesting point. Hadn't considered the landing gear attachment being a structural fuse. :-)

    Just a question but from the steel bracket for the landing gear can you replace the aluminium tube forward ? thanks
