ur videos never fail to make me smile so big, i assume you’re seeing them live with spirit of the beehive which i’m super jealous of. they were great when i saw them in march, they’re playing a lot of new stuff that isn’t on time skiffs, along with some time skiffs songs, and a handful of old goodies!! i hope you have such a good time, they always put on a great show!!
This was an amazing video and review! If you want more stuff like Royal and Desire listen to Sleep Cycle by Deakin. Sleep Cycle and Person Pitch are tied as my fav anco solo albums its not talked about as much as the other stuff and needs more love!
Dragon Slayer -> Strung with Everything is probably the most refreshing track run I've heard from this year. I love how organic these songs feel (by AnCo standards), it's like being musically hydrated But most of all, I love how the weirdest thing about this album is how NOT weird it is.
Happy you loved the album! They already have the next one recorded and it's being mixed/mastered right now! They said they hope to have it out next year. Have fun at the concert, they are unbelievable live!!
I wonder how hearing this before Centipede and Painting With will affect how you first take in those two. I think this album owes as much to that pair as it does to Feels or Strawberry. Great reaction as always
I agree with a lot of your points in each song, like Dragon Slayer sounding very summer like. This album does sound like a modern Animal Collective, but still animalistic.
would love to hear ur reaction to their live show when u see them!! and also u should react to avey tare’s down there. insane lyrics and production, really dark and sad and swampy :)
I would really like to see you react to Centipede Hz, Painting with, and Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished--although they are more experimental and may take a few listens to really click. They're some of my favorite Animal Collective albums. Also solo albums from the members of the band are great, like Person Pitch, Tomboy, and Cows on Hourglass Pond for example. The band's EPs are really good too. Your visual effects are great and hilarious dude
If you liked the atmospheric harmonic and horn sounds you should seriously consider checking out Talk Talk's last two albums "Spirit of Eden" and "Laughing Stock". I think AC definitely had some inspiration from those two classics on this LP in that respect.
I always look forward to your lil riffs at the beginning and this time it was extra good lmao xD P.s. would love to see you react to Signal Hill’s self-titled ep or really anything by them if you haven’t checked em out already!
I'd like to see what you think about Centipede Hz. I stand by the controversial view that it takes at least 10 listens to get a full grasp on it. It's truly their most demanding album (that's legit good). There's just so much to process.
tbh i reccomend U jus check out the album cover nd see if that interests U it gotta be the best album cover i’ve ever seen in terms of like enhancing how good the music is
youre not the only one who's noticed that. at least it jives with the time theme. besides the fact that that melody is so similar, the rest of the song's elements are super great imo
@@pauldavis7318 I'm more concerened about the fact they dont know that. They made a documentary about traveling to the tropics and riding on a canoe and putting a microphone in the water to record water sounds but they dont know they're ripping off the fucking Westminster Chime.

I'm really excited, and thank you :)
Each anco vid its like you recorded me listening to my favorite band for the first time for me. Thanks! :D

Sleep Cycle is sooooo good
YESS
I also think it feels a bit like Halcyon Digest by Deerhunter even though it’s obviously a completely separate band.

I love the AnCo reactions, I’m also going to be seeing them live pretty soon so I’m also excited about that
Happy you loved the album! They already have the next one recorded and it's being mixed/mastered right now! They said they hope to have it out next year. Have fun at the concert, they are unbelievable live!!
you should do avey tare's solo stuff too like cow on hourglass pond and eucalyptus
I wonder how hearing this before Centipede and Painting With will affect how you first take in those two. I think this album owes as much to that pair as it does to Feels or Strawberry. Great reaction as always
SO late, but I hope you react to Person Pitch by Panda Bear some time soon. Maybe you already know & love it!
I agree with a lot of your points in each song, like Dragon Slayer sounding very summer like. This album does sound like a modern Animal Collective, but still animalistic.
You should definitevely do Fall Be Kind. You're gonna Love It!
Agreed
snowy animal collective era

the intro sound to Car Keys is supposed to sound like a car starting.

言葉はわからないけど、あなたの反応を見るのが大好きです😄
Animal Collective最高!!🙌
need an anco jazz album
Please do Person Pitch by Panda Bear! There’s only one other reaction to that album on TH-cam and the guy only does the first 3 songs
Great review. You should do Person Pitch by Panda Bear next, it's the album that got me hooked up on Animal Collective universe
You should make a video about your thoughts on seeing them live!

I’ve heard Spirit of Eden! I think it’s a fantastic album. I haven’t heard Laughing Stock though so that’s a good idea
Awesome. Love watching your AC journey! I'm most excited to see you listen to Down There by Avey Tare
YASSSS
yo I love ur alex covers!!!!
@@Dripht thank u friend!! 🥰
Please do Isn’t It Now!!!
This is definitely going to happen :)
looking forward to it 🍻

u think its more demanding than hollindagain? CHz is a great record though
@@pauldavis7318 Eh, I mean maybe not, but I think of CHz as a more polished album.
Took a second but this song clicks with me *song ends*
Bro bro bro I'm seeing them live may 13th baby
For the love of god do not skip Centipede Hz. Every single music critic got that album wrong - the fans see it as a classic
You gave the same rating as pitchfork.
Oh god lmao
if U want an interesting reaction check out r plus seven by oneohtrix point never shits explorative af
tbh i reccomend U jus check out the album cover nd see if that interests U it gotta be the best album cover i’ve ever seen in terms of like enhancing how good the music is
Second this.
also just to add to this U would be the second person on all of youtube to react to oneohtrix point never
Dome hepo
bro u skipped all over the bad albums and jumped back in when they made a good album again!!! /s
time skiffs fun :)
I hate We Go Back. It's literally just the Westminster Chime played over and over again and I don't know how I'm the only one who noticed that.

Dude we go back is a BANGER!
The comment section of Wide Eyed is the _only_ time I've seen you say something even remotely positive at all.
