    What would be cool is if you are able to show us how to add graphics & dirt to the ball. Like PNG Adidas Logo or Nike. I am trying to figure that out for myself as we speak.

      Okay, good suggestion! Please let me know if it is not solved yet. We will plan for a more detailed tutorial on that 👍 But I am afraid that by the time we actually get it published behind all the scheduled uploads, your job will get done by some way or the other 😂😂 But it can still help others! 😊

      @@johnnygreenshirt6215 While we don't have an exact same tutorial yet, I can give you a reference for a similar tutorial. We added (or projected) a text onto a curved surface in this tutorial 👉 th-cam.com/video/aGM9C6tnoYw/w-d-xo.html Basically it is done using a Shrinkwrap modifier. Your case may be simpler because you are working with a logo or a picture. You need to first import that picture as a plane (Import As Plane option in the File > Import menu), then follow this tutorial and skip whichever part is not needed for your case. If stuck somewhere, you can send your half-finished blend file to 5minblender@gmail.com We'll try to help you. Btw, that tutorial is 3 years old, so the presentation was not great, the background music was also loud. I hope you can ignore those factors, we gradually improved on our presentation later. Regarding the donations, our primary option is Pay Pal only. I mean, Pay Pal is the default option and we have integrated only our Pay Pal account in that Donorbox link. If you are not able to see the Pay Pal option, I don't have a clue why 🤔🤔 When I open that Donorbox link myself (even anonymously), I see the Pay Pal option. In any case, now TH-cam has introduced Super Thanks which works as good as a donation or a one-time appreciation. The difference is, TH-cam takes a huge commission from Super Thanks. Even Pay Pal takes a commission, but it is lesser compared to TH-cam. Last but not the least, I am pleased that you thought about a donation. But if you are not able to donate due to some technical reasons, it is fine. We are doing good on TH-cam and we are happy to have what we have. Your appreciation via a comment is equally priceless for us, thank you so much for that! 💝💝

    The cast modifier is become invisible when I switch to the UV editing window or when I apply it.
    Is that means this modifier won't work if I exported the ball model to my Unity project?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am traveling, so this late response. You can safely apply all the modifiers before export. It does not harm, it only makes the shape changes permanent. When you export a model, the modifiers won't export anyway, you need to apply the modifiers and then export the model.

    To see the effect of the color on viewport you can go down on material and change the color viewport to grey without change to eevve or cycle view. If you want to know how to put some wire on the edges of the ball you can visit my channel mbbdtuto is my recent channel for tutorial

    Thanks for the shaded dirt football. Can you show us how to make a lunar moon surface?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can get a lunar texture map from NASA or similar websites, then use UV unwrap to map that texture to your sphere. Optionally, you can use the same texture as a height map (dark areas are craters and bright areas are plains) and connect it to a bump node which connects further to the normal input. I will create a new tutorial on this, thanks for the suggestion 👍

    • @johnnygreenshirt6215
      @johnnygreenshirt6215 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@5MinutesBlender A note. I have seen others trying to create a lunar texture and the problems with it and why all of them are not worth using. 1. The texture is not big enough meaning when you stretch the lunar surface does not loses texture quality. 2. It needs to be quite large so you have a many different angles. 3. Sketchfab lunar surfaces have back ground added to the Lunar surface so they are unusable. I am talking about the surface of the moon not a globe. This will be a great tutorial but I think there will be issues with this. I am interested to see how you do this.

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@johnnygreenshirt6215 I see what you mean by a lunar texture. Your best bet is to create a procedural texture that adapts with the size or the dimensions of the target surface, it will take care of part of the issues. However, if you also need that this texture matches with the actual map of the surface of the moon, it may be a little more difficult 🤔
