You only really want currency + some sort of generic premium tab to be able to sell stuff in PoE2. You should probably leave some points left over since they will probably release a couple more useful tabs. If you intend to play PoE1 at whatever point, then you want map and fragment tabs. You can never really go wrong with generic premium or quad tabs, but you'd probably never fill over $200 worth of them ever. ~$80 of them in PoE1 and $40 in PoE2 probably already exceeds what most people will ever use. While they cut back a lot of things for PoE2 compared to PoE1, PoE1 is also 10 years down the line in terms of content updates. PoE2 will potentially have 30 leagues worth of bloat by 2034 too which makes more tabs more valuable over time.
If you plan on playing multiple characters I would highly recommend a flask tab. It's not as essential as a currency or gem tab but being able to give your other characters a godly low-level flask is a game changer early to mid game. You can get by with just setting an affinity on a regular or premium tab but being able to sort by level reduces some time in town
In poe 1 you could Ctrl+RIGHT click, instead of left, to move all duplicate items at once. Saves a ton of time. I haven't tried it in poe 2 yet, but im sure it also works.

The unique tab is one of the biggest space savers of them all. If you intend to keep 1 of every unique you almost have to have it. Else you will need a dozen of regular tabs :-)
Quad tab is worth the same as 4x premium tabs. BUT, you get a small discount when you get the 6x premium tab bundle. Therefore, quad tabs are slightly more expensive per space than regular tabs. However, it should be noted that there's more perimeter on the smaller tabs. ie, without carefully stuffing them full, it's easy for more spaces to be left empty on the smaller tabs because once you get to the last row only some items start to fit. So while the 6x regular tabs do technically hold more space for money, in de facto actual use it's probably pretty much a wash. Quad tabs are popular as dump tabs because you can just dump everything in one place for a while without having to switch pages or worry about the edges so much. But having MORE tabs is more helpful with pricing things and organizing things. I think most people should get a set of 6x tabs before their first quad.
Does setting the tab to a "set Price" for all, automatically start selling the items at that price? I noticed the price isn't on the item like other tabs
I had a quick look on their webshop and IMMEDIATELY bought the corgi pet as I have one at home :). Hope they don’t take too long to convert all cosmetics to PoE2.
Is there any advantage of a quad tab vs premium tabs? At the current sale price of 165 for 6 premium tabs, that's 27.5 each, vs a quad tab on sale at 120 which comes out to 30 if it was normal-sized.
I use quad tabs as "arrival" tabs throwing all items unsorted in when I jump to the camp for emptying my inventory. Because I hate to be interrupted in my "kill flow" by sorting and selling and salvaging items.
@@IamaQuadChannel Which is the advantage of having more tabs. Take anything super valuable out of it. Price the whole tab and never come back until someone wants something from it. But if you do decide to empty it.. you can set a shop and the stash right next to each other in your hideout and convert it all pretty fast.
Im sooo confused how the premium trade works. So if someone want to buy w/e item you put in, do i have to add that person and port to them and meet them personaly? Figuring out how much things are worth is one of the more difficult struggles in this game for a new player. Then figuring out how much currency is worth is another battle. Maybe you can do a video explaining why somethings would be worth more than others. Been posting this to a number of PoE vets. Follow-up question, if I may. I ran into an issue this morning that has me flummoxed, and trying to figure out 1) why it's a thing, and 2) how to fix it are both in short supply. First a very brief background: due to some issues I had with my account and Twitch drops, I had little choice but to buy a 2nd $30 key on the PS5 (I initially had it on my Series X.) As you predicted, the sale for stash tabs went live last night and I spent this morning going through both XBox and PS5 to spend my 300 Points in each account (600 Points total.) Although the accounts are "unified" (my characters appear regardless of which platform I'm on) it kept my Point totals segregated. I made what I considered to be fairly discerning decisions on the tabs, first on PS5. Got most of my specialty tabs, a premium quad tab and life was good. I then switched over to the XBox, and first confirmed that the tabs were there (they were.) I then went into the shop and started spending my other 300 points on more tabs (mostly upgrading normal to premium and a few others.) I then went back into the stash, but nearly all my tabs had turned into REMOVE ONLY. I played PoE1 veeeeery casually back probably 8-10 years ago, there was nothing in the tabs there. And I didn't start playing PoE2 until the Early Access launched last week. Also, I don't belong to a guild. This was and is all very confusing to a newbie player like myself. As near as I can tell from what very little info I can glean, the games make a distinction between "legions" (which I'm assuming is "Exile-ese" for "seasons") and what they term "Standard" (or permanent.) The issue is, I never even got to interact with some of those tabs before they were marked as RO. To make matters worse, I gated out and then back, and now those same RO tabs are actually missing! It has me spitting mad because those tabs cost me actual money, and they're apparently MIA. And there doesn't appear to be a way of manually switching between legion/standard play. So did I just piss away $60 worth of tabs, or are they hiding someplace? Explain it to me as you might to a 5 year-old, because you wouldn't be that far off. Between the Twitch drop fiasco last week and now the stash tabs, GGG is making it harder and harder to justify playing this game. Change my mind, please!
