Hey, thanks for the informative video. It helped me get my '97 Maxima fan out in about 15 minutes. The only issue you mentioned that I found different was, I absolutely had to take the radiator hose off to get the clearance I needed to get the fan out. Again, thanks! youtube saved me ANOTHER $100 or more in labor costs. ps:NAPA's price for the whole assembly with two motors is $140. A new single motor is more expensive than two motors and the assembly :)
I just change the fan on my Nissan Maxima 1998 really appreciate the video it helped a whole lot feels good to do something on your own and not pay alot of money for 20 minute job
Thanks for making this vid. It was very informative, camera view was very clear. I was able to replace my fan in my car. Everything is running great!! And no more overheating problems!!
Thank you for this step by step video. It helped an estimate of $350 go to a $130 part plus an hour of my time. People - You can do this if you are the slightest bit handy, have a little patience, and about an hour or two of free time.
Thanks so much for this great, clear, video. I'm getting ready to replace the fan assembly on a 2000 Maxima SE in a few days. Anything different with the process for that vehicle? Same sensor situation on the air dam?
Got it in, so thanks. I used a Dorman radiator fan, and I noticed it didn't have the little channel on the driver's side for this little piece that slides on to the edge of the shroud perpendicularly.. There was something there but not the whole length and it seemed broken off, so I just didn't install that piece extra little piece. I have the sensor on the air dam, closer to the front than in your vid, but I could *not* get it out, even after I figured out to press down against the springs in the clamp. Luckily, I could bend the dam up out of the way. That was the only diff from the video, so thanks. My mechanic wanted $130 for labor! Nope.
What is the sensor that you re atttached at the end... reason I'm asking is because my neighbor replaced my fan assembly 2000 Nissan Maxima and my fans are running constantly.. they do not shut on and off like I believe they are suppose to... Thanks
Same here I going to u pull it 36 bucks for this part. Damn pepboys are scammers. My mechanic going to charge me 50 bucks to replace this part yesterday. But I want to fix it myself it's fun
Hey, my left fan is running slow. Car is not overheating but it's running a bit hot. Is it safe to swap the fan harness to see if the left fan runs when connected to the right side harness?
The fans on most vehicles have a low speed & a high speed. You can actually test the high speed. I'll have a video shortly showing how to perform the test. Regarding swapping the harnesses, I don't remember if they will reach. Another option is swapping the fan motors from left to right and seeing the results.

@@CarsNToys Great video but damn I suck at working on cars so I bought the fan on the internet for $80 and my friend installed it for $40.
Very helpful. I installed the dual fan assembly today on a Nissan Quest after watching this video. Thank you. Very cold AC without moving the van now.
Good stuff! Cheers.
Great video. Helped out alot. Think I need to replace the fuses b/c only one fan is spinning; don't have anyway to test😌
You done all that just to show us,a big thumbs up

Fantastic video ! Well done and Thank you 😉
AWESOME VIDEO! thanks! I have one question my fans are working fine it's just that they're hitting the radiator. can you help me out what do I do?
Was the vehicle involved in a front end collision? If everything is factory/oem, you should have enough clearance.
Hey, thank you so much for the video!! I really appreciate it!!! Now I can fix that annoying noise the motor was making.
Charles Tolliferreo Glad to help, Charles.
This is an extremely helpful video, but I am having the hardest time unplugging the Radiator Fan Motor Wire Harness. Any advice?
+Daniel Gross Keep trying. It's a waterproof connection and very tight.

pepboys are fucin scam artists
I have a 2000 nissan quest that is overheating and the fan is not coming on. Would this be similar to that?
+Cathy Massey Sure would. You can hook up a 12v battery source to the fan and see if it kicks on. Good luck!

Thanks. The harness is long enough to reach. I just need to know if I swap the harness I won't burn the motor or cause a fire :)

Thanks for video, just replaced in my '01 I30. Thankfully I didn't have to dig for that housing sensor like on this Maxima as it was right on top.
Hi i was thinking to replace the fan of my infiniti 01 i30 by myself. Mine is making little bit noise suddenly. Was it hard to do that?
