One thing that I’ve love to see happening with TfW is more direct trains from Manchester Victoria to Holyhead, especially if these are timed for check-in for ferries to Dublin and for ferry arrivals from Dublin, as a real and viable alternative to flying and air travel across the Irish Sea - I’ve been travelling home to family in Ireland on SailRail for 21 years from where I live in Manchester and I can see a lot of improvements that can be made to the existing SailRail product offering - I’m not even bothered about Express or first class, but any improvements must include direct services, as changing trains enroute is a real hassle at some stations, especially if coming from Platform 13 at Manchester Piccadilly, which along with Manchester Airport, is totally inappropriate as a starting point for these services
I generally don't think trains like197 class are socially exceptable for disabled passengers as we have to be positioned in a wheelchair by a toilet doors at each end of trains carriage are far more exceptable as toilets are not seen as they are positioned when passengers enter the train and separate door into main vestibule area as with the various trains classes 156 158&175 far more appropriate on long distance services
Quite right Robert. I am a wheelchair user and complained several months ago about the lack of a table in the wheelchair space. Apparently, wheelchair users are not supposed to have drinks or use laptops. I am still waiting for an answer from TRW.
