  • Adam and I take 9 days off work to push the limits of our self restored and maintained 50 year old cars.
All the way from the north west of the United Kingdom to the black forest in Germany and back.
2 blokes, 2 classic cars, 2 tents, spare parts and no plan.

So there is still an intermittent knock from centre of the engine that comes and goes, and ive just adopted the “if it still works, drive it!” Mantra at the moment haha. When i have the van up and running i will most likely pull the engine out and either repair it or swap in the spare ive got lying around.
      Thanks for watching!

@@budgethomeclassics you now thinking about when you took valve covers of that engine thinking you said it was land rover engine or American can’t remember. Anyways if the pushrods don’t spin when you turn them then maybe there gunk in them and sometimes not getting lubricated with oil. Have you tried ATM fluid and just let engine idle no revs if cleans really good because of the detergent additive. I did that with a jag engine few year ago and it was like brand new inside after running atm I took apart the oil filter and it was jam packed with shit plus after removing drain plug slugs came out. Just a thought.
