      @thenotsookayguy ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @A S I'm basing my opinion off of Nuages', who played all of the Douze Grandes and shared tonnes of commentry on her performances via subtitles. She considers No. 8 and 10 to be mostly on the same level (9/10 difficulty rating), but she did say that No.8 was a lesser 9/10 than most other pieces they place there. She also expressed far more frustration with the 10th and flat out says it's the most difficult in the set.
      However, it does depend on the pianist, Nuages is admittedly fantastic with jumps and has small hands. The former being great for No. 8 and the latter not mattering as much for the 8th but being a pain if you plan to play the 10th.
      Regarding No. 4, idk I do think of No. 6 being of a greater difficulty than No. 4 as it has a wider range of techniques and difficulties you have to overcome, but I want a player's opinion who have played both, and maybe No. 10, prolly Nuages when she finally gets her piano back, since everyone seems to be requesting that set.

    Traum, I have to tell you, that your recording of my favorite Transcendental etude is something very special for me. Not only you dropped it when I really needed to bright my day, but you did really an amazing job on playing it. You showed me here all the details in melody hidden to my ears until now although I listen to it regularly almost every week. I listened to a lot of different recordings (one of them is the downloaded one in my phone which Is very fast and I have to admit that it's enjoyable when I hurry to somwhere). And I would never expect, that a modern pianist, moreover making TH-cam videos, wouldn't play it as fast as possible, but slowly. This tempo picked by you is just so similar to the tempo of Feux Follets played by actual Liszt's pupil which I recently listened to. So, although it's pretty uncommon to hear it like this, you did a brilliant job as you always do and you showed us again, that you are very special and really proffessional pianist. I simply love you.❤️

    i love the playful interpretation! it's almost like a cartoon how you play it so excitedly and dry (in a good way!) and almost jumpy. it's incredible, i love it!!

    beautiful performance, the fact that you learned this in such a short amount of time is incredible. i hope that you continue to allow us to hear your amazing performances. and i still really want to hear you play the 4. valse oubilie by liszt because i believe that you can make the piece more beautiful than i could ever do. btw i started learning the piece and it would really help if you did a recording so that i could try to improve on my performance, and as always traum you are amazing.

    Amazing skills. That's a beast of a piece. To even identify the notes without real harmony thorugh the hole piece. Brutal. Insanely played. I'm mindblown
