Chris Bounds is simply the best at what he does and he does it with class, integrity, humor and finesse. Thank you Chris for bringing your groove to the Memphis Drum Shop!!!
Stanley Rudolph is a drummer's drummer and elevates any tune he plays on. I am blown away by his musicianship and wish him continued success! Fat back groove in the pocket!

Stanley is such a unique mix of smarts, musicality, humility, technique, chops, and feel. He is such a refined drummer - not trying to impress, but always doing interesting things right at the back of the groove and coming forward only when it sounds right.

Yes!! Stanley Randolph is one of my top tier drummers. But I tell you, Chris makes you want to play, so you can join his fun. His fun is so contagious, he's a younger Bernard Purdie!

Thanks again Chris. I had no idea that Stanley Randolph was from Memphis. I have been watching his videos for years and just like you, he is an awesome drummer. For me, watching you 2 on screen together is like watching 2 legends. Thank you.

I can definitely hear Stanley's influence in Chris's outstanding playing. His MDS demos are the best I've heard anywhere and am completely humbled by his precision, fluidity and musical feel. Now I have to go back and study Stanley's playing. I know he's served on many classics..for years (and yet still looks unbelievably young). I love this style and sadly overlooked it for many years, being a metal head. This is the most fun and funkiest of all styles. Boy I've got work to do. Thank you for reminding me about Stanley and providing the insight into the influence which made Chris so great. You know what they say - if you like a drummer and want to play like him or her, find out who influenced them...got it! Two groove machines right there! Thank you fellows!

Stanley knows how to be FELT not just HEARD. There is a time and place for each, but knowing is half the battle.

Such a humble dude! His skill set is outstanding, but I think that ride that he’s talking about is a concert ride... I played marching band and we had one that we took on the field and we used it in concert band... I could be wrong, that’s what our drum instructor called it...

This guy plays with the sticks glued to his hands. Looks rigid, but he sounds awesome.

His playing style is "intentional". He means to do what he does, when he means to do it!
