@@Behine.DeChilis I was in Laguna Beach last weekend. I almost got taken to Tampa the first day it was so windy but I was able to work on some pop-ups on some small swells. The water is cold but I think getting in brought the crowd so it was nice. Good times brother keep it real down in Florida. 😎✌️

The smaller boards require you to be in the steeper section to catch them. Harder to catch waves because they’re less floaty, but much more maneuverable when riding.
Wow Great surfing Kelly I think I saw you out at The Point in well you know at CALI Pipeline on a right direction big swell like it was.I was stoked to live local to it for 4-5 years. I am now just over 50 and dont surf like you yet! Still a Gen X Surf Punk and proud and have had some great waves andsome steep and deep powder days snowqboarding but thumbs up to your surfing giving motovation to go BIG and padddle out often. to so many. KEEP GOING!
Opening exchange i'm thinking a pair of 9s. Yes John's wave was bigger (the 2nd wave of the set) but Kelly got more tube time, a longer barrel. They both were super deep, so that factor is about equal. I enjoyed Kelly's ride more, longer ride, plus a sick turn.

At 0:40 sec remaining (when else does KS amaze us) he gets his 10 point ride basically, that he needed. And guess what? I think he won priority. I don't quite get it, how he lost priorty to JJ. He paddled back first, after his closeout. KS nearly won that heat. Wow. JJ was on fire and could have lost still. Amazing. Key point: KS needed that priority! Also JJ was too deep, he wasn't going to make that, he only caught it as a blocking maneuver, to create an interference on KS, to penalize him. Update: so the paddle battle was a tie and priority was taken from KS bc he rode the last wave. Makes sense. I agree their paddling back out was a tie.
On the first exchange John John took the second wave and got back out and got priority, but when Kelly takes the second wave and got back out first they give the priority to John John again.
