I got to watch this movie in theaters when it came out with my mother and sister. My mom stood up screaming in the theater, brushing imaginary spiders off herself during the opening tarantula scene.
36:39 That submarine was from 'Das Boot' ...the crew arrived at the set one day, to find it missing... turns out, it was rented out to Spielberg for Raiders of The Lost Ark... but they forgot to notify the movie crew.. (it was only used for external shots)
I consider Raiders of the Lost Ark an absolutely perfect film. There's not a single second I would change in that movie. Every human emotion is triggered while watching Raiders, what more can you ask for in a film?
Saw this when I was six. I LOVE the film as well but there is one fatal plot error that makes it less than perfect. The protagonist should be the one who foils the conflict. The bad guys get the Ark in spite of our hero and the power of God kills them all. Spielberg acknowledges this in Temple' by having Indy recite a prayer that makes the Stones flare up and leads to Mola Ram's death. That's what he left out of Raiders. IF Indy had recited some prayer to "activate" the Ark's power, THEN it would be the perfect film. All Indy really does is save Marion in Nepal. Other than that he delays the inevitable out come; Bad guys want the Ark, bad guys get the Ark, God kills all the bad guys. We don't even need Indy in the film.
I appreciate the care you took in editing all the best lines *in* to this reaction. So many reactors take the easy way out to editing, often missing these very lines! That will be the difference between 10k subs and 250k subs! Good luck!
On the day of the famous 'shooting the guy with the big sword' scene, Harrison Ford (Indy) was actually not feeling well. So instead of a big fight between the two actors, this scene was improvised.
U-boats of that time could only stay submerged for a few hours at a time so they didn't submerg unless they had to. In fact, modern submariners don't even refer to them as submarines but as submersible surface vessels.
I knew that but what I wonder is how long did he have to stay on top of that submarine without drinkable water? He likely would have been at least a couple of days.
What's really going to mess with your head is - where is the crate containing the Ark supposed to be on that submarine? It has no cargo hold, nor a door or hatchet big enough to let it inside. So, the crate must be rigged to the top of the boat, which only gives it another reason to sail on the surface.

A superb reaction to an incredible film. I love watching such a positive reaction to a film I first saw in 81, which gave me the same buzz that has not diminished over time.
For me, this movie has a couple of homages to 1959's Journey to the Center of the Earth, a classic adventure yarn. First is the rolling boulder, and Diane Baker who played Jenny in the film references Raiders on the blu-ray as having been influenced by a similar scene where James Mason & co had to outrun a boulder rolling down a tunnel. Second is 8.36, the way to find the Well of Souls is similar to the mountain Scartaris illuminating which crater is the entrance to the underworld.
There would be no reason for the U-Boat to submerge, WW2 hadn't started, so nobody would be hunting them, and their surface speed was 6x their submerged speed.
Great reaction to the first movie in the Indiana Jones trilogy! Along with Harrison Ford, the only other actor to appear in all three Indiana Jones movies is Pat Roach, British bodybuilder, wrestler, actor, and from what I've read an all around nice guy. He also dies in each movie, though much of his screen time and his death were cut from The Last Crusade, but it was filmed so it counts. 😛 To make up for it he dies twice in this movie, first as one of the Sherpas in the shootout at Marion's bar, and then again as the burly German boxer at the airplane. He also had a much larger strong supporting role in the movie Willow. And Marion, a very capable woman who we all loved when the movie came out. No shrinking violet, she was willing to stand and fight when the odds were good and bide her time when they weren't. Loved the reaction and looking forward to more! Also: the warehouse at the end was the inspiration for the great SyFy show Warehouse 13. 😀
the burn on his hand is the reason why the nazis had a copy of the headpiece... but also why they only had one side and ended up digging in the wrong place.
Apparently, the spider scene with Indy was shot before the one where they were on his helper. The spiders on Indy, all male, wouldn't move at all, so when the time came for the other scene, the spiders' trainer added a female. Adding her worked, as you can see.
24:20 "Which part is worse, the spiders or the snakes?" Well, the spiders were a bunch of tarantulas, harmless little sweeties. Most of these snakes are harmless, non-venomous snakes and legless lizards. A few are venomous, however. So overall, the snakes are more dangerous. That said, no snakes (or legless lizards) were harmed in the making of this movie, but many of those spiders were hurt or killed, so may that makes the scene worse for the disregard for the safety of their 8-legged actors.
For more than 40 years, the melting and exploding of the villain heads has never become boring but becomes more and more interesting especially with the availability of Bluray 4K and 3D. I have watched this movie 🎥 hundreds of times and this scene ten hundreds of times and never get bored. Used to watch this in the cinema back in 1981, on 📼 vhs tapes, VCDs, laser discs, dvd discs and Bluray discs. Back in the 80s and 90s, I used to watch this movie 🎥 at the nearest library where I used to live. Each time I booked the timing for viewing, I always try to choose late afternoon say around 6pm when the sun is still up and shining, at which time the movie will end around 8pm. Then I got to exit the viewing room into the main part of the library where the lighting ambience is EXACTLY as portrayed in the final scene of ROTLA. Then I whistled a bit of the Indy theme or later I managed to recall the brief musical notes of the ark theme while casually sauntered over to the shelf that I know contains the King James Bible and read the pages that describe the Ark Of The Covenant in detail and what it did to those impetuous enough to open its lid and peek inside. Those were the good old days😊
A 10/10 perfect blockbuster adventure film. The only tiny thing I would alter, is putting the deleted part where the old man warns Indy and Sallah from looking into the Ark back into the cut. Without it, we are kind of lost as to how Indy knows that Marion and himself have to keep their eyes shut when Belloq opens it.
In case it helps, the spiders in the first temple are mild mannered mexican red knee tarantulas. Even if you abused one enough to be bitten, their venom isn't dangerous to humans. I kept them in the '70s and '80s.
This is one of my favorite movie. Saw it as a kid and was the reason why I love archeology and ancient history. I even majored in archeology when I was at the university during my first two years. I had to change business because my parents made me so I could get a job and pay my student loans. It didn't stopped my from going to the library and read on various subjects. I even had a class with the famous William G Dever and I even told him I disagree with one of his theories. I have a very small collection of ancient middle eastern artifacts.
Hey fellow Aussie, I just discovered ur channel and also subbed, I loved ur reaction and I can’t wait to go and watch ur past reactions to stuff and also see ur newer ones whenever they come out :D
I just love how it made that shot so much more memorable!! That would've been a rough day for filming though. Makes you appreciate what actors and film crews go through when filming!
One small thing I appreciate about this movie is that they put the effort in and used native german speakers (or had very good language coaches). In most American movies the non english parts are usually quite poorly done and barely understandable to native speakers 😅 Also in my opinion all Indy movies are worth watching though some are better than others. My favorite is the 3rd one (followed by this one) but I don't regret having seen the others!
That's really awesome to know!! I know that can be hard to get right when there's secondary languages involved like that Thanks for your thoughts! I keep hearing really great things about the 3rd one as well. I super look forward to watching it!!
@@Kageric There is a character in the 3rd one and their interactions with Indy are the best (I'm being vague to avoid spoilers!) Of the cuff I would rank them 3, 1 … 5, 2, 4 (although the last three are roughly on the same level) And regarding spider vs. snakes scene. Well, I had to cover my eyes through the spider scene but the snake scene didn't bother me at all. IRL I would probably immediately fall over from a heart attack if I had those spiders on me ☠😅
That U-Boat would not submerge unless it absolutely had to. Its diesel-electric engines power batteries with a two-day capacity, so the only oxygen the crew would breathe while submerged would be recycled through filters. U-boats often traveled on the surface unless in a hostile area.
As a child of 81, i grew up on this stuff. Many a GIJoe adventure took place because of this movie. I was that dorky sound effects kid completely lost in my imagination. I love a good adventure flick.
I was 6 and my brother 3 when we saw this. He wanted to be an archeologist, until he found out that they don't really do all the stuff that Indiana Joes does. I love those Spielberg ghosts/spirits. Great 80s practical effects.
Digging for stuff IS fun, so I don't blame you having the itch. My dad had a small construction company, usually contracted to do work for a certain town, and would occasionally find stuff like old coins from a nearly a century before. He got a metal detector since we lived on property where an old stage coach stop & road had gone through. He'd let me take it and go digging for stuff. Mostly odd and useless stuff but some low denomination coins. It was still an enjoyable time. The oddest thing was him showing me how to dowse for metal items with a pair of copper rods with the ends bent at 90 degrees for a handle. Shockingly, it worked quite well for finding shallow metal objects within about an inch of the surface. Sounds crazy but it worked without much needed other than holding them out straight ahead of you and walking until they both rotated back to your chest, making an 'X' over a spot with something metal below. Repeat over the same spot from different angles to narrow down the exact dig spot. Just didn't have the potential to pick the stuff up as deep as the metal detector.
😊 one of my favorite movies. Seen it many times. Now when I watch I quote lines. I mean traveling the world, biblical implications, love. I love this movie. 👏👏🥰
As one snake lover to another, I really enjoyed your reaction to RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. I also commend you on your outfit. I've joined your channel to get notifications. I also see that you respond to comments which is something few that have these channels do. I have just one suggestion if you want to grow your channel. You need to post more than one reaction per month. I would suggest at least twice a week, three times per week if you have time. I loved this reaction and hope to see more.❤😊
Thank you for the very lovely comment!! Yep, posting more often would be a goal but I just need to find a way to do it. Whether that be hiring an editor, or finding ways to cut time in my own editing process. But yeah I hope someday I can reach that point!! Thanks for your input 🩵👍
Good job. I did see this in the theater, and yes I got my.first degree in Anthropology. My mind went blank on all the trivia I used to know. Have a great day
Yeah, it was fascinating, I did change to physical anthro, focusing on evolution, and was working on papers about dentition. Long story about teeth, lol. Anyway, your doing a great job and I really enjoy your reactions and also you gameplay (or what ever you kids call it.... lol) live streams. Can't wait to see the next one.
That means so much, thank you!! I want to upload more often but yeah it takes time for me to edit each one. I hope someday I can release more for the wonderful community here on YT 🩵
Recently I remembered watching it at movie theater, while instead in 2010s some time was also passed since my last TV viewing, I rewatched it from DVD and had a real blast :)
That's awesome!! I think it's one of those films that can be appreciated more with each rewatch! I was finding interesting details that I missed at first when I was editing.
Hi. I'm here to apologise, because in my previous message (I don't know how, since the title of the video is very clear) I've misunderstood the situation, thinking that this was a gameplay video of the new game. ^^; So, I've just watched your reaction and I enjoyed it. (I'm much more afraid of spiders too :) ). It's always quite exciting for me when someone watches this classic movie for the first time. And I'm glad you enjoyed it. :) I think you could watch the second (Temple of Doom) and the third one (Last Crusade) as well, because (in my opinion) they are great movies too. (Last Crusade in particular). For the game, I'm still downloading it (my internet connection is a bit slow for today standard and the game is more than 100gb) but I have good vibes on it. I hope you'll enjoy playing it too. Thank you and sorry again for the mistake. :)
You have to remember, this was supposed to be reminiscent of radio serials of the 40s and 50s. Noticing the music, sound effects, playing up of Belloq's "evil" laugh, and quirky dialogue/slap stick were all supposed to harken back to that time. You are quire far removed from them, but being the last child of GI Generation parents, I had the opportunity of listening to these serials. My family members had recorded their favorite episodes and would frequently listen to them when they babysat me. I was more familiar with celebrities of the 50's than the 80's.
What happened between Marion and Indy is that he was a 25-year-old graduate student and she was his advisor's 15-year-old daughter. "I was a child. I was in love. It was wrong and you knew it." They later retconned her age to have been 17, which was supposed to have made it better. I could probably have seen it as better if they'd also have retconned him to have been 20 or 21, then maybe, but they didn't, and it wouldn't have worked anyway since he'd have then been an undergrad and wouldn't have an advisor. Probably best to chalk that bit of the character background as being a movie made in the 80s and set in the 30s.
Indy is such a great character, Harrison Ford is so perfect in the role. Another great 80’s movie especially for an aussie to react to is Crocodile Dundee if you haven’t seen it, would love to see your reaction to that one.
He really is perfect for the role! I've seen Crocodile Dundee, but it's been so long that I may do a rewatch at some point since I've forgotten so much about it!
Great fun reaction gorgeous ❤️ I'm sure others will point out many fun facts... One that I think is cool. At the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland (CA) one of the trucks used in the chase scene was loaned to DLand to be displayed at the entrance of the ride.😎
Hi, how are you? :) I'm writing the comment to support you and help you with the TH-cam algorithm, because I'll probably be watching your gameplay in a while. In fact, I'm downloading the game right now and will play it in the next few days/weeks. I've always loved IJ's movies and games, so I'm hoping this new game will be a great ride too (it should be, considering the reviews). I hope it will be a great experience for you too. Bye! :)
It’s more graphic than you thought partly because this and the sequel temple of doom are a big reason why the PG13 rating exists. That’s also why there’s a massive fire effect over belloq’s fate, a bit of censorship by way of fire
Ah yes, the good old Wilhelm Scream - I mean it is a George Lucas movie, Wilhelm was bound to turn up somewhere 🤣 The scene with Indy shooting the swordsman is one of my favourite smaller scenes. Initially because it's absolutely my sense of humour, but also it was apparently a last minute adlib because Harrison was very unwell that day and wasn't able to do the fancy fight scene they originally planned.
You hit on one thing that had some people upset. Marian is in her mid 20's and they had a relationship 10 years ago, so she was only a teenager at the time and he was definitely an adult working with her father.
To be specific...Indy is about 10 years older than Marian. Indy was 25(ish) when their relationship began and Marian was believed to be 15. He then left after a year or two when she would have been 16-17. Important to remember that it was the 1920s and it wasn't that unheard of. Tbh...in the movie she seems more pissed at him leaving than at their relationship itself.
Excellent reaction you should see them all yes and I would even see you with crystal Calls one more time after you’ve seen the rest of them you might like it better than you did the first time when you see the rest of them and yes, there was one more Indiana Jones five which is the dial of destiny. That’s the newest one not the other one, but I think but it’s still good if you like Indiana you liked the other ones then you should watch that one too thanks for the fun until next time.
My favorite is the 3rd one, the last Crusade. You'll get people that say don't watch the sequels, I didn't think they were that bad, definitely not as good as the earlier ones. So I say watch them to decide for yourself, everyone has their own opinion.
This was my favorite movie as a kid Then someone pointed out that Dr. Jones is a fuck-up. While he ultimately survives his endeavors, all his initial plans fail. Starting with the sand bag measurement, then losing the idle, the rope swing that doesn't make it halfway to the boat-plane, he comes real close to losing all his fights and ultimately loses the ark. He's the most gifted bum/buffoon. (Not sarcasm just a new appreciation of this adventure) But then he boards the submarine, the music swells and grows then doesn't stop until the encounter with US bureaucracy.
In the end, all the "Top Secret" boxes... I like to believe that we find them in the "Warehouse13" serie which has nothing to do with it! 😅 But a good series if ever 😉
Loved your reaction. That last shot of the Ark being stored is Actually an Amazon warehouse. It's been thought, said or typed before I've not been aware of it. It just comes to my mind. Crazy time we are living in. Much love anyway.
I saw this when it premiered in theater one of my favorites. I got another one of my favorites you should react to, The Final Countdown (1980) The U.S.S. Nimitz goes back to December 6th, 1941. It's filmed on the Nimitz. It's like Top Gun meets Back to the Future.
Yes ..sand inside the Ark. It held the Ten Commandments.... stone tablets, which would have eroded into sand long ago. I enjoyed your reaction a lot. You seemed to get everything on the first shot and didn't get hung up on Indy and Marion's prior relationship like most female reactors. You realized if they wanted us to dwell on it, they would have dragged that plot point out a lot longer. They told us only what we need to know for the story. You also didn't get hung up on the violence (which is relatively mild) ..again, like many young female reactors. You realize a hero has a job to do.... people are going to get hurt. Please watch Harrison Ford in *Patriot Games* (1992) and *Clear and Present Danger* (1994). Harrison portrays the Jack Ryan character from the Tom Clancy novels. Great political action/thrillers.
He was about 25, she was originally supposed to be 11. The other writer took issue with this an said she better be older. I think older became 14. Her dad was mad for a reason.
I've enjoyed the new game so far, really captures the vibe from the movies well. If you enjoy the movies you should like it as well. Maybe watch the first trilogy first, but I guess you'd be okay with just the first movie too. My favorite is Last Crusade, the third one.
Oh good to know!! I'm glad you're enjoying the game so far! I hear so many people say they love Last Crusade and it makes me so excited to check it out!
Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade are the two must-see films from the franchise. I've never been a fan of Temple of Doom, but if you go into it knowing it is a prequel to anything in the first film, it helps (I just find it over-the-top and nowhere near as good as the first and third films). Anything after the original trilogy can be completely ignored.
3:08 Considering where you live, I thought that was weaned off with birth! 9:09 as an avid bible reader; it doesn't speak of that at all. this is a mandatory disclaimer. 17:02 Fun Fact, there was a whole elaborate fight scene planned. However, Harrison Ford was sick at the day of shooting, so he asked "Can't I just shoot him?" the rest is history! Did you happen to recognize Indys egyptian friend Salah? in LOTR he plays Gimli!
The character Indiana was supposed to be early mid 30s when they made Raiders. Later they decided the character's age which would have made Indy 37 in Raiders. Harrison Ford was 39 in 1981 when the film was released.
20:30 "I'm sure a lot of people got into archaeology after these films. He makes it seem very exciting." Do YOU think archaeology is like this? Running and fighting and figuring out traps and pet snakes named Reggie? Or do YOU think archaeology is spending years in hot dusty places uncovering ancient buildings with tiny little brushes? It's the second one. These films didn't fool anybody into picking up a whip and a revolver and a plane ticket to Tanis to be an archaeologist. At least, no more than Jurassic Park convinced people into becoming paleontologists so they can get chased around Costa Rica by living dinosaurs. Edit: lol, in your outro you mentioned Jurassic Park enticed you to become a paleontologist, so, eh, what do I know...
You happened to talk about indiana jones game but they just released one yesterday called indiana jones and the great circle which is literally sequel to this movie. Set between raiders of lost ark and last crusade.
According to the transcripts of the script conferences when Indy and Marion had their affair ten years earlier Indy was 25 and Marion was 15. And George Lucas wanted her to be younger!

Oh wow, that's incredibly interesting!! Especially about meeting William G Dever!
@@Kageric I was actually his student. You can Wiki him up. He wrote many books and magazine articles.
Fun reaction! I appreciate the cosplay you put together for it too!
Thank you so much!! Yeah, I had fun with this one for sure!!
Hey fellow Aussie, I just discovered ur channel and also subbed, I loved ur reaction and I can’t wait to go and watch ur past reactions to stuff and also see ur newer ones whenever they come out :D
00:00 She told me a Legend ❤❤🥲
Thanks partner ✌😉
40:48 Yeah... Its Beautiful 💥🔥👻
Its been awhile. Good to see you again. Great reaction as always. 👍🏼
Thank you so much, legend!!!
Good to see you!
and what an amazing movie you've chosen!
Thank you so much, legend!!
I spend decades in the military. I can tell you for a fact that such warehouses like the one at the end of this movie actually exist.
17:06 Fun fact: Harrison Ford had the shits. That’s why he shot that swordsman it was supposed to be a sword vs whip fight.
Correction, he, and every one else, except for Spielberg, had food poisoning. You can see that Harrison wasn't feeling well.
I just love how it made that shot so much more memorable!! That would've been a rough day for filming though. Makes you appreciate what actors and film crews go through when filming!
If you didn't know, this is the second movie chronologically
The third film starts even earlier.
@rickardroach9075 but the bulk of the movie is 38
One small thing I appreciate about this movie is that they put the effort in and used native german speakers (or had very good language coaches). In most American movies the non english parts are usually quite poorly done and barely understandable to native speakers 😅
Also in my opinion all Indy movies are worth watching though some are better than others. My favorite is the 3rd one (followed by this one) but I don't regret having seen the others!
That's really awesome to know!! I know that can be hard to get right when there's secondary languages involved like that
Thanks for your thoughts! I keep hearing really great things about the 3rd one as well. I super look forward to watching it!!
@@Kageric There is a character in the 3rd one and their interactions with Indy are the best (I'm being vague to avoid spoilers!)
Of the cuff I would rank them 3, 1 … 5, 2, 4 (although the last three are roughly on the same level)
And regarding spider vs. snakes scene. Well, I had to cover my eyes through the spider scene but the snake scene didn't bother me at all.
IRL I would probably immediately fall over from a heart attack if I had those spiders on me ☠😅
@@markusw36 Same honestly!! Spiders are my biggest fear. You'd think as an Australian I'd be used to the scary big ones! 🤣
@@Kageric Truly. If I saw a huntsman up in the corner of the room it's now her house, I'm out.
Awesome editing!
My favorite movie. Saw it in Theaters as a kid
That's so awesome! This would've been amazing to watch in theatres!!
Ditto.
I love that!! I hear that this film is the inspiration for so many other films, games, etc which is why it was so high up on my watch list!
YO JOE! You must have LOVED the creation of Serpentor plot in 1986!
Wow!! That must've been really interesting to do!!
25:40 I've always loved that scene with the coat hanger.
😊 one of my favorite movies. Seen it many times. Now when I watch I quote lines. I mean traveling the world, biblical implications, love. I love this movie. 👏👏🥰
I can see why it's a favourite!! There's a lot to love about it!
Have a great day
Thank you so much, Cat!! Also Anthropology must've been a very interesting field to study!
Indy burns 100 snakes... - "Ah, he didn't kill the snakes!"
Trust your eyes, Kageric! 😂
Pet snake Reggie. NY Yankees cap. Named for Reggie Jackson who played for the Yankees 1977-1981.
You don’t upload enough! Every video you post is 👍 I imagine it’s a lot of work so keep up the good job
That means so much, thank you!! I want to upload more often but yeah it takes time for me to edit each one. I hope someday I can release more for the wonderful community here on YT 🩵
The first three films are all great and well worth watching. Stop there.
Hi. I'm here to apologise, because in my previous message (I don't know how, since the title of the video is very clear) I've misunderstood the situation, thinking that this was a gameplay video of the new game. ^^;
So, I've just watched your reaction and I enjoyed it. (I'm much more afraid of spiders too :) ).
It's always quite exciting for me when someone watches this classic movie for the first time. And I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
I think you could watch the second (Temple of Doom) and the third one (Last Crusade) as well, because (in my opinion) they are great movies too.
I’m a huge fan of Indiana Jones, I even cosplay him these movies are just iconic. love the reaction video. Hope we see more of the rest of the films.🤠
What happened between Marion and Indy is that he was a 25-year-old graduate student and she was his advisor's 15-year-old daughter. "I was a child. I was in love. It was wrong and you knew it."
They later retconned her age to have been 17, which was supposed to have made it better.
One of my favourite movies, excited to see you play the game after watching this!
I'm super looking forward to it too!! I've heard they recreated the intro of this film in the game and I'm SO excited to experience that!
What's great about this Classic adventure film is the Iconic raiders march score by John Williams. ❤🦅🦒🌝🌻🎁
Glad you liked it, it's a classic.
-Repairman
Now you need to watch the Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade.
Great fun reaction gorgeous ❤️ I'm sure others will point out many fun facts... One that I think is cool. At the Indiana Jones ride in Disneyland (CA) one of the trucks used in the chase scene was loaned to DLand to be displayed at the entrance of the ride.😎
I'm glad to see you do more movie reactions :3 (recommendation: "A boy and his dog" its a post apocalyptic movie.)
Thank you so much!! Also thanks for the recommendation, I definitely have that one on the radar!
Another good movie which has influenced post apocalyptic scifi is "Radioactive Dreams"
Try National Treasure 2004. Nick Cage, a good Treasure Hunt with a History Lesson.
Hi, how are you? :)
I'm writing the comment to support you and help you with the TH-cam algorithm, because I'll probably be watching your gameplay in a while.
In fact, I'm downloading the game right now and will play it in the next few days/weeks.
I've always loved IJ's movies and games, so I'm hoping this new game will be a great ride too (it should be, considering the reviews).
I hope it will be a great experience for you too.
Bye! :)
Thank you so much!! I hope you enjoy the Indiana Jones game as well. I keep hearing good things about it!
I paused my Indiana Jones and the Great Circle game to watch this!
Omg awesome!!! Thanks for watching, and I hope you're enjoying The Great Circle!!
3:10 *"I hate spiders!"* That has to be tiresome, _down under._
It’s more graphic than you thought partly because this and the sequel temple of doom are a big reason why the PG13 rating exists. That’s also why there’s a massive fire effect over belloq’s fate, a bit of censorship by way of fire
I was able to see all the Raiders films many, many times in the theaters. Hopefully, one of your cinemas will show this on the big screen.
Ah yes, the good old Wilhelm Scream - I mean it is a George Lucas movie, Wilhelm was bound to turn up somewhere 🤣
The scene with Indy shooting the swordsman is one of my favourite smaller scenes.
Oh wow, she was very young then!!
Yeah, that aspect of Indy's past is a "bit" iffy, lol. It was the 30s, I guess...
This was my favorite movie as a kid
Then someone pointed out that Dr.
(Not sarcasm just a new appreciation of this adventure)
But then he boards the submarine, the music swells and grows then doesn't stop until the encounter with US bureaucracy.
None of those thing add up to making him a f*** up.
30:26 My dad couldn't watch this part. In the 60's, he was in the Airforce when he witnessed a 23 year old flight attendant walk into a propeller.
In the end, all the "Top Secret" boxes... I like to believe that we find them in the "Warehouse13" serie which has nothing to do with it! 😅
But a good series if ever 😉
Reggie woulda went flying before I ever said a word.
Let's hope Reggie knows how to fly 🤣
Loved your reaction. That last shot of the Ark being stored is Actually an Amazon warehouse. It's been thought, said or typed before I've not been aware of it. It just comes to my mind. Crazy time we are living in. Much love anyway.
Maybe I missed something but Amazon did not exist when this movie came out.
@@allisterfiend_2112 But sarcasm did.
@@rickardroach9075 Touché!
I saw this when it premiered in theater one of my favorites. I got another one of my favorites you should react to, The Final Countdown (1980) The U.S.S. Nimitz goes back to December 6th, 1941. It's filmed on the Nimitz. It's like Top Gun meets Back to the Future.
3:09 "I hate spiders!" How do you think Alfred Molina feels? Man has made a multi-decade career out of being vexed by Spiders in blockbuster movies.
8:18 the larger man played Porkins in A New Hope, Eckhart in the 1989 Bstk, and, one of the crime bosses in Superman 4.
The new game is a sequel to this movie.
Temple of Doom, the second movie, is actually a prequel to the first movie.
Hey Kage, Naur they burned the snakes. He still had the torches from his landing spot burning too.
10:24 It’s Marion from the Indy instalment you’ve already seen.
lot of foreigners think kookaburra sounds are monkeys, so you get that sound reused in movies a lot
Harrison Ford was 39 in 1981 when the film was released.
the coat hangar is one of my favorite fake outs in all of cinema
20:30 "I'm sure a lot of people got into archaeology after these films. He makes it seem very exciting."
Do YOU think archaeology is like this?
Great reaction. You look just like a young Geena Davis. I hope you get to react to The Fly (1986).
Third Indiana Jones movie is good too.
There she is
Play the videogame once you've finished the first 3 films! It's surprisingly great.
I hope you watch the next 2 Indy movies soon! 😃
Great reaction. You gotta do the Deadpool movies
Last Crusade is the best of the others
You happened to talk about indiana jones game but they just released one yesterday called indiana jones and the great circle which is literally sequel to this movie. Set between raiders of lost ark and last crusade.
8:09 now the story of the sandstorm that’s actually made up for the movie.
Perhaps it was a lyre bird. But then that is also an Australian bird. Also, misnamed. It should be called a liar bird.
I saw this when it came out. I think my favorite scene is the map room scene. Not too fond of spiders or s my snakes.
Nice hat.
According to the transcripts of the script conferences when Indy and Marion had their affair ten years earlier Indy was 25 and Marion was 15. And George Lucas wanted her to be younger!
