    This isn't getting as much credit as it should be. A full scale weapon with it's transformation

      You're welcome. You're talent in being able to make this is really amazing

      I like to think that anyone can do this, with a little direction, and a lot of willpower.

      @ratman5858 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I, too, believe that. If I get enough materials, I might even try making replicas myself

      I believe in you. Do you have a project in mind?

  • @asbestosfish_

    I’m thinking of making something like this. But with electromagnets.
    Run an electrical current through a couple of them with some cables wiring them together, the magnets lock together, it becomes a whip from Elon musk’s wildest wet dreams, manipulate or kill the current, you’ve got yourself a cane made out of solid ferromagnetic material and is, in my scientific opinion, _kickass._

    • @AceOfThrowingCards
      @AceOfThrowingCards  6 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Yeah that would be great, I think for there to be a strong enough electromagnet you'd need a car battery. Maybe you could keep that in a bag and make yourself a cane/whip that's also electrified like whiplash in iron man 2. Be sure to send me the video when you use it to cut a car in half.

      AceGadgets
      I don’t think a half dozen magnets would require too much power. A couple tazer batteries should work just fine.

      Haku The Killer
      Other projects caught my eye before it could get too far out of the conceptual, and I vastly underestimated the cost of the parts, sorry.
      Would still like to keep it mothballed, though, so maybe one day.

    Use some kind of mechanism that retracts when you wip it so it pulls back together, then have a lock on every "blade" so they stay together

    • @AceOfThrowingCards
      @AceOfThrowingCards  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I like the idea, but it would have to be 10 feet of cable, and I would have to store that somewhere. There isn't room though. Maybe if I had a cable the size of fishing line I could put it in the handle, but that wouldn't be strong enough. Have you seen part 3, I've made improvements to the whip. You might like it.

    Are you KIDDING me?? Not only did you make an amazing threaded cane replica, it actually TRANSFORMS INTO A WHIP??? You give yourself WAY too little credit!

    The Threaded Cane, after reading from a comment on one Bloodborne video (I think it was a moveset video about this weapon), was what carried me through all the enemies & bosses, including the ones in the DLC. Though I made a character who’s mostly leveled in Skill and Arcane, I mostly used Skill because that’s what this weapon scales with, and I didn’t have an Arcane Blood Gems on my person because I sold all the Blood Gems that would otherwise decrease a weapon’s attack power. Regardless, the Threaded Cane in-game, and your version of the Threaded Cane irl, both look incredibly bitchin’!

    The Threaded Cane durability test will be uploaded within two weeks of today. I need to film one last thing then editing will be completed. If I'm really good I'll have it up by Friday sometime.

    Great video. Can't wait to see the test video.

    • @AceOfThrowingCards
      @AceOfThrowingCards  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm glad you're looking forward to it, but I must admit it will be delayed. Between work and college I only have time for one build. Right now that all my focus is on a motorized rope ascender for climbing. I'm making very good progress on that and if the design is successful it will be my next upload.
      Another reason it will be delayed is because I have a really good idea of how to film the first test. Bloodborne has a really good in game camera for manipulating perspective. My goal is to replicate the sweeping camera shots that can be done effortlessly by players moving the right control stick. I think with a simple support structure I can get some amazing filmography.
      The first test is simply me smashing a cinder block with the threaded cane. That would take no time at all for me to film and upload. The old me would've done that by now, but now I try to make my videos by a new philosophy. "No one will remember if it comes out late, but everyone will remember if it comes out bad." So that's why I'm reluctantly pushing back the date and I'm going to take my time on editing.
