can we use acrylic colours mixed with clay to decorate .....please answer ....and if answer is "no" then what are the ingredients of slip and glaze.....
If you want different colored slip.... what I do is take an entire bag of porcelain clay and turn it into slip... that is the slurry that is left when you throw on the wheel. I put the clay into a bucket add a little warm water and let it sit for a day. I take a paint mixer and turn it into a liquid and sift it through a 80 or 100 mesh sieve. I put it back in the bucket and let it sit for a few days then drain off the excess water. That should give you a nice slip. To make the different colors, put a cup or so of this mix into a canning jar and add mason Stains to each jar for different colors. Look up Mason Stains for clay. Acrylic will burn out in the kiln it is not meant to be fired. You can paint your pottery after it has been fired to maturity .... it will not be food safe or wash well but can be done.
Mary is so charming. It was a joy to watch her. Thanks for posting!
I'm totally in love with the flask!!!
In our next Potter e-factory class we'll be making *mugs for Muggles!*

I realize Im kind of off topic but do anyone know of a good site to watch new tv shows online ?
@Willie Draven I watch on FlixZone. You can find it by googling :)

Native Americans used sand shaped and very soft doe skins. Only know this because I watched a guy doing it yesterday.
Do you have a website where I can order your wooden tool?
Here's a pun I hope you enjoy (I created it myself): Harry Potter calls the Pottery Factory the *Potter e-factory!*
