Much appreciate your comments Josiah 👍 - It's an incredible turn of fate - note to self though mustn't go looking for anymore of my old vehicles or I'll be bankrupt 😜.
It's wonderful to see Noel brought back to life! It broke my heart to find it rotting in the garden, but I'm so pleased I've managed to reunite you two! Looking forward to following the restoration! Good luck, Richard.
I'm massively grateful to you for giving me the opportunity of getting Noel back. He's going to be restored extremely sympathetically without losing any character (I hope). Stayed tuned Rich 👍.
Well you just got another subscriber. These vehicles are highly addictive! They become something of a family pet. I bought a 1966 88” Series 2A, not quite a year ago. It is all original and is essential free of any chassis or bulkhead rust. They are quite rare here in the U.S., and very scarce here in California. I had been wanting one for a while and finding one that had not been over restored with a clean California title was like finding a diamond in the rough. It was still being used regularly on a cattle ranch east of Fresno and came complete with manure on the tires. Looking forward to following along on your project. Cheers👍
Just subscribed to your channel after watching this video, absolutely brilliant it helps me understand what’s what on a classic landrover as I have not long bought a serise 2 for restoration. Please keep the good updates coming👍.
Hey Rich I’m so excited to see how it all turns out. I can’t believe that you’ve been reunited with “Noel”…it was fate for sure. As always wishing you good luck and hope that Noel’s chassis is relatively hole free 🤞🏻
This is good story ! Personally, I'd do everything I could to restore them BOTH in the fullness of time and not use the chassis from Bess for Noel. Give it some thought. It's a marathon, not a sprint ! You are within touching distance of owning two very nice Landrovers. Doesn't matter if it takes a few years. No need to make a decision now about taking the chassis and swopping it. Noel looked great in 2005....this time will come again ! Subscribed immediately.
Hi Chris, Yes now you mention it you were around when I first had Noel - I had forgotten that! Yes Noel is definitely gonna take precedence over Bess.....I feel bad for Bess, but.....🤷
Cheers Yan, really appreciate your comments - as always. It's an incredible turn of fate that shows you mustn't give up on your hopes and dreams. 😉👍
This has made my day. Inspirational stuff! There's nothing quite like a bit of food wrapper archaeology :-)

Good video…. Great story! 🙂👍
Thanks Ian, appreciate the comments - stay tuned for more 👍.
I own a nice ‘59 88 pastel green soft top.
I love these vehicles.
Thanks for your comment, there's something very special about old Landies and the relationship you develop with them.

Thanks so much for your kind comments and subscription - I'm certainly no land rover expert, so we'll learn together 😉.
Bess will sacrifice herself willing to Noel 😂
Can't believe you found him, it must be fate. ✌🏼

@@vonhewittfilms2668 thanks very much for your comment and subscription, a lot of thought will be going into it don't worry 😉.
What a find, is this the one we "tested" the breaks together Rich? So are you going to restore just Noel?
