    I liked your analysis of matt stafford, sure he's on a great team with a great coach. but the fact remains, he had his best season in a decade, rose to the occasion in the playoffs to beat the bucs and won the SB with that clutch last drive. So he did exactly what he was supposed to do

His next best seasons, statistically, were arguably 2013 and 2015, where he went 7-9 both years. His two best seasons in Detroit, imo, were 2016 and 2017, as those were his best years without Megatron catching the ball. You forgot the fact that Joe Burrow was playing against a defense that had Aaron Donald, Von Miller and Jalen Ramsey on it. It wasn't just some NFC team they lost to, it was a literal bankrolled super team -- one that basically shutout Brady for almost 3 quarters; not to mention him being in the super bowl during his first full season as a starter anyway -- by leading a team that had like 3 wins the previous season to a division title -- while playing behind an awful offensive line. Burrow is definitely not overrated, he's properly rated at the very least. There are *very very* few 2nd year quarterbacks that have ever reached where Burrow is in terms of both development and accomplishments.

    People have already forgotten that Pat Mahomes got absolutely crushed in the Super Bowl with a bunch of backups on the offensive line. Burrow’s team was also closer to winning it than Mahomes in 2021.
    I don’t think Burrow’s anywhere near as good as Mahomes, but the fact that he took *the Bengals* - by nearly all accounts, the most ineptly-ran franchise in the NFL - to the Super Bowl has to be properly accounted for. It’d be like 2nd-year Stafford taking the Lions to the Super Bowl in 2010 - completely and totally blowing past everyone’s expectations.
    He’s very clearly done enough to warrant the praise, IMO. Burrow has already won more playoff games than Lamar Jackson and is tied with Josh Allen - both of whom have played over twice as long as Burrow.

    • @CdGrifter

      You completely miss the point of what he said. Everyone thinks Burrow carried the Bengals on his back through the playoffs which wasn’t the case. Burrow actually did very little getting his team through the playoffs. Their defense deserves the majority of the credit. They were also incredibly lucky to win against the Titans, and the Chiefs. Those are games they lose 9/10 times. Burrow is getting too much praise for the playoff run where he played average at best for the most part

    Next time you do an Overrated, underrated, properly rated:
    Big Mac. Me personally think that it is overrated. If you bite it it has all the insides get pushed out, and it makes a giant mess and the meat doesn’t taste as good as the flame broiled Burger King meat. I bought both and ate them after each other, and I came up with Burger King whoppers better.
    Seth Curry: I feel like he’s always overshadowed by his brother.
    Pre-marital sex: I wanna know if how you think about it and if you think it’s overrated, underrated, and properly rated.
    Donovan Mitchell vs Jamal Murray *rivalry*: I wanna know if you think it’s overrated, underrated, or properly rated. I know there playoff matchup in the bubble was really good, but does it really deserve all that hype? (I would say yes, but you’re the expert.)

    Rodgers only played bad in the playoff THIS year was literally the first game in playoff history he has scored under 20 pts

    • @TheAndyk123
      @TheAndyk123 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, this year vs San Francisco was the first playoff game of Rodgers career where you could make the argument that the loss was actually his fault. In 2020 he outplayed Brady by a lot, but the defense shat the bed in the first half and Jones's fumble inside their own red zone basically sealed the game, and Rodgers still nearly won it. The previous years against San Francisco (3x), Atlanta, and Arizona, the Packers were seriously outgunned and had no business even being in those games in the first place. They only even made it that far to those games because Rodgers did something absolutely heroic in the games prior to get them there. The Seattle game was blown by special teams, coaching, and the OT coin flip. The defense let up like 50 points to Eli Manning in that divisional round game against the Giants.

    Titans fan here so of course going to be biased but sooo many people including an overwhelming majority of Tits fans are screaming for Tannehill to get out after last season. Personally I would say he's underrated because everyone wants to blame him without taking note of the fact he had average/below average pass protection and a bag of peanuts to throw to. I'm excited for him to hopefully ball out this season with a chip on his shoulder but we'll have to see. Keep up the great vids Barry!

    • @food_toobs8333
      @food_toobs8333 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tbf to both, they’ve had some TERRIBLE coaching to deal with (many times that has cost them games even when Dak/Kirk put them in a position to win). I’m not saying they’re both elite at all, but definitely not bad QBs as some would love to tout. I do think they’re very similar, and are top 15 QBs, which is a good thing in this league. We’ll see what Kirk can do with a coach who actually likes him, and (maybe) Dallas could get Sean Payton to help Dak. Cheers

    Bru burrow made plays happen when he had no time and no pocket anything the offense amounted was all because of burrow buying time sliding up sliding out of the pocket. And the last 4th down for the Bengals he was instantly grabbed by Donald and still managed to get the ball within range if perine who in my opinion didn't put much effort into catching that. Bet Mixon does

    I actually agree about Mac Jones. He was in the best possible situation last year with McDaniels, Belichick, a good defense, a great run game, and a solid Oline. He didn't have great weapons, but he had enough to make do.
    People talk about him like he's already Brady though, and that's absurd. I saw the flashes of what he *could* be last year, but let's not pretend like he was incredible. He was just pretty good.

    The joe burrow hype has been real but tbf he clutched in the playoffs when he needed to outside the end of the Super Bowl where von miller crushed his leg immobilizing him. He came up huge in every game at various moments and I think that’s more of the hype than him throwing for say 400 yards and 5 tds in a game which he didn’t etc…
