IIRC the urban legend was of sightings where you would be driving down a highspeed road like a highway then in the middle of night as you're driving you'll look in your rear view mirror and see an old lady speeding towards you before vanishing. I think in some of those stories shes also driving a car though? I've heard different variations of it but for anyone curious it is a real urban legend.

One thing you gotta love about dandadan is that the author quite literally threw in every single criteria for a good anime. But not making it feel overwhelmed or outshadow stuff like the romance aspect, its planned to perfect with balance. The totally insanity of dandadan is just gonna keep exeeding expectations. Whatever crazy stuff you think they can pull off, they wiill take it 10 steps further. (The weird fan service in the ep will quickly dimish after a few ep, so don't worry)

As a manga reader I couldn't be happier with how well this first episode has been adapted! I only hope it continues on like this or even better! The plot is amazing, and the Mangaka is Fujimoto's (Chainsaw man Mangaka) old assistant which you can see a lot of inspiration from!

As a dandadan manga fan, this was sooo well adapted. The use of colors was so cool, and the way the tunnel extends as Okarun runs (which doesn’t happen in the manga) was amazing
By the way, Kensuke Ushio composed the soundtrack for this anime; he’s the one who crafted the masterpieces of soundtracks for Chainsaw Man and A Silent Voice 😃

The manga is so peak, it is about aliens and ghosts, but more than anything it's about the relationship between all of the characters. All the other craziness is just an excuse to throw them into wild situations.
