A 22 year old that listens, works hard and pays attention make sure you give this kid a good annual raise and you will be able to keep him around, they are extremely hard to find
Dennis. When I was a young man in the late 70's I was seeing this girl, who's dad had an absolutley cherry 1969 XKE convertible. The color was willow green with black interior. It doesn't get better than that in my book. We took the Jag out one night on the back country roads of Northern Virginia. She let me drive.I was going very fast,( because that's what you do,right ?) Going out on these very hilly roads, I got the car air born. (that's what you don't do). I didn't wreck the car , but sure made a wreck out of her. She drove us home and that was the end of date. You sure made a lucky find there my friend.
Loving the barn find videos - Thank you! How about some follow-up videos that document the cleanup and restoration processes. It will be nice to document the whole story of finding, cleaning, restoring, and selling the car.
My dad has a 2014 F150 pick up crew cab four-wheel-drive XLT it looks like brand new he cleans that he washes it all the time keeps a polish he appreciates your program that's why he watches it all the time
Love how Dennis doesn’t haggle or beat the seller down on price, unlike gas money’s Richard.i stay in Scotland and there’s a restorer next to my house and his shop is full of e types, old xk’s and Porsche’s.
Carry a package of long zip ties and you can roll up your excess strap and zip tie it back to the strap itself. Years of specialized flatbed trucking taught me that trick.
They are 2+2+1 really 😊 when I was a kid, my brother and sister would sit in the back seats and I would sit in the boot with the dog. 130mph down the M5 motorway with my Mum screaming at my Dad to slow down 🤣
I had a '65 4.2 Etype Roadster 40 years ago. The Etype has the most beautiful lines of any car ever made. I can only imagine what that car would be worth if I had it today.
100 ft of cable is a good starting point i like to have anothwr 100ft of cable with loop ends teady for shackes (Dcleets )great find travelled 100s of miles in the back of a 2+2as a child many memores of how good the acceleration as well as the brakes lets see this one at various stages nice job denniss and team of course
I just love what a terrific dad you seem to be. And schlepping your kids along with you. Yeah. Make them work. For all those years you spent money raising them. Smart man! This is the way to do it! Okay kids. Daddy is starting a TH-cam channel. You're hired! Now don't screw up. Otherwise it's no sushi and McDonald's instead. And then maybe they will learn? Way to go! Jag You Are! RemyRAD
I have a soft spot for British sports cars. It's a shame the All British Car Day was canceled at White Rock Lake this year. I hope you post updates on the progress of this "barn" find.
My new favorite youtube channel. When I was about 14 my dad's best friend had a new convertible XKE. I got to ride in the passenger seat with the top down and it was such a thrill. This hard top is just as exciting of a car. Thanks Dennis & Kelsey!
Dennis Just found your video's And realy enjoyed this one ,I am in the UK. and drove a 1968 "E"type for my old Boss brought back many memories (including feet marks above back seat !!!!!!! YES PLEASE AS Calvin said follow up .P.S great work camera work .by your daughter NO out of focus Thank you.
Awesome work on finding this beautiful car, one of the most elegant designs on a car I think. It would be great to see how this car looks when finished. Awesome work. 👍
Me and my dad think you got an awesome program we watch you a lot we like watching you and your daughter I'm trying to get him one of your mechanic shirts
Might want to think about getting a roll of pallet wrap. It will keep the doors, trunk, and hood closed and everything inside the car while protecting the whole car.
I watched a 6’7” man climb out of one of these cars in a Kodak parking lot back in the ‘70’s. What an unusual sight. His legs had to go all the way to the front bumper.
“We’ll go anywhere in the world for a car” MUCH RESPECT most people won’t travel 500miles for a car!! Love the work you guys are doing please make a restoration series!
I really hope Alex realizes what true priveledge it is to be on these. Grabs with DC is?? Probably the best jeep guy at least in this hemisphere and truly respected car guy overall he is.Alex is in an great position to be at the elbow daily with a Dennis Collins.Im sure the young man does!! All that knowledge on a personal and daily basis on great vehicles. Absorb and retain young man, perfect position for a young guy coming up . Im an Veteran so sometimes my vernacular here might come off as weird but golden oppurtunities like Alex has rarely comes around even once in a lifetime. As usual Mr Collins just love youre work
Dennis looks like the Brains and the Brawns today! Sounds like the car was the Mistress and Madam banished the car to the garage never to see daylight until today! Full resto required but looks all there and solid project for the enthusiast. Not sure that guy knew the word “bonnet”..! Mine was like that condition and I spent $60,000+ (equivalent) making it a good looking car again. ( the cars were less than $4000 new).
Thanks, interesting retrieval’s of Cars.......Interestingly, seen even more old/ possibilities/fields/barns/stored cars and trucks her in MONTANA.....ACTUALLY *quite a bunch of yard/Field/stored Cars around here in Lewis & Clark County ( Helena Valley)...
Damn, I should've called you 3 years ago. My Father passed, and we sold his 67 XKE to Alex Manos, out of CA. It was rough, but not as bad as the one you and Richard got from MN.
A 22 year old that listens, works hard and pays attention make sure you give this kid a good annual raise and you will be able to keep him around, they are extremely hard to find
Dennis PLEASE restore this car and take us along as you do it. I so want to see it back to original condition.
I hope he does! I will stay for the entire series
Noooooo! Wash it, get it running, fi the window, drive it.

Great find. Love that you are so respectful of a British icon. Love to see this again once you are finished restoring.
I thought you would have emptied the boot. Great video thanks Trev UK.
My dad has a 2014 F150 pick up crew cab four-wheel-drive XLT it looks like brand new he cleans that he washes it all the time keeps a polish he appreciates your program that's why he watches it all the time
I am not the only one who thinks having a series of shorter videos on the cars that you rescue documenting the progress would be amazing.
Love how his daughter is a sponge for information,Dennis is teaching her all that knowledge
We will go anywhere in the world for a car! Dennis is the best!!
Love how Dennis doesn’t haggle or beat the seller down on price, unlike gas money’s Richard.i stay in Scotland and there’s a restorer next to my house and his shop is full of e types, old xk’s and Porsche’s.
FULL of e-types...yep.
I know everyone us here for the car but look at all those old coleman lanterns at 3:55!!!! Restoring old lanterns is one of my hobbies.
Carry a package of long zip ties and you can roll up your excess strap and zip tie it back to the strap itself. Years of specialized flatbed trucking taught me that trick.
What a beautiful machine. What a colour.
They are 2+2+1 really 😊 when I was a kid, my brother and sister would sit in the back seats and I would sit in the boot with the dog. 130mph down the M5 motorway with my Mum screaming at my Dad to slow down 🤣
Great story..same with our 67 2+2+ my ass in the front passenger seat...remember the smell of brit leather in that thing, ours was a ugly Gold color.
Thanks Dennis for sharing! I hope you will do another video about what you will do for the car before it leaves your shop!!!
We will! We plan on having her cleaned up and running by the end of the week
DC is living the Dream 👍Bravo and have a happy 4th of July 🇺🇸
Father and daughter working together, that’s cool and I hope I have that type of relationship with my daughter 👍

Enzo Ferrari called it the most beautiful car.
I sold my e type roadster biggest regret ever!!!
I am anxious to see how this car cleans up. It has only 22,000 miles and has not been out in the sun. This is a tremendous find!
Dennis another very cool find! I hope you show it being brought back to life!
I loved your excitement at the end. I could almost feel it with you. I've always loved the thrill of the hunt as much as actually owning the car!
Holy Grail? Awesome find, Dennis!!
What neat little funky doors.
Dennis gets so fired up i love it

I have to agree the E type was and still is one of the best looking cars around
I've always liked the E Type 2+2 Jaguar's since watching the film Silver Streak with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor.
I have a soft spot for British sports cars. It's a shame the All British Car Day was canceled at White Rock Lake this year. I hope you post updates on the progress of this "barn" find.
Very amazed on Dennis's knowledge on all types of cars. Always interested in what is coming up on the next episode.

Love these rescue videos.
My moms friend had one. Last time saw it was late 70's it was yellow. Was told it was a 2+2 and hada v12 and a bar in it.
Great find! Best of British!! It's not all bad here!!😆
Love that you correctly called it a ‘bonnet’, Dennis!
Love this stuff. Good honest video, no messing around to fill time or be silly.. thanks Dennis and crew...

Amazing what’s hidden away in the neighbor’s garage!
To make an app ignition key is very interesting. I made keys to a 100C in mint condition.
Another great episode! I love XKE Jags! ❤️
Awesome score Dennis
