I did this retrofit 2day. As well as the cabin filter clean while I was at it. Also changed the l/r headlight outer front lense last week. Many other things as well. All thanks to your videos. Thanks for all your clear explanations and hard work. Legend.
Nice work! im so glad you got it all done using my videos buddy makes me so happy

U r the best man you explain everything so well im confident i can get this done on my car as well
Im super jelly when i see the new model with that light.. i have the cut outline for it and an extra wire plug inside the mirror but i dont have it at all.. im for sure going to try and get them and install they look great.
That was so fresh... the puddle light was so bright...i love it...wish you could do it for me ...hehe...im definitely gonna do this mike ..thanks for showing us how to
10 outta 10 100% excellent stuff ...loved it
Thank you so much for the great instruction. I successfully installed works beautifully!

Very helpful video
Ambient light next plzz
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 thanks Mikey
Great stuff Mikey. I am definitely going to add those lights to my cars. While i do that would like to know if there is a possibility to add the folding mirrors as a retrofit job. One of my cars does not have them and would be nice to do it while the mirrors are taken apart. Thanks for another great video. Keep it up.
yes u can u just have to retrofit.the module.for it and 0pactivate it via a star diagnostic tool so the car can recognise the folding feature ... thanks for the suppport
Hell yeah 🤙🤙🤙🙏👍
Me gusta mucho el vídeo yo lo voy hacer también pero podrías haber llevado los cables de la luz de las puerta de cortesía sin tener que meter los cables hasta dentro del habitáculo
how pls elaborate so i know for future reference
im always up for learning new things
Mike just to ask if my mirrors have the bsd fitted do i need to remove my side mirrors and connecrors
I already have puddle lights as I have the facelift and I did change mine to LEDs a while back using another TH-camrs video and my god was it difficult, the way you showed was much easier and quicker to do, don't know why others don't use the method you showed to change to LEDs
ye i know very simple .... ppl just do things differently ..but im glad my way looked easier
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ your way is definitely easier, let's just say when I followed the video I only did the driver's side and gave up as it took me an hour to change one led, the method shown in the video I followed didn't match mine for some reason, after seeing this video im going to do passenger side now that I know I can just drop the bottom easily and change! Thanks!
Still want a part 2! 🤯😆
🔥👌♥️🔥💯🆒️
Nice video and very detailed. If you need any wiring or mechanical diagram for your car let me know
cool buddy thanks... did you buy the WIS cd or download it?? usually thats where you get the info from
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ I am mercedes technician so I have got all i need such as WIS,ASRA ,DAS/XENTRY and star finder
oh o see thats great mate appreciate the thought i just might need the fill wis if thats possible
Hi do you instead have the diagram of the passengers cortesy ligth... I would like try to get the power from the front... If no I really appreciate if can you send me the rear diagram christiansantoro@hotmail.com
Nice video! Just wonder how you do so the lights are not on while driving? Because they drain power freely it seem logic that they are on when the ignition is on?
ok so thats why i connected it to the dome lights ...becuz the dome lights work in a way so that they do not operate whilst u drive... becuz it would look funny if the dome light was on wen u drive
Does anyone have the MB part # for the bottom cover which already has the cutout and the clip for the light? I have a 2015 GLA250 (x156) with heated mirrors that don't fold-in automatically. Thanks!
hi when removing the mirror, mine has blind spot assist and auto dimming, other than the heating and the auto dimming line is there one for the blind spot assist? I'm afraid of trying and ripping the wire
just watch for wires wen u remove the cover and u will be ok
Anyone done this correctly with coding and 2 pins insert into connectors ? I am thinking that would be even easier job if possible and more real. Because when you light up interior light when driving mirror puddle light will also turn on which I do not like.
The correct way to retrofit side mirror puddle light is wire the light to door module.
For those W204 prefacelift should replace latest door modules,
You can find those on ebay in low price.
Then do coding in car, puddle lights will work exactly the same way as facelift W204.
good tip ..thanks for sharing
Do you have a part number?

You know bro,,, the next mod I am looking forward is the navigation screen upgrade. Yes! The navigation screen upgrade. I think that is one of the few areas untouched :)
do u mean the larger android screen for the w204? that is the one i didnt want as i already have mp3 dvd cd and phone mirrorlink
MIKEYZ VLOGZ yes exactly what I was trying to say. I also really like the oem flipping screen style. I am not really a fan of that fixed wide screen in the middle. So what type of setup do you have? Please...
@@juancarlosmariano5304 i have the flip up with mirrorlink phone mirrorlink via wifi smartview... becuz we already have mp3 and dvd and cd and navigation its all i need to play whatever on my phone through the flip up screen
MIKEYZ VLOGZ sorry bro for being naive. But do you still have the oem flipping navigation screen, or did you replace it with an aftermarket one? In my case, the only thing that I can connect on my navigation screen is my phone for calling purposes. Nothing else. No music, no video etc... I want to play music and watch vid or even mirror my iphone on that navigation screen. But how? What things or items I need to purchase and install?
@@juancarlosmariano5304 it gets exspensive
you can now.buy a kit that will allow you to connect your phone and mirror phone and even watch videos pff your phone and play music ... it cost about 800 aud ... mine was done along time ago... i have a video interface module and wifi mirrorlink device and video in motion device too... and i connwcred wverything to my car with help of a shop and now i have all that
Hey Mikey have you by any chance replaced your footwell lights? If so are they blinking like mine after I have installed LEDs?
yes they did blink u need to just use canbus ones and it won't blink
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ thank you sir
I couldn't find part 2 on Ur Chanel
I never did part as yet didn't feel it was needed... but I will get around to it
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ K I see ...very helpful plz keep it coming
hi mikey, I didn't find the second video...what is it?
haven't done it yet as ppl didn't need it but I might do it
Mike you Are Really the best!! Just a question...why did you connect the puddle ligth from the rear sit cortesy ligth? From the driver sid is not possibile... I m asking this because My w204 doesn t have your system light in the back... I have a single light... Thank in advance
becuz it waa a hassle to find the wires i wanted and the back was much easier .... if your front dome light fades u can conmect it to that... just make sure u find the schematics and use the right wires .....in the video i also stated that accorsing to the schematics it wasnt fading in and out like i wanted so i just went to the back after a trial run and it was perfect ..so settled for the back instead plus heaps of room and easy peasy
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ thank you so much for the fast answer!! I Really appreciate it
@@christiansantoro398 nonworries mate
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ the wires you used where come from? Are they come from the front sits ligth system where actually you manage also the rear sit ligth
@@christiansantoro398 hmmmi dont understand what u mean ..pls rephrase your questionnand ill answer
Try
Is there any way that you can install them with the door lights and no error or voltage drop shows up in cluster? Also when you turn on your rear dome light does that also turn on the puddle lights? Thanks
there are no errors relating to the fitments of these puddle lights ... and no wennu turn on your rear dome lights it doesn't turn on the puddles... that would look funny lol.. so I made sure it didn't do that
Thanks a lot for your swift reply. But I actually don’t want them with my dome lights. I only want them to turn on or off with my door open or closed. Is there any chance you can show that in another video. Thanks
@@AbhishekAbhishek-bq8yj if u just want them to turn on with doors u could connect them to the door lights.. the welcome light on your passenger and driver door... if u have them..some coupe don't have them
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ I have door lights, and i have checked that the puddle lights work fine by hooking them up in the door light connector. The only problem I have now is that I don’t know how to run the wire from inside the door panel and will it melt the wire if I hook them up with the door light wire. I cannot upload the pics here to make it clear what I am trying to say. Thanks
And many thanks to the rear view camera video with rectifier installation. I have ordered one and installed it the same way. Works fine many thanks.
man, this is oomuch for me
Mikey... I'm not be able to find the second part!!
hey bud the second ńasnt been done just yet ...
Do you have workshop manual in this vehicle please sent me ?
ask the guy in the comment section who told me he has it ... i dont have anything like that im self taught and i learn througj videos and research
Btw, where is part 2? 😁
havent got around to... but all the info needed is in this part 1 but i will be dping the part 2 shortly. just with work and the pandemic is so restrictive in australia now its been hectic
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ awesome 🤑🤑😎🤠
You should just take power from fuse box no need to run the wite all the way back
i did that so the puddle lights will sync with the interior lights as well, wen u open and close the doors lock and unlock the car ..it will sync perfectly, but yes u can do that too ... u may just need to use a resitor or relay so u can control wen uget power according to how u want the led to work , if its constant then your puddle lights will work all the time ..if its switched it will only work wen u turn the key to acc, hence why i used the rear dome light becuase that exactly how i wanted my puddle lights to function ..
