Paul, im not a ford man by any means, but i could sit all day and listen to you talk about them. The 80s touring cars were my era, and its great to see the passion you have for them
The knowledge you have about these cars is second to non. Seriously I hope everything you know, gets documented for future generations to enjoy and learn about. I’d love to see these classic in person

It's such a shame that the prices of Cosworths have just gone ridiculous recently. More and more they are being pulled out of the hands of true fanatic owner obsessives and instead into the hands of the super rich that most likely won't ever even drive the cars. Instead they just lock them away in AC lock ups for the values to increase even more as speculators. That's why it's becoming increasingly rare to find proper owners that actually love and use their cars, like you and the nutter with the 500bhp one (it had the very expensive gearbox that he wouldn't admit the true value of) that was doin doughnuts and driving like a loon haha!
That digital gauge was boost gauge/controller its negative value because your just in vacuem

I remember Slim Borgudd! and ive seen this car at oulton park a few years ago, it drove into the pasdock and sombody put it up on the air jacks and everyone of a certain age just flocked to it! absolutely stunning machine.
incidentally ive just found a scale model of the watsons water car for sale on ebay with j&w gifts and hobbies !

Another great video, bringing back memories of the touring car championships from back in the day. As soon as the video finished I looked for the footage of Paul Smith doing the hill run at Goodwood in that car, and what a car!! On dodgy tyres and he still smashed the fastest time, taking first place. Absolutely love the RS500, never been a car like it and never will be. Anyway, great video and look forward to the next one. Great video as always. I'm late to the channel and have a question. Where does Paul actually do the restorations? The garage I/we see isnt the actual workshop, where the rebuilds get built.
