The clear speed comment is important. Lots of people complaining about low clear speed/mobility and missing out on the potential of stuff like Expedition.
I'm also farming town squares and I'm liking escaped experiment, it's right there, the random metamorph can be pretty juicy since the map has 3 bosses and it doesn't really require further investment
Nice video. Didn't even know that killing the map bosses changes the Eater of worlds altar behavior. One thing that was not mentioned is that there are remnant mods which have as a "downside" mod "50% increased magic/rare monsters" which is really nice too.
The thing about "runic monsters are duplicated" - that mod placed in "monster mods" instead of "reward mods". So yeah, you would never notice it, if you just choose rewards without checking whether mobs have dangerous mods or not.
I almost always see the monster mods and the reward mods unless theyre somewhere offscreen and i clip that, saw 2 runic monsters are duplicated, one in maps and one in around 140~~ logbooks
I love expedition. U can do it on maps,then u got logbooks,then u can gamble if u want or craft with Rog some crazy shit. and yeah,u dont need zoomy build to do that. Thats also nice. Overall ,great vid 👍
I will say make sure you are using all you burial medallions yourself (at least untill you are out of the vendor currency for dannig). This is because each of them will get you somewhere between 3-6 of either astragali or exotic coins and has a fair chance (~5-10% in my experience) to have a logbook. So they pay themselves almost every roll and then give you more logbooks to sell

Ive been farming cementery for the chance of getting Brother’s stash and so far ive gotten one. Im doing expedition and also harvest just because its a mechanic i enjoy and usually profit alot with aswell. Ive already gotten 3x 6L this league so expedition, eater of world, harvest nodes and some other stuff i great for this imo! Thanks for a nice video and keep doing what you are doing!

I think the law of averages needs to apply! I may not get a logbook every map, but I would almost always receive enough expedition reroll currencies on average to profit greatly.
I also faced the same problem. I'm using an improved version of this method, and it seems to me I'm having a hard time getting money back. It seems that the developers have done something with this method
ok i have on huge problem how did u only spend 61 vaal orbs and 61 maps when u are running 8 mod maps? Like not every map u vaal turns into a 8 mod map. or did u straight up run some trash maps with 80 quant

As a new player like myself (2nd league playing) this guide is very useful and informative. Simple yet full of knowledge. Thank you for that. Also, would you be willing to make a guide of running the logbook itself and the procedure into running a good one? (Like the split process, increasing and rerolling the stats and etc) couldnt find a guide on that sadly. Would be much appreciated if you are willing to do so.
Not the video maker, but ill give you a quick guide for logbooks *ran around 150 this league* So when you enter a logbook the first thing i look for is increased item quantity of items dropped by monsters remnants, find all of them and try to path your explosives to them immediately, then just take as many runic monster markers as you can, maybe pick up currency chests if theyre on the way, they drop exalts and exalt shards regularly, and if theres a boss activate it AFTER the item quantity remnants, the reason i take item quantity is it makes monsters drop more reroll currencies, if you want more of thise artifacts you spend at them, get number of artifacts remnants instead, but they DONT affect reroll currencies, also best mod on logbook are increased number of runic monsters/number of monsters, i generally only split knights of the sun logbooks

Yep, expedition and blight scarabs are severely underrated currently. Yea at first glance they seem worse than with watchstones, but you can scale them incredibly hard right now. Also get your 5th map device slot man lol.
Ran 100 maps. Expedition adds roughly the "profit" shown in the spreadsheet. I did the second run of 50 maps using the "advanced" Atlas tree only and got less Expedition profit! But non Expedition items made up for it. Did not try the Gilded strat as the Scarabs are now very expensive. Now to run the Logbooks :D Expedition in maps seems very random. No matter what markers you target. Some have great markers and give nothing. Some have bad markers and give loads of currency and Log Books. Check the spreadsheet for the initial costs of runing this strat. They add up fast, 300c for Fortune Favours the Brave, Sextants ect.
It's always rng... You can have amazing markers and get nothing and shit markers with amazing drops. And due to the way our brains work, these are the expeditions you remember... We always think we see a pattern. The truth is, in the medium/long run, the more you juice, the better the results

The Word of Exarch Nodes work for Eater of Worlds Packsize, and I would say that little cluster is mandatory! And I would personally not do Investment Strat 1 with Atlas Tree 2 just because with less investment into Expedition, it is more reliable and feels better/more fun in the map to fight a bunch of other stuff for drops.

Is the map choice just based on the location of the boss at the start? Great video, I was doing expedition a ton and never realized that using Eater of Worlds altars was extremely profitable. Thanks!
You lose out on the "better" Eater of World's Altars because the boss in Cemetary is hard to access immediately to kill, and therefore you can't "block" boss altar options off the bat. However, the tradeoff is of course you get the chance at a big 5ex card which would be dope. It's a preference! I've tried both and still like City Square, also because the layout is easier for my peanut sized brain.
My experience is that remnants with pack size, Inc quantity of rates, Inc quantity of magic, weild better results than Inc quantity of items dropped and Inc quantity of logbooks. Don't have the numbers to prove it though
It seems to me that the strategy got nerfed though. Did about 50 maps a few weeks ago after this video was released and repeated the strategy last week again. I dropped 1 logbook every expedition in median (sometimes 2 sometimes 0) in the first attempt and dropped 1 logbook every 5 expeditions in the 2nd attempt. could've been coincidential but I dont thinks so. too big of a difference.
And can you give a pob for your video? I have about 20 ex in stash but cant stand playing LS anymore so im searching something to reroll to and your build seems really good for expedition farming
You can probably pull his build from poe ninja or in the pob yourself, but it looked like the standard mage skeleton build to me but hes using GMP or MP instead of volley support, i could be seeing things tho

That’s a good question! I believe it would given everything we know. However, the monsters can be so difficult to kill that you may not be able to spare the slots for IIQ on gear.
Good video thx. I have been farming expedition for a few days and get profit BUT. Today i ran 12 maps with gilded scarab ~150 quant and 4 of maps were with void stone for runic monsters. i got 2 logbooks and some reroll currency so i got ~90c profit??? Few days ago i ran all maps with void stone too and no logbooks. A week ago i was running maps with polished scarab and without voidstone and got many logbooks. Maybe i should always run 200 quant and sextanted map but mostly luck plays big role. if u are lucky and got 20 logbooks per 15 maps = mega profit. p.s im dont speak english very well but i conveyed the idea...
Had th same happen here, a small 12 maps with gilded, 3 frags, 8 mod and the sexant for 3 logbooks? not sure how he got so lucky and dropped like 1 every map

I just think this is way to much and no idea how he got suxh crazy results while all my maps had 120+ Quant and 190+ when doing the expedition Also weirdly enough i was extremely unlucky with altar drops that gave +quant even when i went straight for the boss.

same here. i am running cheap method for 2 days already. it is not consistent. i've got like 7-8 logbooks in total. for me is a waste of energy

Thank you! :) Yes, it's just because of easy access to the boss. Then relatively open layout also benefits Expedition, but that isn't a rare trait.

The reroll currency almost always only come from the Runic Monsters. You can get a few from the chests but it's mostly the monsters.
