      They are designed for our light bars, But if the light bar is 31.5 inches from end cap to end cap it should work. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Does this kit re use the splash shields / radiator duct plastic pieces that would otherwise secure into the holes that the new brackets mount into? If so, how do you modify them to work?

    Just did the install. Video was very helpful, except for a couple things. 1) They don't show putting the light bar in.... that was a little tough. I had to uninstall one of the brackets to get it to fit. 2) This kid has skinny arms. My larger arms made it a little harder to contort myself into a position to tighten the bolts on the light bar. 3) My parts packet didn't look like the video. In fact, no lock nuts at all, but it did have lock washers. Had to come up with a couple washers to complete the install. 4) Video doesn't show where to mount the relay. I used a self tapping screw to attach it to the sidewall. 5) lastly, the video didn't show how to make access to the area to mount the switch, but I found another video on how to pull the panel on the left of the steering wheel. Other than that, it was a good tutorial and the light bar is Badass.

    • @NW_Mechanic
      @NW_Mechanic 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah if you go by the video and put both brackets and you cannot get the light bar in. I just put the one bracket on the driver side then slid the bar in the place and then put the other bracket in. And it's not easy to get the screws in to the end of the light bar then get them tight and adjust the light. It is very awkward to get your arm in there and get it tight.

      I can't believe more people aren't catching on to this. The easy way is to combine the 2 red wires but you would think Cali Raised would point this out in their install video. I would imagine most people would want the switch to illuminate with the others.

    Great light bar, I just installed it this weekend. I am very happy with the results, the wiring was a success also. One thing, if you could put a bend on the brackets where they attached to the place where the air dam is ( the middle plastic pin) you probably won’t have to discard the air dams. Just a thought, otherwise very happy with your products.

    None of your videos cover where to put the little black box along the cable. I've got 2 of your accessories (and love them) but both cables' little black boxes don't fit on the same bolt holding in the fuse box. What's your suggestion without having to make another purchase?

      Take a small sheet metal screw and bolt them to the inner fender. Or the best option is to get our relay holder: caliraisedled.com/products/2005-2020-toyota-tacoma-4runner-bolt-on-relay-holder?_pos=1&_sid=aa5f722c6&_ss=r

      @@CaliRaisedLED Thanks, I was hoping you could point me to where under the hood I can bolt them to safely. I tried putting them into the available bolt holes in the frame (the same 2 your relay holder bolts to) but the holes in the relay were too narrow for those bolts. Do you have a suggestion *other* than buying another thing?

      Update: light bar is installed, functions and looks amazing. Everything from the after market switch and wiring harness are fantastic. Just some awarenesses to self installers:
      #1. Don’t know where the locking washers go. No instructions included with the kit.
      #2. VERY challenging getting the Allen wrench bolts into the side of the light bar.
      #3. Getting the light bar into place can be challenging as well. (Some direction on this process would be super helpful.)
      BUT this kit, it’s quality, and this video are amazing quality. I couldn’t be more excited with how everything looks and turns out. Thanks for a great product.

    • @CaliRaisedLED
      @CaliRaisedLED  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello,
      The difference is in the beam pattern of the light. The spot will throw a very far distance with little side to side coverage. The combo is a combination of a spot and flood. It will give you a nice distance along with a great overall coverage area. If you have any questions please email us at info@caliraisedled.com or give us a call at 714-752-6315

    Looks like you hardwired it in. 99% of the time I always prefer to run a relay to the 'parking lights' so the light's can ONLY come on if you have the factory perking light's on. Do like the design of the brackets.

    • @CaliRaisedLED
      @CaliRaisedLED  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @xziang

      That is good with the wire loom. Just not a fan of having a light bar hardwired in. Rather have auxiliary lighting wired in so you have to have the 'parking' lights on in order for them to be turned on. Just my preference.

      Bob Xziang you can wire these up anyway you prefer. I found that with the way Cali Raised shows in this video is nice because if I need the light without the vehicle on I can run it. The switch they sell is cool because it lights up when it’s energized. Yes you have to be responsible and make sure to turn it off but hell if you can’t tell you left your LED bar on you might want to get your eyes checked. This bar is bright! To each is own but this wiring set up is great for me.

    Just did the whole install last night, it was pretty simple and took about 2.5 hours taking my time, drinking a few beers and watching the video. The most difficult part was sliding the bar into place. The bar is so long and the video didn’t show that part however you can figure it out with some playin around with it. My package didn’t come with any instructions so this video was my only source. It was nice to have all the tool sizes from the video. I love the bar and it’s so freaking bright, I’m telling you I have harnessed the power of the sun. My ditch lights are on the way! Thank you Cali Raised in providing as advertised accessories!

I'm installing the light bar, ditch lights, fog lights, some lights that fit in the grill, and then a few of the OEM style switches on a panel. I recently just put a bunch of lights on my Jeep, but I think I'm going to have to go with the Cali raised LED use on my new Toyota build that I am in the process of doing right now. I really like your lights over some of the competitors.
