The story of the game of certain archeological sites on the planet forming a perfect circle is actually based on fact. At least, according to a documentary i saw a few years ago. Also, the guy talking to indy in the first scene sort of reminds me of a dutch actor named Jeroen Krabbe, when he was still young.
Given the studio, and previous Indiana Jones games, like tomb of the emperor and fate of Atlantis, im so down for another adventure in the spirit of the movies! Gameplay or not, the story and charm of Jones really is what made those stories stand out as just fun adventures.
You guys should watch the behi n-d the scenes developer direct section of this. They explain a lot, but don't spoil anything. It will definitely get you excited for this coming during Christmas time. All the questions you are having in this video gets anwered in the direct first look,
If you want to see them explain the gameplay more they have an extended look from the dev direct. It may be too spoiler heavy for you guys though so watch at your own risk.
It’s a 1st person game with cut scene/ interaction moments in 3rd person. I’m hyped for the game but it should have been options for doing 3rd person or 1st person. Would add far more gameplay value and they made an amazing Indy model and we only get to see him occasionally? That’s a really crap thing to do.

There were 3 or more 3D Indiana Jones games before Uncharted, they weren't just "point and click games". Not to take it away from it being first person, but to correct that towards the end you suggested there weren't other Indiana Jones games beyond the p&c ones.

I'm seeing a lot of weird discourse surrounding Troy's voice. I don't get it. Yes, you can obviously tell it's Troy (I heard it right from the get go before it was even officially revealed to be him), BUT I think Troy has absolutely NAILED Harrison's cadence. It's not a perfect match in tone, but the cadence is right there. I think he sounds great personally.
I thought the same about Cyberpunk but now I can't imagine it any other way. However, there are like a dozen Uncharted and Tomb Raider games combined that prove 3rd person is the way to go with this genre😂 But maybe that's why they made it an fps, so that it stands out.

But when you're playing an iconic character like Indiana Jones, I feel like it'll better in 3rd person so I can see him. Now, WHY couldn't THIS be released in theaters as a CGI-Animated feature film, with the star actors voicing their characters (Respeecher, if needed, to get the more youthful tones of Indy and friends)?!. My guess is, this is taking place sometime between 1944 and 1946. I guarantee, this story mode is probably more of a crowd-pleaser than that live-action movie that was released last Summer...the one I still haven't watched (and probably never will).

Have you never heard the titles of Indiana Jones movies? They are literally subtitles of the story of the movie. The great circle also has a documentary because it's actually true... we just don't know the reason behind it (only theories).

Watching the explanation makes sense. A full 3rd person would change the game totally because the narrow tunnels, little details, wips pointing..
